Peter was a member of Chicago for years. A lead singer and played bass
Such a recognized voice. First word and you know it’s Peter.
I literally have my tongue in cheek smiling that they dont recognize the distinguished original voice of Chicago.
First girlfriend = first movie we watched was Karate Kid II so this became "our song"
Chicago didn't actually have a lead singer. they alternated from song to song until David Foster produced one of their albums and convinced Cetera to go solo
@@cliftonparago4547 After Terry Kath untimely death in 1982, Cetera became the default lead vocalist and front man even though he shared the mike with original member Robert Lamm and newcomers like Donny Dacus and Bill Champlin on subsequent albums before the introduction of David foster on Chicago 17.
This was from The Karate Kid 2. When people think of 80's iconic movies like The Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, Top Gun, Flashdance etc., there's certain actors that immediately come to mind and one of them is Ralph Machio and Pat Morita. And as a sidenote Tamlyn Tomita was da bomb!
Lost count of how many times I saw this movie in the theater!
Yeah, this is definitely from part 2, when they went to Okinawa, Japan…the original Karate Kid Movies had three parts…
Love the series Cobra Kai that they made 30+ years after Karate Kid. Fun series!
Agreed 100%! Karate Kid Part II was directly responsible for my love of Japan (and Tamlyn Tomita was directly responsible for my attraction to Asian women, LOL). Seriously, though, I think II was the best film in the franchise.
My heart just raced when Tamlyn came on screen which caught me off guard lol
Muscle memory I guess :)
Peter Cetera. One of the most distinct and recognizable voices in the recording industry. A unique tone and timbre to his voice.
I'm going to nominate this for greatest power ballad of all time. Peter Cetera also sang "Hard to Say I'm Sorry" with Chicago; hard to believe that's his *second* most epic power ballad. By the way, the movie is actually "The Karate Kid, Part 2." See the original first.
Easily the best!
Hard to Say I’m Sorry is my favorite I think
Don’t forget, “You’re the inspiration” which sounds like this song. “If you leave me now” and “Song for you” are my favorite songs too but aren’t power ballads which should have been 😂
Does anyone remember "After All"? His duet with Cher? I think it came out around the time I was born, but when I was kid I remember hearing it featured in the film "Chances Are". Most toddlers watched Barney. Apparently I was more into movies starring Cybill Shepherd and Ryan O'Neill. lol
This one is my #2. But my #1 is I Wanna Know What Love Is By Foreigner.
Peter cetera who was the bass player and became the main lead singer for the group Chicago, left the group in 1985. This was his first song and #1 hit after he left
He needed a bass in the video. Cetera seems a bit out of place without it!
He released his first solo album in 1981 and had a minor hit single "Livin' In the Limelight" which hit #6 on the US Mainstream Rock charts. He did leave Chicago in 85, so you nailed that one!
Next Time I Fall - Peter Cetera and Amy Grant. This was a number one beautiful love song in the mid 80s. Pretty confident both if you would like this harmonic banger and yes The Amber sway might come out lol.
One of my favorite songs to this day. ❤️
@@user-or1ye3iz6d Mine too!
I had a life-threatening crush on Amy Grant.
Amy Grant "I Will Remember You" was a great one by her
@@averyconnordaddy
Don't forget "Good For Me"❤
Peter has one of the greatest voices of all time!
Peter does killer duets with the ladies of the 80’s….”Next Time I Fall” with Amy Grant, “After All” with Cher, and my fave, “Feels Like Heaven” with Chaka Khan…..
LOVE his duet with Amy Grant ❤️❤️❤️
After All with Cher
You've heard him before. He sang for Chicago from 67-85
Peter, Robert and Terry! Amazing singers
I am shocked, SHOCKED, that no one yet has mentioned he was a lead singer for Chicago a decade or more. 😉
Its that we're trying to forget it.
I love Peter ceteria but Terry Kath was the original singer and he accidentally shot himself
Peter Cetera, Terry Kath & Robert Lamm were the Three original singers for Chicago. Terry & Peter were amazing together. Peter tenor/ Terry baritone. Amazing! I have always Loved Peter’s voice!
