The wildness of these cars just makes those '80's and '90's F1 drivers like Ayrton Senna even more legendary. Top drivers were insane being able to tame these wild beasts.
@@kitsojerrald7906 Being a Brit has nothing to do with it. Everyone should have tension against Max for the stupid moves he pulled in Brazil. Dutch people included.
The most fun to drive out of all the really fast GT Sport cars. The gear changes are clunky yes, but each gear change feels like an event and keeps you on your toes. The whole car demands your attention and it’s never boring.
Excited to see a new video Steve! GT has been doing some interesting combos for daily races finally. Awesome to see you use one of Cyrus' clips. The man was insane at the combo all week! Great guy and a great teammate.
I made sure to start at the back on this one! Made a lot of overpasses and got gifted plenty more to people spinning out 😂 gotta be nice and steady on this one
I just wanna say thank you, your videos are truly amazing, funny and informative. You’ve managed to bring back my passion for racing and karting, and as a result, last week I treated myself with a nice karting session in an outdoor track and bought GT Sport!
@@23-DJ I used to race ABS off because I thought that was what everybody else did honestly it wasnt that bad but if u trailbrake a lot the car will start locking up so u have to change brake bias a lot on tire wear races but yeah there is no reason to not use ABS in GTS because it isnt actually ABS it's basically just shorter braking
F1500A-T is definitely inspired by late 70's / early 80's F1 cars. It's really resembles a Williams FW07 from 1979 and has other features which remind me of the Brabham BT49.
I think it's actually based on Lotus 97T from 1985 which was in GT6. They had to do some changes to the car due to Lotus not being in GTS at all. So F1500-T is Lotus 97T except it isn't Lotus 97T
Those 1500 turbo's are insane. I needed a lie down after one race at Brands Hatch. Best position for me: 5th. I gave up after that and threw the towel in.
One of the best daily races ever, safe to say I like F1 cars, especially the late 80s beasts. I had a good week, DR increased by like 3,5-4K last week, doing this race :)
Man I loved this combo! Indeed hard to drive.. tippytoeing on the gas but so much fun. More of this car please. 😎👌🏻 Spa, Suzuka, yes! And those oldschool liveries just 🔥
I watched The Kie do quite a few of these. One of the biggest differences to his races was using fuel map 5 or 6 in the midfield right up to around the sweeping left-hander before that 90 at the end of the lap. The next key was throttle modulation.
I would like to see this as well. Having your own battles in a slower car while also having to keep an eye out for the faster cars coming up behind you is a blast.
Imo Interlagos is a very difficult track, oscilates between fast portions and slow turns, just adding to the carnage. I've heard the asphalt isn't that great either irl. Great driving and commentary by the way.
The fact that Nigel Mansell had position and you didn’t give him space proves how crazy this combo was. I practiced, I raced it, it was a mess. I can’t blame anyone for bumps, punts or pushes on this combo, it was a s fun as it was a nightmare.
Only last year did I get into GTS and GT7, due 2 my 13year old son getting Seat, wheel and pedals. I've done some racing on 2 and 4 wheels and it shocked me how realistic and detailed they are..Subscribing and great content m8e..
I didn't realize how much the car physics feel "more alive" and "dynamic/multidimensional" compared to GT Sport until I went back and watched some old videos of yours. Probably bc we just had this exact car at Sazuka.
Driving one of these would be insanely crazy. Like the first thing that makes contact in accident is your legs that are surrounded by some fiberglass and *maybe* a some tubing to reinforce it.
I can't believe Steve managed to talk about this race for 25 min without mentioning 'turbo lag' once. That's the main reason gear changes are so costly. It's also how you could easily tell that the F1500T-A is not a 90s F1 car, as turbos were banned after the 1988 season (the absence of a roll hoop air intake is another indicator), if you didn't already know that it's an unlicensed copy of the Lotus 97T that was in GT6.
I'm a huge European trekking F1 fan. Got addicted 1999 BGP Qualifying only to Monaco 2005. Highlights Spa yet just missed Miki,s..move by walking 2 next corner. Hockenheim Ruben's win, first wet race, track protester ,women killed by lightning strike down a tree on the mighty old circuit. Apart from them Magny Cours was most enjoyable weekend. Hungry was at the time only race I missed
Lol I don't know that I'd say any F1 car has any "driver assists", but I get what you mean. Getting into the power band with the turbo lag of those early 90s cars is insane.
I remember in project cars 1, everyone would turn the boost up and the car was un-drivable, I would turn the boost down and the car was so much easier to drive
Anyone else noticed in the post race screens that these races were run in March 2021? Steve is in Abu Dhabi for this weekend's F1 race and if you have the game you know this race is not part of this week's daily races.
The turbo kicks in late on this car. It is very hard to drive... Keeping the gas a little more than half around the turns I found helps make it a bit more predictable when it will take off but doesn't make it perfect.
If this car was derived from the 97T that was in GT6, I wish they had done something similar with the F60 in GT5, and make their own 09-13 F1 car from that…
Big problem with this car is that even if you drive stick shift and you physicaly have your shifter in gear it still has delay, so you are always missing gear, it drove me crazy on singleplayer.
