      He said thick black smoke. Looking at the area i think its safe to assume that could only really mean a fire around there.

      where theres smoke there is fire. if its THICK BLACK. then its a big fire. plus the strategy is to have more then needed then to be sorry you dont have enough

      Better to have lots of equipment then show up it's a huge house or warehouse on fire and have only one fire truck.

      @@amazonbox5551 first part of your comment isn’t true if there’s smoke there isn’t always fire my station gets calls about smoke in a building and about 99% of the time it’s a BS call and we hold with 2 and 1 2 engines and truck company sometimes with 1 engine and 1 truck depending on who’s all there at the time

      Pretty sure they are all tankers. I believe this community does not have a typical hydrant system like found in regular cities. The CFB Trenton ARFF truck is random tho

      @@djgraph404 they do have several tankers. Most of brighton is rural, especially up where this is at north hall. The trenton truck is probably around for training as south hall is close enough to be likely to mutual aid the base.

      Mutual Aid is a term used in the Fire Service where neighbouring departments will provide aid for each other for major events such as fires.

      They discuss run cards usually or what trucks they want our the door when the have mutual aid runs. So that's what it's about

      In the fire service, it is better to send more units than needed, than to send less units than needed, especially if things are shrouded in mystery.

      @@WyattPetersen There were only two of the 6 that were older chassis, the Ford and the Navistar (#2 & #5), and they looked to be in excellent condition, and probably had newer or refurbished fire equipment mounted on them. FIRE TRUCKS are expensive, so if it still works great when it's 20+ years old, you dont trade it in. You hang on to it as a 2nd line unit

      I know a 1996 Volvo fire truck with the cat engine that can hit 70 mph easy so that’s a lie
