Avoid ultra processed food, which is what most vegan food in particular is. Eat plenty of fresh wholesome vegetables and fruit, and one fish, chicken and red meat serving per week. Now that's healthy. Avoid those nasty processed meats though.

Ruminants can actually synthesize B12 to my understanding in their gut flora through a fermentation process provided that they consume sufficient cobalt, but with industrialized farming, they often need cobalt supplementation. That said, animal sources can still be quite rich in B12. The problem with trying to get B12 from non-fortified plant sources as I understand is because we use pesticides (even for organic farming) on plants and wash them before consumption which removes much of the bacteria. There also used to be B12 in our natural water supplies to my understanding but no longer because we sanitize and filter our water.

Well, I suppose we did hear some recommended foods for protein sources but we also got to hear the guests take some unnecessary shots at eating a plant based diet along with some of their disinformation about vitamin B12. Forget the cheese-for 1 mozzarella string cheese (28gms) you get about 7 grams of protein but you can easily get that much protein from other veggie/seed sources. What about needing some extra protein if a person works out? I think the necessary amount would go up if one wants to put on more muscle.

Why people get hooked on red meat is a serious study. Some of this may be the nature of meat as a complete protein. The list of amino acids in foods apparently goes beyond just 9 essential amino s. Is foods such as chicken, rabbit, and fish failing to compete with the protein available with red meat animals (red meat animals would be Grazing animals and pigs)?
Can the protein and Vitamin B12 available from eating insects compete with eating any other meat?
A small tub of fatfree cultured Yogurt appears to have around 50 grams of protein. Some are also claiming that the Vitamin B12 in yogurt is easily assimilated.
Some are saying that there is some hope for Vitamin B12 from fermented rice and whole grain Sourdough-bread. Otherwise vegans are left with industrially produced Vitamin B12 supplements.
Chickpeas, lentils, chia seeds, peanuts, and quinoa are all said to be very high in protein.
Of course, women and children need adequate daily nutrition. A special Frugal diet or Fasting is a private choice for adults.
Potatoes are said to be a complete protein though very starchy. Rice, wheat, and corn do have a significant amount of amino acids. Mushrooms are said to have a great amount of amino acids though it may take consuming 100 mushrooms to get near 50 grams of protein. Nutritional yeast is a complete protein. Tempeh is probably getting at a complete protein. Moringa is said to have a great range of aminos.

We are all subject to the same propaganda here in the US that vegetables are the healthiest food you can eat and meat causes heart disease and cancer...never mind the fact that humans have been eating a mostly meat based diet since we have been humans..
Vegetarians cannot get enough protein, period. Protein comes from meat, and supplements won't work forever. The human body needs meat to get it's fat and protein from.
Vegetarians don't get nearly enough nutrition, but since they are usually dogmatic about their incorrect belief about the nutrition of vegetables, it they avoid meat to much they just get skinny, lose muscle and become sickly looking, or non robust.
Just look at Peter Frampton. Or Charlie Watts. They have no muscle to speak of.
Eat meat and protein for good health just like our ancestors did.

No, Not all the humans were consuming meat; may be when farming wasn’t invented. Sorry to say but Your this argument is incorrect.
Protein comes from meat?? Where does animal get the protein then.. you can get proper protein and minerals if you consuming good diet. Period ..
