"That is one of the best movies I've ever seen." You guys totally get this movie. One of the best reactions I've seen. This is among the contenders for my favorite film of all time, and I enjoy seeing lots of different people's reactions to it. You both got it: all the humorous bits, the deeper bits, the romance and subtlety, the nobility and meaning of it all. Not once did I hear you complain about a white guy becoming a samurai and saving the Japanese people. You actually stated the premise, that "Katsumoto was the last samurai." You even teared up at the right parts. Also, props for mentioning Taka's character performance, and the score, as well. She is one of the most beautiful women I've ever seen in a movie, and it is mostly down to her elegance and feminine force, and not only her physical form. The score is perfect, obviously. This is a film anyone who appreciates well-crafted cinema can enjoy. But, at a deeper level, this also happens to be a movie that resonates with men, in particular: duty, beauty, morality and peace. Nicely done, blokes!

That's the best reaction to this movie I've seen, guys. Thank you! It was like watching a movie with friends. Feeling, thinking, empathizing. With very deep feelings. This is my favorite movie: the music, this Japanese village, the tradition, the scenery, the complicated story with Taka and the children, the respect, the Tom’s acting. I didn’t expect to love this movie as much as I did either. I had no idea what I was going into when my brother recommended it. At the time I was usually a romantic comedy girl but my bro wanted to expand my horizons so I watched The Last Samurai and it is one of the best movies I’ve ever seen. Everything about it works for me. The perfect score, the breathtaking cinematography, the script - so many memorable amazing lines, the acting by all the cast. Every character just felt fully realised & understood. They each have their own moments even the kids. Just a beautiful film. Great reaction guys.
I absolutely refused to watch The Last Samurai Starting Tom Cruise when it was first advertised. A year or two later i saw a history channel program about it back when they still had history programs. The elderly Japanese were all crying when they first saw the village. It reminded them of their childhoods. And it turned out to have a lot of accuracy. It was a pleasure watching this with you too. It effected me the same way the first time i saw it and every time i saw it since. Much respect.
This is my FAVORITE movie. I’ve seen it a few times every year since it came out. I love traditional Japanese culture, so much so I’ve backpacked across Japan to learn traditional art forms. This film highlights how beautiful and poetic Japanese culture is at its core. Your guys reaction was the first time I felt like there was an appreciation for all the details and moments that feel so specific to the values of the culture. I’ve practiced kendo, and use to do Kabuki and Taiko performances and this movie showcases so much of the energy you feel when in the practice. I just love it.
It was so easy to be immersed quickly, with this one. An astonishing film, phenomenal acting and beautiful themes of forgiveness of self and others. And the beauty in not only the answer but the teaching of the lesson itself. Thank you for watching this one with us!
Okay, I'm 17 minutes in. Already I fucking LOVE you guys. You're absorbing everything I would hope from a reactor watching this film. I'm getting the popcorn 🍿
I've seen this movie a few times, but damn guys....it was a pleasure to watch again through your eyes! You hang your hearts out for us! After this channel blows the f up, can't wait to be able to say i remember when, and I was here to see it all! ❤
I’m so glad you are here along for the ride with us! Thank you for watching with us, and seriously thank you for the support. This one had me crying lol we truly loved it!
Gentlemen. I just found your channel. And what a film to see you react to, The iconic The Last Samurai one of the best movies to be made in the last 20 years. Loved your reaction, I have watched this movie numerous times and I still gives me goosebumps every time. New subscriber, looking forward to seeing more of your reactions
I saw this on the big screen when it was released. I was so impressed by the Hans Zimmer score that I bought the (then) CD and always played it on my long commute. Remember..... Tom Cruise does his own stunts..... also impressive.
I've watched dozens of reactions of this movie, but I appreciate your attention to small details that many people miss. The honest awe you guys give to the world and the music of Zimmer, I love it. You guys have earned my like. ^_^ Keep up the good work.
