  • I show how to make a propane fire pit using easy to find parts from an old BBQ and the hardware store.
Working with propane can be very dangerous and can cause serious injury and even death... use the information in this video at your own risk, and be safe!

Thanks. Good ideas and info. We have a fire ban here and so I want to build something for inside a permanent round brick fire pit at our summer place. And have some parts Including a large cast "element" from a BBQ we retired this spring. Your video is a big help. Thanks.

I hope he confirmed the tubing is propane safe. Probably good on pressure but propane, like most fuels eat the average tubing over time. Other than that great job

Cool video good idea except for I wouldn't have my kids around that propane fire pit with that kind of tubing used that's not gas line you have to use low pressure or high pressure propane line you can't just use some rubber hose I work in the propane industry you should change that hose

how quickly will your pit drain a propane tank?

Not sure. Just FYI, we had a 20# LP tank on our last campout which lasted 3 nights... we used the LP tank for cooking on our large camp stove for breakfast and dinner for 12 people, and then hooked it up to the fire pit for marshmallows and chit chat each night. We came home with a 1/2 full tank. Not too bad.
