Thanks for taking the time to try it out and demo it. Great to hear the sounds you've been making with it and we look forward to hearing what others will create with it!

I just wanted to say thanks for making the Cali67 Compact Bass pedal! By far the best compressor I've ever used in a pedal format and I sing its praises as much as I can!

Im just starting to build a bass board after 6 years of building a guitar board. I purchased the Cali76 Compact Bass and that pedal is PHENOMENAL! Sounds incredible, the build quality is second to none, and the design of the trade dress is sleek, elegant, and beautiful. Just a wonderful creation all around. Im definitely going to get a BassRig next for my bass board build. Going to start with the Super Vintage, but i really want both. Lol. Thanks for doing what u do.

I prefer the Fender. ( no comparison - for me ). Ampeg always has a pronounced: high-mid-range to me. I like a more round bass sound. Nice Demo guys. Enjoyed it.

I already did one gig with no amp and I am getting more and more interested in this option. These pedals seem like very practical tools for no-amp gig.

Great video! Please make another one doing exact that comparisson that you mention at the end. Mike the cabinets and compare the real SVTs with de Super Vintage using the poweramp of the Bergantino or maybe a Aguilar Tone Hammer Amp. Just an idea. Thank you

Don't worry, I'm completely the same. I play an SVT VR and still I'm considering this pedal. Simply, because I can't push the VR into break up territory without being pulverized by it.

another epic content as always. I am currently using a black edition DCX Bass in EQ mode as a tone shaper with my Darkglass Alpha Omega Photon. Now, I'm just waiting for my OE Bass Rig 64 Black to arrive to add to my minimalist fly rig. I plan to place the Bass Rig at the end of the chain (EBMM Stingray 4 > DCX Bass > DG Alpha Omega Photon > 64 Black). I intend to use the DCX Bass as a boost or for my clean tone, and have my Darkglass drive the Bass Rig. Considering that they are all preamps, would it be too much to have three preamps on one board? If you can please create a content stacking pre amps like origin with darkglass would be killer.

In most recording and live situations, a low cut is more useful than a low boost. Since they could only fit two 3-position switches in the main EQ section, I can see why Origin may have opted for low cut over the Ultra Low.

I’ve never used a preamp/di pedal, does it need to be at the end of thesignal chain to work with other effects when the di is plugged? Or do the effects still affect the di signal even if theyre placed after in the signal chain?

Hi BassTheWorld, these Origin Bassrigs caught my attention. I often plug directly in the PA and looking for some help with presence. My style is mostly jazzy, fretless hail Jaco, and sometimes with acoustic bass guitars. With which one of the two bassrigs will I get happier you think?

    So... usecase?
If anyone can at least explain to me one scnario where that DI CAB SIM switch would be of any help at all give me a heads up.
This would always want to be on the FX+Bypass setting. Why would I want to turn off my overdrive and have my cab just die? Why is noone talking about this?
Why would I need any of these features anyway.
Is this assuming I do not have an actual amp? Why would I want to have an amp output on there? Theres literally no standalone Bass poweramps on the market.
Is this assuming I skip the preamp section of my amp completely because the 3 dial pedal EQ sounds so much better? As if.
Is this assuming I just run this into the PA directly? Why wouldnt i just get an actual preamp with more than 3 knobs and one input then?
This is basically an overengineered drive pedal for double or quadruple the price one of these should cost.

    • @HondoFelder
      @HondoFelder 2 года назад +3

Some people may very well want to only have the cab sim on with the drive sound because DI drive sounds are often not great. Also, you could have a super modern amp like a Darkglass or GK, but need an old school sound for certain situations. It would be ideal to run it into the fx return of those amps to get the sounds you're looking for. Its really not a matter of what sounds "better" so much as it is having a particular sound and eq behavior. If it's not for you, it's all good, but that doesn't mean it wont work for others 🤙🏽. Now, that said, it is very expensive lol 🤣.