Your guy’s reaction at the end is exactly how my buddies and me felt when we left the theater back when this came out. There was just so much to say, but we couldn’t quite find the words because we were so emotional. I went back two more times to see it at the theater. I’m still blown away by this movie.
An interviewer tried to 'cancel' this movie and get Ken Watanabe to bash Tom as a "white savior" stereotype in the film because "a white man was the last samurai".....Ken schooled them saying he never thought of it like that - no one on the film ever claimed Algren was the last samurai. It was always Katsumoto. The one that was saved is Algren. Anyone that didn't get that while simultaneously trying to call the film racist for "virtue points" ARE the racists. Also saw the comment that Last Samurai is not necessarily singular vs plural invoking the entire clan &/or the way of life itself.
You guys I watch a lot of reaction content and let me just say I wish every reaction was as heartfelt and genuine as this one, keep it up you guys looking forward to more
This is one of my all time favorite movies. It was so well crafted in every aspect. And if the pure poetry of the dialogue and exquisite scenery and cinematography weren't enough to move you to tears, the score will make damned sure you get there. Another Zimmer masterpiece. I found your channel because of this reaction. I can't not watch a reaction to this movie. I really loved that you guys felt everything this movie was trying to make you feel, and that it seems to have won a place in your hearts, as it has mine. Another favorite of mine you might consider adding to your list: The 13th Warrior. (Antonio Banderas as an arab, Omar Sharif, vikings, myths, quests, and close-quarters combat with swords - what's not to like?) It's not on the same level of The Last Samurai, but few things are. I'll definitely be making my way through the rest of your reaction videos after seeing this one. Well done, gents. Well done.
Meadmaker…….its like we are best friends…let me just say…I make mead…and I’m not joking when I say this…..The 13th warrior is my favorite movie of all time…. You are blowing my mind currently, Lo there do I see my brother.. -Will
@@ReelReviewHQ - Ah, a brother in mead!! Well met!! My last brew was a cherry and blueberry melomel with wildflower honey straight from the local apiary. It, uh...didn't last long. I honestly get chills every time I hear that "Lo, there do I see my brother" prayer. Especially at the end, in the rain and the mud, when the poisoned king rises one last time to join his brothers, the Arab now one of them, to throw down his foe and take his place in the halls of Valhalla..."where the brave may live forever." Freaking LOVE that movie!! I have to sub for such a kindred spirit!! Let's step back a little further...have you ever seen the movie: Dragonslayer (1981)? Another one of my favorites. Kind of in the same class with Krull, Time Bandits, The Last Starfighter, etc., but Dragonslayer was the first use of ILM outside of Lucasfilm, so the effects are actually pretty cool. Currently watching your reaction to The Crow...another epic movie!!
i so much appreciate your guys take on this one. the parts of the movie you focus on are, i feel, the important ones, and things that most other reviewers either 1) fail to recognize because they’re too focused on the cinematography aspects, or 2) too in-depth to give more than their cursory overview. yall, on the other hand, comment on all the things that make me cry watching this movie. keep up the excellent work
Love your reaction you guys are great! This movie gets a lot of shallow judgment from people that have never seen it but it’s a beautiful film in all aspects and my personal favorite.
The last narration seems to be overlooked in many reaction videos. "...small measure of peace that all men seek, but only a few of us ever find" is very deep to me. It's hard for me to articulate how i feel about it but it sent me chills when he said it.
This masterpiece is my absolute favorite movie ever. It is not a war movie but a movie about Japanese culture, about respect, honor, loyalty. The cast, the soundtrack, the production TOP CLASS!! 🎬🏯
This movie is so underrated. My favorite movie since my childhood and it was a pleasure to watch your reaction that captured every essence of the movie. Thank you
Ken Watanabe and Tom Cruise both nailed their roles as Katsumoto and Algren in this movie, no doubt about it. And how can we not forget the unforgettable performances of Hiroyuki Sanada as Ujio, Koyuki as Taka, Timothy Spall as Simon Graham, Billy Connelly as Zebulon Gant, Tony Goldwyn as Colonel Bagley, Shin Koyamada as Nobutada, Masato Harada as General Omura and Nakamura Shichinosuke II as Emperor Meiji?! The music score by Hans Zimmer was so beautifully melancholy, the cue where the samurai were all gunned down and Katsumoto’s last words ripped my up my heart in half. That moment felt like Doctor Who in my opinion
I've seen this so so so many times and I cry through the entire last third of the movie every time. Once Nobutada falls it's just nonstop tears... and just when I think I'm done crying they hit me with: "Tell me how he died." "I will tell you how he lived." And then I'm sobbing all over again. This movie is a masterpiece. And yes one of the most beautiful scores ever made.