Greatest love song of the 80s!!!!! Love Peter Cetera
Peter Cetera can sing more than love songs, though they are some of his best songs. His voice is iconic and immediately recognizable. You actually have reacted to him before when you reacted to Chicago's 25 or 6 to 4. That was him singing lead. This is one of my top 10 favorite songs. Thanks for reacting to it!
i almost wish the two best male voices of the 80's did some sort of duet: cetera's tone and steve perry's range would have made something astounding
@@vinsanity40k I have always wished this... and, you can add Russell Hitchcock in his prime
No he can’t sing he is a white artist so by default it’s an Imitation white people can’t do music
He's the lead singer on Chicago's "Along Comes A Woman". Highly recommend. Great horn piece at the end.
Also "Stay the Night" "25 or 6 to 4" "Saturday in the Park"
This song is from Karate Kid pt 2. In fact it starts basically immediately after the first movie.
@@broodhunter2 I was pretty certain Robert Lamm sang lead on Saturday in Park, a song they listened to last week.
@@Keedeeg You are correct, it was Robert Lamm
Why is "Along Comes A Woman" not a bigger song? I listen to that probably more than any Chicago song.
Other songs of theirs that I like, "Look Away" "I Don't Want to Live without Your Love" "If She Would Have Been Faithful" "We Can Last Forever."
You already know Peter as the frontman from Chicago ("You're the Inspiration"). This song was featured in the 1986 movie The Karate Kid II. Great film. For more of Peter's solo stuff, the next one you should do is "The Next Time I Fall", a duet he did with the amazing Amy Grant. He also had bangers with "One Good Woman" and "Restless Heart". ANNNNDDDD... he did a duet with the legendary Chaka Khan called "Feels Like Heaven"!
I don't think they know he was in Chicago.
@@harrytryon6782 He hadn't changed that much at that time, from when he left Chicago and they have done a few reactions to Chicago.
@@harrytryon6782 That's why they have us. To inform them. :)
@@Shrykespeare They don't read comments. After several Beatles reactions, two of which were sung by George, one or two Traveling Wilbury reactions, and at least one George Harrison reaction, they STILL didn't know George was a Beatle until their PATRIONS told them. You have to PAY them to inform them. Your suggestions are also unseen. You have to pay for that, too.
@@davidgfisher I was enthusiastic about this channel, before I figured them out. Every time they did a song that I had suggested, I assumed they'd seen my suggestion, since they CLAIM to read comments. But that George Harrison thing proved they don't. I waited to see what kind of excuse they'd have for that, and after the video where they gave their lame excuse, something about they must've just overlooked that info in the comments, I unsubbed. I was planning to the whole time, I was just waiting to hear the excuse. I still see them in my recommendeds, I usually ignore it, but when I saw Peter Cetera, I had a hunch it would be just like the George thing, and it was. If they didn't pretend to be interactive, it wouldn't be so bad, but they ASK for info, the comments fill up with info, and they don't even bother to glance at it enough to see what's being said. If 10,000 subbers told them Cetera was in Chicago, they won't know it till their patreons tell them.
Peter Cetera was the lead singer for Chicago. He is amazing.
There's a reason your channel has grown exponentially over the past year. You two are charming, beautiful, intuitive, and entertaining as all heck. Wishing nothing but the best for the whole squad.
-Becca
Guys you should check out his duet with Cher After all absolutely great song and great chemistry.
I agree...I was about to mention that song as well.
YES!!!
That would be "After All" from the film "Chances Are" starring a young Iron Man, er um, I mean Robert Downey Jr. Come to think of it, "Chances Are" and "Avengers: Endgame" aren't too dissimilar, where one guy sacrifices himself in a time travel type of plot.
Peter cetera was the original bassist and vocalist of the band Chicago, I was so surprise that you didn't even recognize him and his voice, by the way thanks for a great reaction...
Their brains are being so saturated with music 🎶 in such a short period of time ⏰ there isn't room for it all.
The original Chicago singer passed away.
@@susananderson3126 maybe you were referring to their drummer/vocals, Chicago have multiple singers....
He is referring to Terry Kath, the guitarist and one of the three singers at the time in Chicago. The drummer was not one of the singers.
@@susananderson3126 unless he was black this band always sucked
The bridge in this song is actually awesome. “Like a knight in shining armor…” That part.
It's Peter Cetera from Chicago, one of their three main vocalists...he's the balladeer
Not only that - he sang 25 or 6 to 4…. Definitely not a ballad. Most of his solo stuff has been ballad-like though.
