When this happens to me I simply take another attacker and still say "we need attackers" in the chat
I know it's not the right thing to do, but at some point patience runs out.
if my team already has 4 attacker,i pick the fifth one unless I want to play defender or supporter
then one of the two happens either you dominate or you get stepped on
Exactly this. And most likely 4 attacker teammates don't even come to teamfights since they have a world of their own. And even if they do, our team gets easily sniped by speedsters and the defender gets left alone
My favorite is seeing the apple. Gotta love 2-3 teammates running apples. Meanwhile opposing team has everything organized.

How do you do that?
When i get put in matches like these, i know right from when my allies held items how experienced they are and when it is bad, i pull a character i main to make it better. Also use the the communication feature. I like using the "Watch out", "avoid fighting till leveling up", "defend goal zone!" And "fight together." I think with communication and coordination, winrates can skyrocket.
One time I got 3 allies with bad held items, and all them have golden ribbon on their pokemon 💀

My games consist of spamming fight together. And recently it became waiting for minute 2 for rayquaza.

The crazy thing to me is that I still frequently encounter games where I end up paired with people that have sub-50 win rates while that category of player is nowhere to be seen on the enemy team.
Sub 50% win rate isn't even indicative of skill anymore. I lose most of my games with over 100k damage. The matchmaking isn't working correctly, I have to carry to the extreme to even have a slight chance of winning.
yeah, i care about my wr and no matter what i do i struggle to keep it above 50% this season when i had no problem in the previous ones. worse part is that my teammates do questionable plays very often
@@packmaster6249 win rate is still going to reflect skill to some extent over a large sample size. There’s no way someone who has a 40% win rate is losing more often than they’re winning purely because of their teammates. Also, damage is not a good metric for measuring skill or success in a game if your macro movements are terrible.
@@JoZerpPL this has been an ongoing problem for multiple seasons. My biggest gripe is that people can not only make masters but climb it by brute forcing games. I’d rather have actual matchmaking that basically forces you to have 50% to make veteran, 55% to hit ultra, and 58-60% to hit masters. Obviously these numbers are pretty arbitrary and likely would need to be adjusted but league’s system seems to work pretty well in creating separation based on actual player skill differential.
@xcurry_ agreed on the macro movements. Decision-making is there. Objective and timing knowledge is there. Mechanics are there. Unfortunately, all 4 teammates dying under the opponents tier 2 tower right before the 2 minute mark is also there.

@@edwardrichtofen611 but to execute a well placed combo, you need to be at the location where fight is going on and if you try to walk upto there, everything will be over until your arrive and in the end you will end up with 60/70/80k damage or something which is not bad but ya know
I had a team once where a Duraludon, Cinderace, and mewtwo were trio queuing. I went slowbro to give them some frontline so they could to do big damage. Despite me soaking literally 100k damage, having all CC from enemy team go to me, and locking down key targets for easy kills (this is quite literally an attacker main’s wet dream of a game) we still lost, and I almost out damaged the Cinderace when the only offensive item I had was incense. I checked uniteAPI after the game and found them all to be at 44% winrate with their Pokémon.
Is super unfair that the game think that just because you are good player you have to carry the newer or bad players

An Overwatch coach once said something like, 40% of your matches are wins you had no control over, 40% are losses you had no control over, and the remaining 20% is where your decisions really counted. Don't get mad about the bad 40%, just vibe through them lol
Except this game screws you more often than not with matchmaking. Players just suck in this game and bring you down not to mention the BS 2 minute segment that can revive trash teams from the depths with the Ray buff and double pints.