If you enjoyed this movie, you'll definitely love the miniseries Shogun, which involves a similar premise, though it is set at the end of the Sengoku era rather than the beginning of the Meiji era.
I just found your channel. This movie is just.. Perfection. No many how many times I see it, it is.. Beautiful. Nice reaction! Slapped me a sub button!
James Horner composer Edward Zwick Director. Those two were a pair unrivaled in the art of film making. Last Samurai Glory Legends of the Fall The storytelling and emotion are unmatched
The beauty of the scene with the Boken is that the Japanese captain tells him to throw the katana to the ground, and he never obeys. In the end, the only option the Japanese captain has is to take the katana from his hand. That is exactly what he does. At no point does he surrender, and he never drops his katana, even though he is taking a beating.
26:30 its not about wanting to prove anything. its simply a bold refusal of reality in the face of defeat. I have not suffered defeat, because you have not crushed my will to fight. no matter how broken and battered, no matter how bloody and wounded, I will keep coming at you with all the fury and fire I can muster. I fight, because it is what I do, and I continue to from the moment I open my eyes, until the moment my enemy closes them for the last time. Also, 36:20 Of course he has to hit you that hard. Pain is a great teacher, and the more blood you shed on the training field, the less you shed on the battlefield!
At the 11:25 mark, yall are talking about portryals of PTSD in this era. I’d recommend you look into the 2018 Film ‘Hostiles’ with Christian Bale and Wes Studi, it’s criminally overlooked because nobody heard about it when it came out which is a shame because it’s phenomenal and has some of the best acting I’ve seen in a star studded cast.
History fact: Real man that Katsumoto was made from was Takamori Saigó. He really led rebellion but his motives was less romantic then in the movie. He followed samurai values as he was samurai but when Japan start to modernize he even had high position in new goverment. There he aknowledged that samurais from other clans have higher positions and main problem he had was with restructuralization of army. To that time only samurai (nobility) can be member of the army. After modernizations everybody was viable as soldier and due to the fact samurais massively lost their job, money, status and position in country. Another reason was that new goverment didnt want to attack Korea and Saigo want it because Korea didnt aknowledged their Emperor as supreme leader. It wasnt fight about saving tradition and old ways of life but normal political, influence and economical conflict. Samurais in this conflict also normally used guns a Saigo (and his soldiers) have modern uniforms and not armors. Less romantic and less sympathetic 🙂
Hans Zimmer really was godlike with this soundtrack. I think I read somewhere he spent a good amount of time studying Japanese music, maybe film scores in particular, as a source of inspiration/influence. Also, I had forgotten how good the entire cast was in this movie, and how much is communicated without words. A lesser script would have explained what these writers and director trust us to understand.
Jacob, personally I believe that there are multiple ways to meditate. Anything that can help you focus on this "one thing", kinda tune things off, could be considered meditating in a way? To me that happens when I'm crocheting. I just get in the zone for hours sometimes. (: maybe you just need to find what works for you.
Oh wow I never looked at it that way! In that case I’d say playing piano is something I find very meditative. Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching!
The fighting in the rain with the wooden swords scene is interesting. I think Algren not giving up can either be interpreted as him being just brave or it could be him just being masochistic and wanting to punish himself for his past crimes. Either way, that sort of thinking clashes with the Japanese warrior mentality of accepting the shame of defeat. In a way, to them, Algren is shameless.
