It's crazy how they haven't brought it into Fifth or Sixth Gen, It's ability to not only call but buff other Monsters seems perfect in maps that always have 3 Large Monster minimum.
It would be so cool if they brought Quru back in Wilds. Like, it could call for reinforcements and have an entire herd of Balahara or something suddenly show up
I hope (if it were to come back) it gets a turf war with one of the monsters it can call and make it like an apex monster or something so I can see it realize just how poor of a decision calling that one specific monster was
Qurupeco, the one-bird show of MH. It can dance, it can sing, it can fight, it can can fly too! It's greatest hits are: "Big Bad Devil Joe", "Hungry like the Zinogre", Fly like a 'Cuga", "Lagiacrus Rock", and "Stairway to Heaven's Mount".
Qurupeco is a monster that just oozes personality, isn't it? It's a worthy successor to Yian Kut-Ku and it's a crime it hasn't returned. Give it a rare species Capcom!!
@@AngelPerez-tu1nk ok here's another idea this rare species qurupeco secretes a substance or pheremone that allows it to trick other monsters into believing it's one of their kind like certain spiders do with ant colonies
Hmm, the next MH:Ecology episode is reminding me of a question I've had for awhile, namely how canon are the optional assignments and the like meant to be? I know that in-canon hunters generally hunt far less monsters than are depicted in the games as that's mostly for gameplay purposes (since for example there's no good reason you couldn't fashion an entire armor set from one large monster most of the time). Specifically I was reminded that one of the optional assignments in MH3U is to capture a Royal Ludroth because it's flavor text is "Anyone who's anyone in high society has a pet Royal Ludroth. They're so orange! So Squishy! I absolutely must have one! Do TRY not to hurt it badly, you brute. I suppose a few minor scrapes are acceptable..." and I don't know if that's meant to be canon or not, but the idea of royal families having "tame" examples of some monsters in menageries or the like (IIRC it's said somewhere that some royal/noble families use the Royal Ludroth in their heraldry, and sometimes IRL royal families would have tame examples of real world animals that were their heraldic beasts)
I would like if the games had find a way of align gameplay and lore more accurately somehow. The whole thing about being at the same time a supposed holy keeper of balance in nature or whatever and a fucking murder hobo of cataclysm proportions, killing more wild life that a oil tanker sinking, take me out so much of this games 😑
i love that qurupeco have their own defined progression tree also WHY DID I GIGGLE SO HARD AND SCREAM YESS AT A ROYAL LUDROTH VIDEO (HE'S MY FAVORITE BUT STILL)
Maybe in future videos, you could get Japanese speakers well-versed in MH like Gaijin Hunter to help you with some of the research, particularly when it comes to their names in the original Japanese given the fancy titles and contexts behind said names/titles.

Imagine it summons valstrax or bazel and you hear in the distance
LETS @#$&+!? GOOOOOOOO
I wanna see it get mauled in a turf war by the monster it calls
I wanna see it get mauled in a turf war by the monster it calls