I had a game last night where my team surrendered at around 5 minutes when we were only losing by 50 points.. like you're that furious that we might lose the match so you're going to make sure we lose by quitting? make it make sense. truly an impossible match to win
this season it happened that it involved famous players, which is why everyone talks about it, but in my case this thing has already been happening for at least a couple of seasons
It genuinely feels like Rayquaza is rigged to be easier to take down by the losing team and the losing team also survives hits more around that time too.
I think the Ray/Zap mechanic as a whole has always been awful. Id rather Ray than Zap but in conjunction with Double points and Death timers by far favoring losing teams, every game feels harder and harder to win when your ahead, especially when half my team take leftovers and take middle after someone else calls it.
Yesterday I lost, because we wiped the enemy team, except one wiggley. Raq was half dead at this point and I sadly died. What does my team do with 3 people alive? 2 run after wiggley. They nearly reach home base, that is as far a wiggly took them! while our Mewtwo tried to kill a nearly dead Raq... and I sit their in the death timer and think. "Why Am I still here."@@ben5720
You know I realized last night that respond timers are also rigged you. You can have a longer wait than your opponent at times aswell I thought that was freaking dog yo

That was hell, and it doesnt bring me joy to see that it was never truly fixed yet
Also the fact that trio queue can play with every one else is a bit dumb, sometimes games can just be impossible because your trio queue is worse than the other one.
Definitely would help to have a trio queue option at some point
Season 10 and 11 were my absolute worst seasons ever thanks to the MMR change. Before season 10, I had a 55% WR with over thousands of matches in ranked. That WR dropped to less than 51.8%, and I only started truly recovering it last season, although I'm nowhere near 55% yet (currently 52.3%, so only a 0.5 increase). And this season is testing my patience once again, cause most of my matches I'm teamed up with players with less than 50% WR.

Season 10 was hell, the only saving grace was that I managed to get into master rank before the game decided it was time to devastate me with an 11 loss streak. I don't think I ever did finish that season with a positive winrate, though I did squeeze in a 1600 rating with like 1 day left in the season lol.
This season is the next worse one for me. Terrible start with multiple dips into Veteran and I'm only just now making my way up ultra gradually. Think my winrate is still below 50 though, despite my overall 52% winrate after 2800 ranked games

Yes.. Remove trio q from solo q and duo q.. Trio q is what makes the game just garbage because 3 people picks are always questionable
Trios should just be removed altogether. They're the most difficult to fairly allocate. They're too short in numbers against stacks but hold too large a majority with solo queuers.
If they insist on keeping this stupid option around, at least restrict them to playing with other duos and trios.
Not a solo player's problem these cancer trios have to wait an eternity for a match otherwise. Maybe wait times wouldn't be so long if TiMi actually made an effort to retain active players!
I'm tired of seeing trios more often the better I do... If I wanted to play with a duo or trio, I'd just join one. Leave solos to solo.
When i get paired up w trios i just know that i'll lose. The opposite trio been on masters like 9 times while i got 1 expert and 2 ultras that never been into masters. I'm not even talking about winrates. My teammates were all negative winrate while the other team was above 50%. It's infuriating. I'm not playing the game rn
I was once playing a game as an Ultra Rank and saw a teammate playing Garchomp walking in circles and into walls and just doing incredibly questionable choices.
I go to their profile to see what rank they are and find out that it was literally their first or second battle ever.
I check the opponent and they have multiple Master ranks

Btw if you try to check the enemies or your teammates and everyone has privat trainer info, they're bots. And you always win against bots and get 20+ kills
Almost every game my duo gets the worst trio - all with under 45% wr and/ or bad items and/or terrible draft and often all three - and opponent team is all 55% and pick meta mons. It’s so frustrating. The game hates us.
Its funny how the names was blurred in the unite api reading but not at the end of the match.

Good to know Im not the only one this season lol. I find in these types of games, every once in a while the other team gets too confident and slips up at the end at Ray and we end up stealing it at the end.
I dont mind so much if my teammates arent good or we just get matched up against a way better team...I hate teammates spamming surrender, or for some reason this season I find myself in alot of games where 2 teammates just keep fighting eachother spamming check it out at one another the whole time. Or fighting over the jungle at the beginning of the game.
I've thought that teams being restricted to one legendary each could help, I know the devs have said they want legendaries to feel strong and that's fair, but facing down Mewtwo, Zacian, and Urshifu on one team can be exasperating. A cap on legendaries like they have on the two Mewtwos would make the choice of legendary on each team be more important rather than a near guaranteed win condition. It could lead to more diversity on teams and let less-often picked Pokémon have a chance to shine. It won't solve the issue with the frequency of unbalanced experience between two teams but maybe it's a start?