Great movie. There are some historical inaccuracies, but the feel of the movie was spot on. I think the best acting job by Cruise, who sometimes seems to be a caricature of himself. But not in this movie. A similar feel with Dances With Wolves with Kevin Costner if you've never seen that. Also, Legends of the Fall which on the surface looks like a chick flick but is so much more. Like Last Samurai, directed by Edward Zwick.
It isnt perfect history wise, but as a fictional story, it is perfect and emotional. it is quite good, i did enjoy it But i enjoyed the reaction even more, im a little angry youtube only recommends me these good commentary/reaction channels rarely Let me recommend a korean movie "i saw the devil" it is a horror/action/thriller for the brave of heart. I would like if you gave it a try or a quick search, some reaction channels have dome reactions to it
@ReelReviewHQ Basic synopsis of the Cherokee creation story, is that the world was just water. The animals were curious about what was below it, and one of them went down and brought up mud, which became the earth. Over time, the earth was formed into what we know now by the animals (The mountains were made by a bird flapping it's wings as it flew around to see of the mud was dry yet, for example). It's being held up by 4 cords attached to the sky world (where the animals used to live), and once the world is old and worn out, the cords will break and the earth will sink back into the sea.
i first watched when I was like 18 years old this movie. Maybe younger, I remember liking it not loving it though, that could've been due to arrogance and not educated enough at that age. Now at (28) I love the film. Easily one of the best films in the entire film history. It easily ranks top 50 of all movies I have watched and even heard of.
A simply GORGEOUS, incredibly well done movie. Ken Watanabe, and, Koyuki gave AMAZING performances. HOWEVER, it is NOT history. The US played no part in the Meiji Restoration. The Imperial Army was supplied, and, trained by the British, and, French.
This is my All Time Favorite Movie, I watched it more than 100 times over the last 20 years ... whenever i am traveling i watch it, when i was late in work watch many clips of it, read so many debates about how epic this movie? I joined many debates and i compared this movie with Movie called Dances with Wolves 1990, on how a solder or a ranked office has enough morals and ethics will not accept any kind of criminal behavior against innocent people even if we kind of war with them. that is the main theme of the mental state of the main character. and i just loved that they didn't show any Love/sex scene and only showed that tender kiss which equal 100 min of all other movies love scenes. P.C. wrote this comment at 2:47 run time of this reaction video ... i always love to write my opinion before hear or read other reactors comments and commentary. Best Of Regards from Egypt. You should check out the first live action of Rurouni Kenshin. The lead was a previous Kamen Rider and amazing stuntman and they based it on the Kenshin OVA, so it’s very serious and touching. Set in the same time period, right before the industrialization and westernization of Japan.
I didn’t even know they did a live action!!?? I’m a big fan of Kenshin the Anime Samurai X 100% gonna look this up now, thank you for the recommendation!!

It’s an absolute beauty of a film, To us it was never about Nathan, but a story of Katzumoto and Japan, told through the lens of Nathan, a triumph of a film :)
haha I get that too! I just think it was unnecessary in terms of the themes of the story. And maybe a little unrealistic? I mean he did kill her husband, the father of their children. But I get the whole honor redemption thing too, and he did step up for the family when he realized what he’d done. I guess I wish they had left the connection/attraction between the 2 of them more unspoken instead of the whole shower and dressing scene
brillant reaction and review , spot on on so many point especially about Taka. I don't know what you have seen or not but if i may suggest give a try to Arcane (netflix)
Fairy tale. Japan didn't took USA as example of anything on that time. They had Germany for the Army and Britain for the Navy. On that time, USA didn't count for the rest of the world.

You are 100% incredible!!! We hope you enjoyed watching with us!!
the music is a whole other character in this movie
God so true!!
Yeah when he says “I will miss our conversations” I just lost it man… miss my father so much
Yea that got us too… sorry for your loss Lord.
Genuinely annoyed I found you now with so few videos! Chop chop, reaction men! (FR loving the videos, currently binging!)
