I gotta tell you man, my wife is Filipina and she is honest to a T with Integrity. I'm glad you've got a big heart and seen the issue and knew that it wasn't the cousins fault. I know people can wear that on their shoulders big time.
Do you treat the bamboo with solignum for termites? I just used bamboo strips for the siding on a little shed, then used a weed sprayer to apply 50% diesel and 50% solignum. I’m really hoping this deterrent to them, because the rest of the building is coconut lumber. I’m really new to the Philippines so I’m pretty sure everything I did was wrong, just hoping it works out. Really like your beach house, so cool especially the bamboo inside. Thanks James and Mel
Thank you for pointing out that dishonesty is not a trait exclusive of Filipinos, but of humans in EVERY country. I have seen more educated and wealthy people be dishonest than I have poorer people. Thank you for being real my friend.....
Love the seahorse. The dark blue tiles you used on the cabin sink would look awesome on it. Whatever you use will be a beautiful piece of art. Keep up the great work on your home. Tell Melissa she's good at flowers and landscaping. You guys are lucky to have each other. Can't wait to see more of your videos. Love your videos here in Iowa.
You bet things like that happen in the US. Because people don't educate themselves about what kind of materials and services, they should be getting. That being the case it's just too tempting for construction companies to skimp on materials or cut corners, so they end up with more profit. They get away with it so they keep doing it. Most people don't know anything about what was supposed to be done, so they don't find out until it's too late and some kind of disaster happens to the thing they had constructed.
Did you draw that, sir? My suggestion make the sea horse standout darker color, d rest lighter color. I'm an Artist, I can draw for you sometime, just telling you😃
These videos are always one week or more delayed. What you see now is already history. I did chuckle at your suggestion because YOU ARE SPOT ON!!!!! I made the seahorse dark shades using my dark brown shades to medium brown shades and highlighting in tans and burnt orange colors. FIST BUMP !!!! You had the same thoughts!!!!
I might need to utilize some of your decorations skills possibly on our new room at the fish pond. I think it’s gonna be pretty generic as is and I’d love to make it look pretty because eventually we’re gonna make it an Airbnb room once we build our main house.
Cool ideal on the Sea Horse Mosaic bro . Man i know ive commented on this before your a lucky man James Ray. Melinda is such a beatiful lady Po . I just love the complextion of her skin her shade of skin is just beautiful to me and her hair is as well good for you my friend you chose well james my compliments to you my friend & Mel as well . She is every thing i think of when thinking of a top shelf or first class Filliphina james take care my brother from Texas i should be so lucky . GOD BLESS YALL .
We never had a power outage I just conserved our battery power so our guest could never have interruption in aircon , wifi and tv. I have a diesel gen here and never use it. Solar and batteries carry us through every time.
Why is it subscribers don’t use the time stamp 😂on what they are commenting on ? Makes way more sense of what you’re saying 😅 It’s located in the comment box to the far right 😅just touch it 😅 2:33
I was thing that if all that your doing for your gest and Company so overwhelming for you and your wife bet you will not be able to enjoy that she may not be able to enjoy your daily life bear in the Philippines but it's up to you
LMAO - I will try crack house art next time. I think I will do one him him sitting in the tub smoking meth! Honestly it is so sad for anybody to lose their soul to those drugs. It shows nobody class of people is immune from it.
That’s some hard work digging holes or footers even in sand. This isn’t a Filipino thing it’s a vendor thing. In the states we always go check the source before receiving. Unless they are approved vendors already. This is why. You’re right it happens stateside to. You on the other hand tell Mel to not hire family but you don’t take your own advice. Whenever you buy something you check the source. You have done it so many times. That’s why you went to the hardware place to see the products, then buy them. Mel’s cousin and even you are not totally innocent. I think deep down you know it. For whatever reason you picked him and he picked them. Just my view. Is that a template or you free handed it? That’s some tedious work. Some Filipinos are very talented artists. You could contact them to do a mural by the pool!
I work all family here. We hire companies from day one thru family members. The difference between Melinda and I is a know how to draw of a line and she doesn't. I stay their boss not their buddy. I don't drink with them and many other scenarios. Mel on the other hand is gossip, cooking , nails, clothes and watching movies while they are supposed to be working. She does not have the years and years experience I have. She does not want to hurt their feelings and them think she is too good etc. If SHE hires a stranger and keeps a line drawn this is not a issue as it is with her family and peers.
That Mosaic is going to POP !!
Great update! Really cool mosaic! You're a man of many talents, but i didn't know you could draw too! 👍

HOLY COW, I can’t believe you drew the sea horse mosaic by hand. I’m shocked by your talent……I’m serious.
That sea horse art looks like it will be very cool
Didn't know that you are an artist too on top of your many other talents. I think it's a cool seahorse design. God bless and stay safe.

That is an awesome drawing beautiful place at the beach
That seahorse is incredible! Can’t wait to see the tile bits as they go in. If you have a camera mount you could do an amazing time-lapse of it.

Wow such a nice compliment from u sir..thank u much,my ears getting bigger😝😁
Super creative!
That's a sea horse drawing
Nice video
Just out of curiosity do they have motorized post hole diggers that drill the holes? If so wouldn't be fast and easier?
I have visions of the movie "Bridge over the river Kwai" and your workers whistling the tune while working.
A Cummings diesel generator would come in handy in and power outage.

Mr. James... Melinda Driving?
what is your guess of time to finish this?........
Whenever it happens it happens is all I can say. I want to savor the moments not rush through them.
@@TexasFilipino absolutely.! Perhaps a Dolphin tile feature on the bottom of the new pool. My friends had one in their pool, in Tenerife
The old test was to put some sand in your palm, spit on it and rub it together. Anything that dissolves aint sand.
👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏

We very much are enjoying. Things are smoothing out and getting easy for her.
i like your art , much more than Hunter Bidens - lol -- great work my friend - love hugs for you and yours

I bet it's a Seahorse 😊❤
James why do other people answer comments for you?
What are you talking about?
I love the idea of the mosaic. Great design for sure. Where do you plan to place it?
Right there on the wall where I drew it
@@TexasFilipino Ah, okay! I was thinking it was for your resort where people could enjoy it.
That is a guest room patio right there

Well regardless of your justification in this case it didn’t work out so well. Not the end of the world just how I seen it.
