Its so annoying when you’re lead and your teammates push and die instead defending when there isn’t any objectives up. I think they get bored and thats why they attack but still you should respect your lead and not attack if its not needed. Great guide anyways!
This is a great guide as always. RESPECT the enemy team all the time. Doesn't matter if you're ahead or you won lane or if you killed their jungler. You gotta always play smart.
People be throwing my games by trxing to humiliate the enemy team instead of playing safely. And guess what? We're humiliated in the end. How surprising.
Agreed. Never assume that the enemy is weak or that you are too strong for them, because then you get overconfident, get into unnecessary fights and give them catchup exp when they get to gang up on you
So many player don't know that there is farm at 8:00 in the central area, that's one of the key moments of the early game. That's supposed to be the first team fight, and I'm to many times all alone there against 3 or more ennemies.
Some of the common themes I see in solo q at 1600 looking towards your points 1 que up and your teammates pick 4 attackers or more recently 4 defenders 2 goal getter stacking attack weight pikachu lane partner total gigachad 3 clear the 9:15 or 20 neutral farm alone teammate goes to int or even more fun jungler shows up to engage right away and dies on enemy pad at 9:00 4 call out which lane your ganking call retreat near end of rotation opposing lane gets ganked and is stealing your jungle farm 5 I see my team in neutral territory I call gather here to kite towards me they run the exact opposite direction 6 you cant off-lane as the jungler you need to be at objectives, also you need a frontline if your it then you can't be off-laning
Hi, I just played with you while trying to relax between my uni exams! I was the blastoise just then, I kinda fed early game for stacks but with good positioning and grouping at the ray fight we managed to take ray and clutch out a win despite my level disadvantage :) Thanks for playing with me!
When playing a defender bottom path, I like to defend the goalzone (to avoid sneaky goals from the enemy) while my team takes top objective; however, I notice that, in the end, my team mostly suffers losses on top because all five enemies are there, and I have left my team with no defender in the fight. So, should I just join the team and leave bot to another member? Or let an enemy score bottom but be able to secure the objective?
i think to a certain point, ppl are hardstuck cuz theyre picking attackers every game, but once you get to a certain elo, if ur not 1v9 every game you wont be winning… around 1700-1800 solo is extremely difficult to climb to/past since if you arent literally putting your entire team in the backpack a ton of games are unwinnable.
@@UniteClimbing ur right, im almost 1700 and a lot of ur tips still apply, but im starting to feel that playing anything other than my one-trick mew puts me at a significantly lower chance of winning, even in worse comps