JACOB!!! Double the efforts!!!
Consider us on it ;)
Thank you so much for watching with us!!
Ikr we can’t binge watch yet 😂
I've seen this movie a few times, but damn guys....it was a pleasure to watch again through your eyes! You hang your hearts out for us! After this channel blows the f up, can't wait to be able to say i remember when, and I was here to see it all! ❤
I’m so glad you are here along for the ride with us! Thank you for watching with us, and seriously thank you for the support. This one had me crying lol we truly loved it!
What a great reactiion video. After all these years, this movie remains the best I have ever seen. Greetings from Germany. Thomas.
It’s become an instant favorite 😍, thank you so much for watching with us !
Keep up the good work.
Your guy’s reaction at the end is exactly how my buddies and me felt when we left the theater back when this came out. There was just so much to say, but we couldn’t quite find the words because we were so emotional. I went back two more times to see it at the theater. I’m still blown away by this movie.
I have to say, definitely one of my favorite reactions to one of my favorite movies… subbed for sure.
Awesome! Thank you! We loved every second of this one!
100% Katzumoto is the Last Samurai, it’s killing us hearing other people don’t see that
You guys I watch a lot of reaction content and let me just say I wish every reaction was as heartfelt and genuine as this one, keep it up you guys looking forward to more
This is one of my all time favorite movies.
Especially at the end, in the rain and the mud, when the poisoned king rises one last time to join his brothers, the Arab now one of them, to throw down his foe and take his place in the halls of Valhalla..."where the brave may live forever."
Freaking LOVE that movie!!
Currently watching your reaction to The Crow...another epic movie!!
i so much appreciate your guys take on this one. the parts of the movie you focus on are, i feel, the important ones, and things that most other reviewers either 1) fail to recognize because they’re too focused on the cinematography aspects, or 2) too in-depth to give more than their cursory overview. yall, on the other hand, comment on all the things that make me cry watching this movie. keep up the excellent work
By far my favorite reaction to one of my favorite movies. Respect, gentlemen.
This movie will always be one of the favorites. Nothing can touch this.
Love your reaction you guys are great! This movie gets a lot of shallow judgment from people that have never seen it but it’s a beautiful film in all aspects and my personal favorite.
Absolutely gorgeous, couldn’t agree more!
The last narration seems to be overlooked in many reaction videos. "...small measure of peace that all men seek, but only a few of us ever find" is very deep to me. It's hard for me to articulate how i feel about it but it sent me chills when he said it.
That line now lives inside me
This masterpiece is my absolute favorite movie ever.
It is not a war movie but a movie about Japanese culture, about respect, honor, loyalty.
The cast, the soundtrack, the production TOP CLASS!! 🎬🏯
100%
Movies that can bring a grown man to tears without shame are a rare and precious thing these days.
Loving watching this channel! My only hope is that you haven’t seen some of my other favorite movies.
Thank you so much! Got any suggestions?!
I've seen this so so so many times and I cry through the entire last third of the movie every time. Once Nobutada falls it's just nonstop tears... and just when I think I'm done crying they hit me with:
"Tell me how he died."
"I will tell you how he lived."
And then I'm sobbing all over again. This movie is a masterpiece. And yes one of the most beautiful scores ever made.
The way I would pay money to stumble upon you two glorious idiots filming one of these intros in the wild….
We would hope you would help us film lol it’s hard using a tripod! 😂
@@ReelReviewHQokay I guess I could do that. Hahaha
The guy that was mentioned as being in Mortal Kombat, is also in Shogun.
This is my favorite movie. Most underated movie of all the time. I love the part where he,s mind comes the peace and has untroubled sleep.
If you enjoyed this movie, you'll definitely love the miniseries Shogun, which involves a similar premise, though it is set at the end of the Sengoku era rather than the beginning of the Meiji era.
you guys are awsome! love your reactions
the score to this movie Tore me up, and still does. everytime!
