  • Tess Babauta was sentenced to 41 months in prison on Tuesday after pleading guilty to Robbery 1st Degree. She robbed the Metro PCS store in Bonney Lake in December of 2021. Babauta was not a fan of The Spotlight's coverage. Detectives say she was recorded on a jail call asking a friend to play the story for her, saying: "I just want to hear what David Rose is saying about me because he is a f****** punk a** dumb a** b*****."

She wasn't thinking about her kids when she was getting high. She wasn't thinking about her kids when she robbed that store.

If she does get out of prison in 41 months? I will guarantee you she'll get back to being high after she gets out. And what's going to be so funny about this whole thing is that she'll just get a burner phone and basically do the same crap as she did before she went to jail.

At least a judge gave some kind of sentence. 41 months doesn't seem like enough when you see her boldly pointing a gun at the victim. As the prosecutor stated, that was a victim in this robbery, and it wasn't Little-Miss-I'm-Sorry-Drugs-Made-Me-Do-It. Start locking up all felons: build more prisons.

    • @NorthwestAdventurerNWA

She didn’t point the firearm at the lady behind the counter. That may be a reason of why she received such a light sentence.

Because she knows what she did wrong but the bottom line is though she'll just get away with it and nothing will get done. And besides that, she'll just get a burner phone and do the same when will this stuff ever end?

Redemption will never come out of the American prison system. All prisons do in America is tear people down and chuck them back out of the streets worse off then they were before. People need help and education not to be locked up and forced to work for free then released back into a world that looks down on them for being in prison.