"After All" by Cher & Peter Cetera. Beautiful song.
Wonderful song!
Yes!! 🤩
@@amandabispo2949 Also "The Next Time I Fall" by Peter Cetera and Amy Grant (1986)
One of my favorites!!!
Great song I was just thinking they should listen to that
Peter Cetera and Amy Grant's "Next Time I Fall" is another great one 💕💕💕
Peter Cetera of Chicago Wrote "Wishing You Were Here" that they did with the great backing vocals of the Beach Boys. it 's a must do and in it he puts down the bass he usually plays and plays an acoustic guitar & sings the middle vocals while Terry Kath plays the bass and sings the beginning & end vocals. Peters 1st power vocals was in the 1st album in a song called "Questions 67 & 68". I always thought it was one of their greatest with great horns and a rhythm change up.
Peter cetera has got an amazing voice in my opinion
Just a heads up, this song goes with Karate Kid Part 2. So, if you do ever watch the movie you won't be as confused. And, if you do ever react to movies, the movies from the 80s are the greatest.
"(I Wanna Take) Forever Tonight", his duet with Crystal Bernard, is my favorite Peter Cetera song.
Peter Cetera was one of my favorites growing up with his solo stuff n his stuff from Chicago
I was a softie as a kid, so this was literally my favorite song in the world for a time. I've branched out since, and love a lot of other songs more, but I'll always enjoy this one. My experience of branching out my own musical tastes makes up a large part of why I enjoy watching channels like yours so much - you guys are intentionally exposing yourselves to new music that strangers are telling you is good, and being awakened to whole new worlds! It's wonderful to watch, and I take joy in your joy! All the best!
This brings back so many memories. Very vivid memories of someone who lied to me and broke my heart but, I SURVIVED.
Same!
Oh the memories this song brings back! I was a teenager in love with Ralph Macchio lol. Peter’s voice is just beautiful ♥️ Please check out Hard Habit To Break by Chicago. Another example of Peter’s gorgeous voice.
I was as well, now in Cobra Kai I’m digging William Zabka lol, and this is from Karate Kid 2 the best one in my opinion 🖤💚🖤
YES... love Cobra Kai
@@wendyreveyoso3731 I thought I was the only who grew up with a crush on Ralph but now on William! Lol explain this please 🤣
Oh yes! Huge crush on Ralph Macchio since "Outsiders". He still looks great for being 60 and can still kick ass.
@@footballlover9207 crazy right? I have no clue what it is
The angels weep when Peter Cetera sings.
I can't even tell you how much I loved this song when it came out. I listened to it over and over until I knew the words in my soul. Still know them. I will never not jump to click on this song. 💜
Great artist! Amazing voice sad he left Chicago! I believe this was in Karate kid 2
You are correct. This one was from 2.
This is from "The Karate Kid 2" where they go to Mr. Myagi's hometown in Okinawa.
Peter, love him....just recently fell in love with "Only love knows why"
I love this song.. brings back wonderful memories
Hard to say I'm sorry. My fave song of all time by him. I still cry. 😔❤️❤️
Such a great song by a great singer. i went to see him when he was with Chicago.
Peter Cetera was one of the definitive voices of the 80s. Some of the best movies ever came from the 80s and the music is part of the greatness
Peter Cetera duet with Amy Grant "Next time I fall in love" original video. ❤️
One of my favorite male voices in rock. Thank you!!
Please react to “Hard to say I’m sorry.” Played it on repeat back when it came out- it was also a big one at our skating rink-. AND, the ORIGINAL Karate Kid movie is a cult classic must! Again, the original-🙂💖💙
THE PETER ´S VOICE IS THE MORE NEAR TO THE PERFECTION.
One of the few songs that send chills up my spine. Love it.
Guys! This is the Karate Kid 2 movie. It's a classic and you two need to get your popcorn and have movie night tonight. It came out in 1986.
But only after you see the first Karate Kid
@@davidcall5430 True!
Omg you have GOT to watch The Karate Kid! This song is from the second one which was pretty good too. Love Peter Cetera❤️
one of my favorite songs of all time i was about 8 when it came out
I love the voice of Peter Ceterra, enjoy it 💕💕💕🎶🎶👍
Cetera was the lead singer for the group Chicago. The music sounds like Chicago .Good movie, great solo. Thank you
This song hit #1 while I was on vacation with my family in Florida (we were from Ohio). It was 1986. I was 14, and about to go to High School. I wish I could go back & do things right!