This season I’ve had the worst luck with my teams. I’m getting paired with vet 3 4 and 5’s as I am ultra 1. I’ve seen leftovers and exp share mewtwo way to many times, and so many players who just dive into fights push way to far and die over and over. It’s crazy.
I've played like 4 Hoopa games this season where I went unbound on Ray with 3-4 teammates up and no one portals in....gotta love it
True, meanwhile when my hoop and I go in, we have mewtwo Y farming top indeedee and never even go near ray...
No joke, my friend and I had so many bad match ups for four hours straight that I needed to take a break from how soul draining it was. All the matches started feeling the same, we get in, have teammates go in as two range attackers on the same lane, our jungler never comes to help, we end up having to face the enemy jungler. We lose our lane, because of course we do, two attackers aren't going to be defending for long. Then it's not long before the enemy rotates to where we are, while our team never comes to help, and we get KOed quickly, lose that lane. Then lose objectives, and lose Rayquaza just to add insult to injury. And it repeats like this over and over again. Even when we're doing great at our lane, we still end up in an impossible to win situation because our teammates are far away from every single team fight we have, and the enemy team ends up getting fed hard and we can't keep up with them. I don't understand why we kept getting teammates that don't help us, and why we were constantly getting opponents that work really well together. It's like matchmaking _wants_ us to lose.
Honestly I'm so glad you made this video. I had a session last night with some rough games. I'm not perfect, I still make mistakes and I'm learning, but I do feel I always do my best for the team no matter what. However some of the games last night... fighting Rayquaza when we're in the lead (weakening them for the other team to take and win the game with), never playing objective, questionable held item choices, thinking 4 Attackers is a balanced team, running in circles in goal zones doing nothing in particular, etc., it just makes me think "it can't be me, right? is it my team?!" Then there are games where I feel our team actually has solid communication/teamwork but we get absolutely wrecked. It's good to know it's not just me and there's something afoot. Similarly, I can't blame people for not being experts/playing the way they want (as long as it isn't toxic; I'll take all of the above over idling), but I'm Ultra in Ranked getting this stuff, and that's odd, right? Never thought to check other players stats but seeing the examples in this video, it definitely makes a lot more sense now. Thanks for the video!
I'm in Masters, nearly 1500, and I had a team where I went down at Ray but managed to get 4 or theirs down. They are left 4v1 against a nearly dead, but teleporting mew2Y (no secure ability at all). Like the wonderful team they were, they immediately cut down ray and won the game.
Yeah right, I wouldn't be writing this if that is what happened. They chased Mew2 for 15 seconds, let the entire other team respawn, and we lost.
I kept getting absolute garbage teams the whole session. MMR is supposed to go from left to right on your screen and I am always sitting there in the left like, great, this the squad. This is fine. Everything is fine.

