    Nobody wants those things!

      You're as dumb as Burgum. Another case where a Republicans "feelings" informs their opinions, not the facts. I realize reading actual research is pretty boring compared to the excitement of sitting through a 3 hr brainwashing segment of Tucker, Hannity, or the like. Honestly, you'd be better off living in a cave with no contact to the outside world than listening to right-wing media. At least then you'd have to come to conclusions on issues using logic and reason rather than parroting lies from someone with a political agenda.

      @drivenbullet260 well, maybehe shouldn't make such dumb comments. A lot of EV's are being sold for nobody wanting them. And you know very well his feelings about them came straight from someone telling him how to feel. Not from actual knowledge on the issue. Sorry it hurts your feelings .

      @gooffy120 Why are you trying to make this political? If people don't want them, then they just don't want them.

    • @gooffy120
      @gooffy120 20 дней назад

      @philipcox5041 that's the point people do want them, but pols like Burgum, who are bought off by oil and gas block things like this for their rich oil buddies.

      @@gooffy120That's not what I'm saying. If you want an electric car, go buy you a 100 of them. If you don't want one, don't buy one. I love EVs but I'm sure not going to purchase one because of our cold weather.

      What's the difference in a snow storm? Ice cars run out of fuel too. An average ice car burns 1 gal per hr idling. Which in most cars would be 15-16 gal so do the math. On an electric car the claimed battery drop to run just the cabin heat is 1% per hr. Let's say it's 3X as bad and 3% as the manufactures claim. A electric car can heat the cabin 15 hrs at 3% hr until the battery kicks out to protect it from damage below 55% charge. So the numbers are pretty similar. Plus, more people stranded in their cars die of carbon monoxide poisoning then from freezing to death

      @@gooffy120 Imagine not being able to have less than 55% of a full tank of gas to "protect from damage". Nothing like not being able to use over half of the capacity, very convenient.

    • @gooffy120
      @gooffy120 20 дней назад +1

      @tinecrinec4769 is that seriously your arguement. You don't think your car uses every last drop of fuel in the tank, do you?

    • @A-Z__124

      @gooffy120
      I can help you with that.
      So, you run out of gas in a snow storm, when it's all over, you can grab a 5gal can of gas and go get your car. If you have a electric car, you will have to call a tow truck and bring it to a charging station.
      More layers of stress to a already bad situation.

      @tinecrinec4769 20 дней назад

      @@gooffy120 No, every drop doesn't get used, but the guage can go close to zero, trying to compete with 55% isn't hard. Plus, A-Z__124 makes an important point that gas is portable and the car can be refuled if ran out, electric is not portable. If you run out, call a tow truck.

    Our local power co-op sends out a little monthly publication, recently with a full page ad warning about “Grid Reliability”. Featured comments are from all the major grid operators and public entities involved. It’s so easy to take electricity for granted when it’s always there at the flip of a switch. Trying to explain grid size problems to those who say “If my power goes out I just call, and the guys in the truck come fix it”, is pointless!

      They're running a business, why haven't they updated their infrastructure. Instead they pay out high salaries and dividends. Their stupid business practices should be anyone's else's fault. They're running on 90 year old infrastructure because they know the public will bail them out when it fails and they'll be long gone by then. Rather then updating over the years now it all needs to be done all at once. So who's or what's really to blame.

      @gooffy120 20 дней назад +2

      So what their little pamphlet is telling you is. We've taken your money for all these years. But we don't invest it wisely in infrastructure, and it's going to fail because of our short sightedness. So please don't do this thing you may like to do because we failed at our jobs.

      @@gooffy120 Goofy, They invested in the so called green infrastructure they were forced into, while having resources that actually work cut off, hence the problem.

      @@BitterrootbackroadsMy local power co-op sends out a publication too. The map they printed shows this area at "High Risk : shortfalls may occur at normal peak conditions".
      Years ago our family took the bus tour they offered to see the Milton R Young Power Station. We also toured the Coal mining area. Both operations were clean, responsible & professional.