***** THANK YOU FOR THE HAPPY TEARS****
I was 16 yrs old dating my boyfriend( husband of 34 yrs in may) and I called the radio station and dedicated this to him. I wish I could upload a picture of us 34 yrs ago and now. After her heard it at work on the radio he took lunch and came and asked me to marry him. We had only dated for 2weeks. He was the love of my life at first sight and I was his. After 1 month and 6days of dating we were married. We have 1 ,26 yr old son.
Again thank you so much for this. Y'all are amazing.🤗😇🥰
Peter Cetera was amazing with Chicago. The "Chicago 17" album sold millions & won grammys. His duet with Amy Grant "Next Time I Fall In Love" is also worth hearing.
And he left Chicago right after their success with 17 and he kept making hits right after. He had two number ones right after he left Chicago.
oh yes a true love song. the man with the golden voice.
Peter was lead for Chicago for yrs
If you notice he doesn't open his mouth very wide, but more sideways. He learned to sing this way because back around 1970-ish he was beat up at Dodger Stadium for being a Cubs fan, and his jaw was broken and lost teeth and mouth wired shut for awhile. When he recovered, he didn't want to open his mouth wide for fear it would get stuck open.
I remember hearing this song for the first time on thevradio in the summer of 1986 thinking wow! This was a very special well done song and I knew it would go to number one.
Unfortunately for us. Peter quietly retired last year. Amazing voice. He had it until then. At least he went out on top unlike some singers that should have retired a while ago.
I loved his vocals, wished he could go on singing like that forever, but we all get old and have to retire.
Such a great song from my high school days.
When he was with Chicago he did a beautiful job singing Happy Man,he was in love and living that song, you can see it on his face ,and his smile. "And for the first time in my life,I know what it's like to be,a Happy Man."
Thank Goodness you have as many kids as you 2 do! That gives these 50 States that much more Hope in my heart.
I’m 53. Anyone my age will start singing the hook
Peter Cetera could sing the phone book and turn it into a number 1 hit..One of them voices that is instantly recognisable..You should check out a duet he did with Cher called After all from the movie soundtrack Chances Are. The vocals are insane
So agree with you on this
Oh that's funny and so true. About the phone book!
I can say that is my favorite singer, from Chicago and when he when solo, like every album and have them all even DVD, he is the best
The beauty of the 80's is that it is sparkling with inseparable music and their respective film soundtrack, the original Karate Kid movies is one of them. Even if a cover was made of this song, it would still only ever be the original vocal artist from the very original movies that would be conjured up in memory from that great decade of movie music!
Peter Cetera & Amy Grant - Next Time I Fall In Love
Glad you finally got to this song. It's an absolutely beautiful love song! It was from the second Karate Kid movie of the 80's.
Next Peter Cetera stop is his duet with Amy Grant "The Next Time I Fall".
"One good woman" is another classic from him!
Peter Cetera and Cher
After All
Fantastic Song
This beautiful song was actually for the Karate Kid II.
Love Ralph Macchio i have been a hard core fan and crushed on him as well. He's a doll. The original Karate kid was awesome and he did fall in love his gf in Karate kid 1 her name was Allie Awesome reaction guys love to you both from Memphis Tn.
Yeah, but she wrecked his car. But then he went to Okinawa and met Kumiko.
@@gregorymoore2877 Yes i know that
Oh Lord! " Just like a Knight in shining armor, from a long time ago
Love Peter Cetera’s voice, great song. One of my favorite singers from the group Chicago.
This song is from Karate Kid 2, but you guys owe it to yourselves to watch the original Karate Kid movie... such an epic 80's movie.
Peter was the lead singer of Chicago.
he was one of the lead singers of Chicago.
Robert Lamm sang lead vocals on Saturday In The Park, Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is, and Beginnings.
Terry Kath sang lead on "I'm a Man" (Chicago Transit Authority), "Colour My World", "Make Me Smile" (both part of "Ballet for a Girl in Buchannon"), "Movin' In", and "In The Country" (Chicago II), "Free" (Chicago III), "Dialogue (Part I & II)" (Chicago V), "Wishing You Were Here.