I just found your channel. This movie is just.. Perfection. No many how many times I see it, it is.. Beautiful. Nice reaction! Slapped me a sub button!
Great reaction guys. You got yourself a like & sub and look forward to more. Keep it up.
Best reactions. I found a couple of gems in a sea of RUclips reactors. Genuine reactions ❤️
James Horner composer
Edward Zwick Director.
Those two were a pair unrivaled in the art of film making.
Last Samurai
Glory
Legends of the Fall
The storytelling and emotion are unmatched
This is still one of my favorite movies of all time
The beauty of the scene with the Boken is that the Japanese captain tells him to throw the katana to the ground, and he never obeys. In the end, the only option the Japanese captain has is to take the katana from his hand. That is exactly what he does. At no point does he surrender, and he never drops his katana, even though he is taking a beating.
50:00 this part broke me!! 😭😭😭
Love this movie. It's "jolly good."
Im so glad people are finally understanding that Cpt Algren WAS NOT samurai, let alone the "last samurai".
38:47
Ujio says "Spare no one!"
Totally agree. For me it's knitting. Keeps me sane.
Whoa RUclips actually notified me for once and I’m so early 🤣🤣
Nice!!! This one was a bit more serious for us, and definitely had us in the feels at times
@@ReelReviewHQit’s definitely a change of pace from what I’m used to seeing from you guys, but such an incredible film and reaction nonetheless!!
Thank you Ryan Reynolds for reacting to this masterpiece 😂
Great movie. There are some historical inaccuracies, but the feel of the movie was spot on. I think the best acting job by Cruise, who sometimes seems to be a caricature of himself. But not in this movie. A similar feel with Dances With Wolves with Kevin Costner if you've never seen that. Also, Legends of the Fall which on the surface looks like a chick flick but is so much more. Like Last Samurai, directed by Edward Zwick.
It isnt perfect history wise, but as a fictional story, it is perfect and emotional. it is quite good, i did enjoy it
But i enjoyed the reaction even more, im a little angry youtube only recommends me these good commentary/reaction channels rarely
Let me recommend a korean movie "i saw the devil" it is a horror/action/thriller for the brave of heart. I would like if you gave it a try or a quick search, some reaction channels have dome reactions to it
02:25
Actually we do, it's just from the Indigenous Americans, instead of the people that came over and claimed the country.
Probably true! Do you know any awesome stories?
@ReelReviewHQ Basic synopsis of the Cherokee creation story, is that the world was just water. The animals were curious about what was below it, and one of them went down and brought up mud, which became the earth. Over time, the earth was formed into what we know now by the animals (The mountains were made by a bird flapping it's wings as it flew around to see of the mud was dry yet, for example).
It's being held up by 4 cords attached to the sky world (where the animals used to live), and once the world is old and worn out, the cords will break and the earth will sink back into the sea.
Thank you for your reaction. New subscriber…
Welcome welcome!!! 🙏 thank you!!
26:34 WHY have you been clocked with a Boken before?! Why do you have that experience?! haha
🤣 Jacob and I love to immerse ourselves in lots of hobbies
This film is transformative and is, I think, a kind of initiative film to watch with Da Boys.
Great reaction! This is one of my favorite movies. 👏 You should watch "Tombstone", "The Godfather" (trilogy), "Scarface", great movies too! 🙂
This easily shot to the top of my favorites list!
Glory it's also good.
i first watched when I was like 18 years old this movie.
Keep doing what y'all are doing and look forward to more reactions! I might humbly suggest Gladiator if neither of y'all have seen it!
Great suggestion!
This is the first video i watch for you. hope wont be the last.
Thank you so much for watching with us! We agree so much! The kiss was absolutely perfect nothing to overly lustful or loving. Just perfect
@@ReelReviewHQ
The Kiss was Fantastic, and i loved that they went for this and didn't choose the normal kind of Hollywood's way.
And By the way i just finished watching your reaction video, and guys .. Guys ... Both of you are Fantastic ..