Games like this are usually the reasons I lose, I see people with 1 item and its leftovers, nobody ever pays attention to communication pings, they never take good fights they just brawl forever and don't try to farm or take objectives, the matchmaking is just gross in this game
Yeeeeah. Had a game like yesterday where we lost horrendously. While I have played more than 5k games, my entire team have played no more than 50 or so. Meanwhile, I checked my opponents who all have played over 6-7k games.
My friends play in a trio, and we’ve played only 1567 games between all of us. However, instead of the game paring us up with a trio close to that level, we got a trio last night, where between the three they had 12000+ games. ARE U SERIOUS UNITE!!??
Well one of the issues is people trying to carry their friends out of Ultra hell meanwhile they don't even know how to move the camera around the map. Then after they hit Master they decide to solo and play damage Eldegoss and steal farm from the attackers and feed the enemy team. Bottom line is people don't know how to play the game and have zero macro and no awareness, the game doesn't teach them either and then we suffer and carry them and they never learn. They just know "If I spam matches enough i'll get my sticker" smh
Agreed. The average skill per player is insanely low and just gets worse as time goes on.
There are way too many loss protections that allow bad players to climb. I don't care that bad players exist, what annoys me is that 1) they can reach up to 1600s Master just because they spam matches, and 2) if you do better at the game, you match with then more often. You can't escape them since they can't drop out of Master.
In Ranked, it's very unfun to play with players clearly below your skill level but also I doubt it's fun for the enemies getting destroyed by me on cooldown when they don't have the skill or experience to stop me.
I've discovered another nasty game style. 4 Ultra playera + one obviously not experienced Pika with leftovers. The latter played horribly but...
One of the ultra guys were complaining about the Pika throughout the whole match. It was incredibly distracting, the worst game in Unite ever.
I've disabled others audio and don't think I'll decide to enable it ever again.
I had multiplayer ranked experiences described to me a certain way, and this seems like a good place to share it.
You will automatically win 40% of your games because your team is just better. You will automatically lose 40% of your games because your team is worse. The last 20% of the games you play are decided by the way you play. If you play poorly, you lose. If you play well, you win.
The point of this is to hopefully alleviate the stress of losing and ranked anxiety. So much of a game is decided outside of your control, so the best thing you can do is focus on what *you* can do better. Once you finally achieve that is when you'll notice actual results. If you focus on the bad teammates or you lose too much, you quickly get burned out. As you point out in this video, some games are just simply unwinnable. Don't beat yourself up about terrible teammates or having new players on your team, just focus on yourself and do what you can. Even if you know you're going to lose, always try to learn something about your own play.
Well, could they be so good and tell me, when I'm in one of the 40% autolose games? Because I can go afk and save me some headache.
@@edwardrichtofen611 Nope, you're not allowed to AFK. As I said above, even if you're know you're going to lose you can still use the game as a learning experience for yourself. You're too focused on the game being lost that you don't bother trying to get better.

Can you train shots with Deci? Yes
Can you play with the fell stinger of Intelleon?`yes
Can you try to do something with a melee? No, because you get gangup and deleted.
These twos , trios, mewtwos, 200-300matches played players are making this game unplayable, in one game i tried curse slowbro (its broken ) , did double 100k dmg delt and recieved, still lost

I don’t know why people don’t want role queue in this game, like Overwatch 2. So the team will always be balanced
They gotta stop adding legendaries to the game, if they wanted to celebrate the anniversary of the game by adding something sick add a new map or game mode, instead of broken ass legendaries that are killing the game smh

While the MMR is bad this season. I do agree that it has been a season of discovery for me. The fact I couldn't win my way through Ultra with Zoroark due to poor team coordination (teammates not Uniting or Uniting but at the worse places) forced my hands into learning how to play Defender.
And Blaziken's release further encouraged me to dip the speedster role for some battles since a player who picks Blaziken will find more use in Central, if they can play well.
This change has raised my win rate from 54-ish to nearly 60, if I can master Umbreon, I'll be able to raise the odds of winning even further!

In what world do you even have a chance to win with defenders except maybe Lapras? Anything that can't solo carry usually loses 9 out of 10 times.
Even playing release Umbreon, I can 1v5 and take 2-3 with me but then the remaining opponents just clear the rest 0 difficulty...