Yep the lack of jungle experience hits hard because I feel I have become comfortable lately and completely ignored anything to do with the jungle. Time to learn the basics on that
Don't you just hate it when you are a front line pokemon waiting for so long for your teammates to show up to objective before engaging right, and then you finally engaged with every one there but your teammates decides to not engage with you at objective
The only time you should rush in enemies is when you are 100% sure you have an escape plan, and that it will suceed and then go back to playing safe. You already got your advantage so that's all you need for now, and go farm your exp too
As a mono defender, i almost have a stoke playing with randoms and against zacian. Like bro, they just... i don't know, they just wanna throw the game in the end for some odd reason. And Zacian is a fucking annoyance in very match (the Zacians i get on my team is a pain in the ass and Zacians on enemy team are an unstoppable force, especially with a Comfey).
@@UniteClimbing yeah althrough, i am happy that i reached ultra 5 with my account (i lost my first one, so i made a new account and decided to be a mono defender).
Identify your win con. Playing for the team makes sense when the team is good. If they're ass, you're usually better off playing for yourself and trying to farm as much as possible to carry the Ray fight. That can mean wiping the other team, or putting yourself in a position to last hit Ray. Ideally you want to pick a Pokemon that can take this route if things go south. A lot of people won't like this 'selfish' playstyle, but if your team have shown you several times that they aren't able to back you up in team fights, don't show up to Ray expecting them to play any different. Don't throw the game by dying for teammates that you know are incompetent. This is a last resort though. Don't be that Cinderace twat whose plan A is always to snipe Ray from a bush.
Just a game I played -loses jungle to a9 glacy dual jungle. (They stole, im gengar, they didnt call it) -force feeds said farm to bot lane and enemy zacian -gets crushed -loses objectives cuz teammates feed -jails zacian for 30 secs right before ray -team suicide rushes tower instead of burning ray forcing me to lose a 1v3 -2 other teammates are off farming -we lose, im mvp with 80k damage and 8 kills, the rest barely got 4
So I bought mamoswine several days ago, and Wow that was a lot of fun, now I have like 10,000 aeos coins, should I buy a pokemon now, or should I save for pokemon that cost above 12k aeos coins, or wait another pokemon to get released?
Wait until something feels good in practice mode/standard play. You’ll know when a mon feels good and when to buy it. For example, I didn’t like Espeon at all, but after buff it felt like a good mon to me and now I bought it and practicing with it. On the other hand, I bought plenty of mons I thought were great because streamers were making them look good and for me it was just an awful fit. Like Aegislash. It’s good, but I’m so trash with it. Lol. So pick the ones that are competitive but also feel good/natural to play.
depends on the playstyle you like definitely try each pokemon in practice or with the cards or watch YT videos on how they play to see if you like there playstyle otherwise you can't go wrong with waiting for them to release the next broken pokemon. The playstyle of defender is a lot of fun so you can't go wrong with any of those as well as the support movesets are very unique and you may like to see some of the combos and big brain outplays you can make with safeguard blissey or the portal hoopa outplays. My personal advice would be to consider the following pokemon as they have 2 different playstyles depending on the moveset chosen Greninja, cram, ninetails, lucario, syther, venusaur dragonite, blastoise You can also pick the roaming pokemon which have there own fun in the game sableye, greedent, dodrio
Disaster solo que. Crustle suicides initiate. Garde goes to score without her ultimate. Ray is zapdos 2.0 .. They could have easily thrown that so hard.
you should not play around your teammates shit comps tho, if ur teammates pick 4 attackers then at that point dont bother filling in when you know the game is gonna be long, the only defender you can probably fill in is blastoise spin, but picking a defender or support is gonna make it worse, you have to along the way make your teammates learn to not go 4 attacker comps so they learn the hard way why its a bad play
This video also shows that xspeed is a very good item because you can rush to top or bot lane to help your team and rip that objective

1 que up and your teammates pick 4 attackers or more recently 4 defenders
2 goal getter stacking attack weight pikachu lane partner total gigachad
3 clear the 9:15 or 20 neutral farm alone teammate goes to int or even more fun jungler shows up to engage right away and dies on enemy pad at 9:00
4 call out which lane your ganking call retreat near end of rotation opposing lane gets ganked and is stealing your jungle farm

That feeling as a clefable when everyone else picks attackers and no one wants to jungle 🙄

I think as a defender, if there isn't an objective down bottom, go join the team. Only defend at key points. It's tough macro
Im addicted to watching your videos .
POV you done everything the video says yet still hardstuck cuz of matchmaking and brainless teammates

Can we talk about golden ribbon Gardevoir with leftovers and potion? Do they know something we don’t know?
I feel like held item doesn't matter seeing those creatives! Exp share ninjas & leftover lucas not to mention a missing third item pika! 🎉
No it's dumb and they need to improve at the game (see ray fight for more information on that)
And that Garde tried backcap at Ray when their team already has a lead.

Yeah, it is so simple but 90% Unite players don't understand this.
One of the greatest explaination of how to play the game❤️❤️❤️
Thank you 💙🤍💙
That gardevoir did not have unite move, above their player icons are lil dots. Those dots will glow yellow if someone has unite available.
Yeah I know 🥲
trust in solo q is a precious, but fragile thing :,,,D
My only issue is that I need a different defender. I try my best with Slowbro and crustle, but I just can't get the swing of it
Slowbro is best rn. Use Amnesia and Scald. You should be front line with your attacker behind attacking from a distance
Death to rayquaza throws
i feel like in every match my team just keeps pushing the eleki at 2:30 n get jailed lmao

it is not a good choice to take healing support? like blissey or eldegoss? In soloQ. I thought they could make a difference on Rayquaza. 🤔
Depends on whether your team plays good enough and takes advantage of the healing instead of just... inting at Ray
It can given your team does damage. In my experience in SoloQ, it is rare
What am I supposed to take if my team decides they all want to play attackers?
