    This explanation about the difference between 이/가 and 은/는 is the best one I have ever got to read, or heard. Literally this is the explanation I have been waiting for during the 4 years I've spent learning Korean. I have been feeling so dumb over these years about this subject because I only caught the comparison use of the topic particle but was completely lost when I had to use it properly in other cases and any of my teachers was able to make me understand this point of Korean grammar. THANK YOU!!!! This is really helpful and now I know I will improve my learning about this topic.

  • @orangejmoothies

    The thing about 이/가 and 는/은 is that you have to keep listening, studying and learning korean to understand how to use it naturally.
    Even if you say “나는 쿠키를 좋아해요”, it’s not natural at all!! It’s kinda of strange to say tbh.
    So the biggest advice i can give is to keep emerging yourself in the korean language. The more you wrap yourself around the language, the more you’ll slowly learn it and know how to use it. I used to be so confused on how to use it and i still am, but my understanding has gotten muchhhh better :)

    • @ConversationalKorean

      That's a great advice which I agree a lot. Thanks!

    • @orangejmoothies
      @orangejmoothies 4 года назад +5

      @@gecko499 like many grammar points/vocab you learn in a different language, it's all about context. in the korean language, rarely do we address ourselves (the speaker) like that. So saying "난 쿠키를 좋아해요" is actually a really specific reply. We aren't simply just saying "oh i like cookies". Here's an excellent video explaining this! ruclips.net/video/3g3IxUB9tHE/видео.html

      다음 라이브 스트리밍 시간에 정답을 공개할 생각이에요. 이 비디오 답글 다신 분 중에 정답을 쓰신 분도 있어요.
      I'm thinking about revealing the answers during the next live streaming. There's someone who wrote the correct answer on the comment section of this video.