I just had something like this the other day. Urshifu with no held items, Buzzwole with special attack items, eldegoss with leftovers and rocky helmet, and an espeon with correct items. The espeon and buzzwole fought over mid and the enemy comp was similar to yours. Weird enough, my team had all 60%+ win rate and the entire lobby was around the same level.
What was their ranked WR though
Pokemon Unite has to have the worst ranking experience.
You make your homework, research, watch pro players, practice a lot with standard matches, and there you go trying to play just 1 ranked, playing decently well, just to loose against a bananas team which decided to be 4vs1 you all match long…
All of this while your partners are: A greninja and a glaceon, both line, loosing and feeding the enemy Mewtwo Y.
A Gengar, king of the jungle, because he is nowhere to be seen, and only apears to 1v1 objectives before dying and giving them away for free to the oposing team.
And our favorite, the amazing Warturtle lvl 5 at minute 4 which pings you for not cooperating when he was 1v3 fighting a full heal team under their goal, who decided to spam surrender and went afk after that.
Funny story? Watch them get a score of 70s at the end of the match while you stay at the bottom with a 45. You might get lucky and be penalized for constantly dying. After all, its your fault, you decided to play ranked even when your last 10 matches were basically the SAME.
I had a match where every one of my teammates had a sub 47% win rate. While the enemy team were all high 50s, low 60s. My rating was 80% because I've only played eight games. Ultra 3 if it that mattered.
I feel like spragels and Chrisheroes are the only RUclipsrs in the unite community who actually help us out in unite.

Reminds me of yesterday where we were hard losing (team was Buzzwole, Dragonite, Lane Cinderace, Absol, and (Me) Trevenant).

Somehow-I managed to secure rayquaza and horn leech towards the goal (to prevent being stunned by m2y) and score before he breaks my shield

Lately I've been having a lot of solo que Mewtwo X-Y on my team with Exp Shares, Leftovers, and Assault Vest...big reason why I wait for my buddy's to log on to do Ranked.
I’d say the one game which perfectly showcases how some games are just impossible would be when I played gengar and my teammates just weren’t good at all. I managed to get most of the objectives and even stole Zapdos by a pixel of health but dying in the process. Keep in mind we were winning for most of the game given our point lead but instead of my teammates going to score with the zapdos buff, they instead just avoid the goals all together and stay in enemy jungle, allowing the enemy team to score at our goals while I was forced to watch given I was dead for 45 seconds, leading to us losing by 35 points. Never in my life have I wanted to strangle my teammates and cuss them out for literally selling the game despite me doing my best to carry them.
1) Nerf Mewtwo Y.
2) Introduce a draft system with bans in ranked mode.
3) STOP putting solo queue players with duos/trios.
That's all.
Im on an 11 game lose streak, seriously considering just uninstalling, the things this game make my mental go through, the best win streak i got this season is 2 followed by a 4-5 game lose streak, really really frustrated with unite lately
Well, I also had an impossible game today. My team decided to go all attackers, so I decided to go with blastois. I was alone in top lane at the start defending 3 Pokemon and at the bottom lane 2 pokeomes wiped out my entire team (lol).My team wasn't coming for any objective and feeding the enemies . In the end the enemy got raquaza but the enemy couldn't score much because 3 of their players were dead . I decided to score and waited for a perfect moment for 1min and finally when I was just a second away from scoring a 100 and wining the game, DECIDUEYE (one of my teammates) came and scored a 10 and destroyed the goal zone . We lost the match by 60 points.
I know it's gonna be a hard match when enemy Mewtwo is the first one at the left spot and ally Mewtwo is in one of the last two spots at the right in pre-match screen. Also when the ally in the right side insta-pick jungle. When there is a duo/trio/double duo on my team I know by default is gonna be worse than the enemy duo/trio.
Wait do player position in the load screen say anything? Always thought it was random, specially when u look up their master throphies

As someone with 1000 battles and a 74% winrate, the beginning of this season has been brutal. The craziest thing that I've noticed though is even though I struggle a bit more, Im not getting hit NEARLY as hard as one of my friends I play with, who is several hundred games ahead of me, but with ~a 63% Winrate.
To me, it seems like games are directly punishing VETERAN players specifically, since they have more games.
More specifically, I think the game doesn't compare organized teams to each other, resulting in them balancing the teams with themselves and not accounting for opponents.
"These 3 high ranks players queuing? Give em 2 lower ranked players."
"These 3 lower rank players queuing? Give em 2 higher rank players!"
That type of thing.
I have over 2100 battles. with a 67% win rate. but out of all my games I get MVP 89% of the time. so many bad players its staggering and the matchmaking bullshit is just horrid and makes you just want to quit game.
I used to have a 76 percent win rate. Then I tried solo que ranked
Bro i just lost a game we were dominating until the final Ray fight. We lost the teamfight cuz our support really wanted to farm their jungle and backcap. Icl, that was beyond tilting
I stopped playing last season once i got to 1600 the game has always had terrible players but running into mewtwos its just unplayable