Peter cetera is the golden voice of Chicago😍😍😍
I love Peter Cetera
Many people have recommended "Hard to Say I'm Sorry." Great song, but make sure you listen to the version that includes the ending called "Get Away." The song is great, but that extra piece shows off Chicago's horn line and is just fire. Also, the Chicago 17 album had a number of great songs on it.
They already reacted to Hard to Say I’m Sorry.
Yeah, they already reacted to Hard To Say I'm Sorry, but that version cut out before Get Away-- I was esp. looking forward to it because of Amber's love of horns and felt let down she didn't get to experience the whole thing
Yep ... they did. I wonder if we can get J and Amber to react to it again with "Get Away" at the end!! 😃👍😉
@Rob Squad Reactions
Yes Chicago 17 was the last album he was with the band before he when solo, best album
You've also heard Peter Cetera as the lead singer on Chicago's 25 or 6 to 4, Hard to Say I'm Sorry and You're the Inspiration! He also wrote and sang Chicago's first number 1 hit, If You Leave Me Now. If you also want to hear a different side of his solo career, check out Livin' in the Limelight which features Toto's Steve Lukather on guitar.
The Next Time I Fall...Peter Cetera & Amy Grant...Perfect Song and duet...
Peter Cetera and Cher- After All,one of the best love songs ever.
One of the greatest songs ever written. Love the hat too! WHO DEY. Also, I noticed the Chicago picture on your wall. You’ve never heard this? Peter Cetera was Chicagos lead singer. He had differences with the band and he eventually went solo and this song was one of two hits on his first solo album!
His best vocals were on “If You Leave Me Now”, Chicago’s first #1 song. This one is great too, but IYLMN is on another level.
One of my favorite songs. Thank you doing this song.
He was great as the lead singer in the band Chicago with all horn section!!🎤🎺🎤🎷🎺🎷🎺🎷🎤🎹🥁🎤🎸
Peter Cetera, formerly of the group Chicago! He played bass guitar and sang lead and back up vocals!
You guys just made my heart so HAPPY! I've been waiting so long for this song! Knew that you would love Peter Cetera. He had an incredible career with Chicago as the lead singer - and an amazing solo career. Chicago - Hard to Say I'm Sorry (extended version is a MUST), Hard Habit to Break, You're the Inspiration. Peter's solo's - Daddy's Girl (from Three Men and a Baby is the cutest song EVER), No Explanation. Duets - After All (Peter/Cher), Next Time I Fall (Peter and Amy Grant), I Wanna Take Forever Tonight (Peter and Crystal Bernard). Hugs from Canada!............Btw - you must check out all three KK movies - and then Cobra Kai!
this guy sings like an angel
My first crush looked like Kumiko. That's why this will always be my favorite love song.
This song was in The Karate Kid II, which I haven't seen yet. You should watch the original Karate Kid. Pat Morita is excellent. It's more about inner strength than about fighting.
Such an iconic song! Classic example of a power ballad-it still gives me goosebumps. As others have mentioned, he was a member of Chicago until about 1985. My favorite song with him on vocals is “25 or 6 to 4,” which I’m pretty sure you reacted to a while ago. This movie franchise, and specifically Karate Kid II which this song is from, is also a classic.
Edit: If you watch the movies, your kids will definitely want to copy The Karate Kid-I was 8 when I saw this particular movie and BEGGED my mom to put me in karate classes!
Peter cetera is the ace of Chicago ❤️❤️
You picked one of my all time favorites. Thank you for blessing my day.
Check out Peter's cover of "Have You Ever Been In Love?", and "One Good Woman". Also, his CD "World Falling Down" is excellent.
Do you guys know this is Peter Cetera,
lead singer/bass player from Chicago?
Loved his voice when i was a teenager back in the 1970s during his Chicago days and solo career.
My sister loved this song so much. It was her all time favorite. I sang it for her at her wedding.
This is one of those songs you secretly like and sing while driving in your car but you don't want anybody to catch you singing it 🙄 🤓
Peter Cetera duet with Amy Grant is still one of my favorite songs EVER! “NEXT TIME I FALL". I'll leave the link in my reply comment below. ❤️🙏

Peter Cetera is already one of your faves... he's the lead singer of Chicago gone solo.....
It was said that Peter Cetera hated the horns on Chicago's music, but it had taken him about 15 years to realize that before he left the band in 1985.