I loved so many moments of this movie .. This movie is a Top Tier in every thing Acting, Music, Cinematography Screen Writing.
Masterpiece ....
AND .... about this video :
I LOVED EVERY SEC OF THIS VIDEO ... I liked that both of you showed your emotions as any normal person will feel about this movie,
i watched many reaction for this movie and i can tell you there are even girls didn't cry or tear to not show emotions and saw guys cold as stone, as they watch something normal like people washing their hands after having a dinner ..
Thank You and i will check your channel and watch the reaction videos for my favorite movies.
You are amazing, thank you so much for the support! We hope to continue doing what we’re doing ! Love from Texas!
I’m a big fan of Kenshin the Anime Samurai X
100% gonna look this up now, thank you for the recommendation!!
The movies are amazing!
100% going to watch this
@@ReelReviewHQ They made a few movies. And It is one of the best live-action adaptations out there.
*bowing fellow samuari's' superb reaction.
This film is truly powerful and a grand masterpiece and breakdd my heart each time I watched it.
Phenomenal story, amazing acting and truly a work of art in all ways.
Really enjoyed your reaction to this film.
👏👏🤝
Right, I can't comment on anymore reactions untill I've seen some of the films you've already done a reaction on lol
Which ones haven’t you seen??
I've not watched any of the twilight films, only because they're not for me lol I'm more of a interview with the vampire kinda guy.
Not seen borderlands yet but I've missed your reaction on the witch. Which I will watch once I've slept lol
Nice!! My favorite movie of all time! Great reaction and I’m glad you guys loved it as well! And I agree, Hans Zimmer = the 🐐!
To the gentleman on the right- For when you’re out tearing it up on your motorcycle, I HIGHLY recommend listening to the track (from the OST) called “The Final Charge”, trust me! 😎👍🏼👍🏼
I really liked "The Last Samurai." It's one of the few Tom Cruise movies that I like him in. If you liked "The Last Samurai," you should watch "Interview with a Vampire." It would go well with your Twilight movies! FR!
I love your guys' reaction to this movie. Personally, one of my favorite movies of all time. I know it gets a bad rep with Western audiences , and also a bad rep in Japan a bit. Not so much, but this is honestly one of the best movies of all time in my mind. I loved it. I don't care about the "white savior tropes" . This is a movie that I can watch when I'm down, upset. So, I just love you guys' reaction. Just enjoy the movie, man.❤
It’s an absolute beauty of a film, To us it was never about Nathan, but a story of Katzumoto and Japan, told through the lens of Nathan, a triumph of a film :)
I always took it as Nathan Algren was The Last Samurai.
I wouldn't. He was not Samurai. He was an attendant and held in high honor at the end, but never was a Samurai like Katsumoto.
Love this movie!! They probably could have cut the whole love story with Taka but otherwise a 10/10 movie for me
Absolutely loved it, what!?!? We loved that intricate story with Taka!!
haha I get that too!
Please react to shogun
hans zimmer my man!
Hans Zimmer is incredible!!!
Watch Anna & the King next!
Own this movie in multiple formats, Including HD-DVD for my Xbox hddvd expansion drive. Lol
I now want it on all my devices lol it’s so good, did you see it in theaters?
brillant reaction and review , spot on on so many point especially about Taka. I don't know what you have seen or not but if i may suggest give a try to Arcane (netflix)
People have been suggesting arcane a lot, We are starting to think there may be something to it lol also thanks for watching with us :)
Dude... You're a couple of decades beyond the 'agility of a feline'...
It's a youngster game.
Fairy tale. Japan didn't took USA as example of anything on that time. They had Germany for the Army and Britain for the Navy. On that time, USA didn't count for the rest of the world.
Still a good fairy tale
the intro was fin epic as well :D
Thank you so much!!
one of my favs for all time. In my collection and watched like 75 times.
Hans Zimmer, Enrico Morricone and John Williams. They are the shizzle for hizzle.
100%%%%
"I saw the devil" "train to busan" " oldboy" "seven samurai"