I was in the game recently where the opponents coordination was absurd, nothing more annoying when you’re literally about to win a 2 on 1 and then the third Dragonite solo unites you. Honestly not even sure the fun in going so hard this early season lol
Every time I win a match my rank never goes up it always goes down every time there's a new season it counts how many times I would have ranked up for winning and it gives me the rewards but I never get to achieve master. I was one rank up away when this started happening to me over a year ago
The biggest lesson I've learned from all these unfairly matched games is the time spent thinking about ways to **** people, including myself.
Felt that, i legit got a whole team if 40% win rates and my opponents where full of 50-60% wins rates 😭
I wish I could say "some" of my games are just impossible. A good portion of my losses are very BAD losses, I wouldnt mind a loss if my team tried. 3-4 people never showing to objectives, always back capping, pushing T2 goals around 2:15, the list goes on and on. Pokemon Unite is almost an impossible game unless youre playing trios.

I was one match away from masters after winning 5 matches in a row and in that game both teams had less experienced players except for me and a Zacian on the other team. I played as Blissey and my team and I got destroyed. I just got into masters though after a lot of losses and wins.
I used to grind leaderboard on Cod... I never imagined that I'd be raging harder playing a kids game casually lol
Pokemon Unite needs to improve their player count. Having more players would help, a lot, with match making.
its horseshit. there are enough players to group good players with other good players, the game's matchmaking goes out of its way to pair you with people who are not good players as a way to keep you from getting a high win rate and to promote the sales for any new OP characters currently in the shop. you see if they paired bad players with only other bad players and good players with other good players then the bad players would eventually stop playing because they would never win and the good players would get bored always winning and not spend any money on the game because they wouldn't need the OP pokemon to win.

Im going to be honest, since i found out your channel i actually disagreed with a lot of takes or just general things you said, but in this video i agree 1000% with every word, congratulations, i never thought it possible for you to make this kind of approach toward something that shouldnt happen as often as it does in-game but here we are, major yeehaaw to you, i hope you can keep these insights coming, because without awareness, nothing will change and serious/veteran players are losing matches unfairly because there is no way to dodge or avoid these kind of matches...
funnily enough my latest ranked match team had top path Mewtwo X and dodrio(went in enemy jungle to steal everything) bottom path char and me(hoopa) and our beloved jungler greedent which surpisingly no one contested him taking jungle and we still ended up beating the enemy team's M2Y, blaziken, umbreon, blissey(not hh tho) and inteleon so although our team comp was a little bit shakey it wad one of the few random moments that I enjoyed similar to those full attackers, defenders comp I got in solo which for most of the time were willingly done as a joke
I hope you don’t mind me saying my frustration in this, I was also paired with a trio and yet all three have been as useless to the team, the only thing they did is grind and thats it, literally one of my teammates used their mic just to tell them to do something
Moving to uni tomorrow and out of my parents' house, so i can't take the family switch so I'm grinding to rank up before tomorrow. No sleep till Masters!

Just a momment ago, i paired with idk bot maybe cause they dont want to def the goal, and dont event want to start the obj.. and the best part is i already secure the ray with pikachu but none of my team try to make a score nor def😢...aghh this game can be so frustrating sometimes (most of the time)

This is a problem because most players are getting put in these games for multiple games in a row and it's so frustrating
I main speedster, I can carry the team most of the time with a huge gap between both team until the ray. And then my team just start fighting munch of useless fights and losses.

Cinderace not going into jungle ? I am surprise Jake is getting surprise, most of my cinderace mate never go into jungle.
The worst part of impossible game: Teamate not gathering up for rayquaza fight, or going in 3v5 on last objective fight at 02:30 and getting deteleted at 02:15.
