When we stayed at a HipCamp in the area they recommended a fresh mountain spring just up the road. We opted to stop off and start out day in this way before hitting the road to other adventures. What else will we find?

There is a wonderful place in Illinois called Garden of the Gods in southern Illinois. It is beautiful mountains but has a fresh springs water pump where the water is fantastic. Drive safe and enjoy life daily!

I used to get a lot of water from springs! My grandma's in NC, my uncles in OH, also in OH, and there used to be springs that filled up stone "horse waterer troughs" that I used fill up on by West Branch Nat'l Park, OH

You are down in my area for years. I now live in Kentucky but I recognize all the streets and stores. You will love the bass Pro there. Wish you had taken time to go to Graceland.
I have been to Memphis several times so each time I go i make it a point to see something new.. love doing that because it is a hub city in that region
Oh my goodness, did you say that you are going to Memphis? That's my hometown. I haven't been back in about ten years but I really want to. Have fun there, I'm so jealous.
We don't have gators in our Bass Pro Shop 😩. We only have 🐠
I love to go to the different stores because each has something different... kinda fascinating
I imagine those were some gators that were found there in memphis that have come up the Mississippi River. We done have them normally but they find 5-6 a year now with the change in the weather patterns. There is a wonderful IKEA store in Memphis that you need to go to bunny as they have a few great travel items but the food is delicious that they sell in the restaurant there.
I wish I’d known you were in Memphis. I live here and would have loved to meet you 3!! I camp about 3-4 months in the summer. West coast, Idaho, Colorado.
The water at my home base is spring water and tastes great! I fill up as much as I can with that before heading out. On the road I'm kind of leery of springs unless vouched for by a local. But I do have a Berkey and all unfamiliar water gets run through that unless I've bought bottled.
There were some wild storms rolling through TN and KY. Hate that you got caught in those but glad you got to see redbuds before the storms stripped the blossoms.

Hi Bunny and all. Idk if you watch Gonagain, Rick & Linda just started using a device that checks the water at all sources. A bit expensive, (I think $90), I'm planning to get one for filling the tanks in my boat, camping, etc. OMG your in fried pickle, fried alligator, (well fired everything) area! Enjoy.
I sometimes use water test strips... love doing that

She will be doing some solo traveling. Yes, however because she does need to go back to Vegas because her job is there that will be a little bit more minimal. However, she has some great things planned, and she will be doing some solo adventures on her way back, which will be really fun to watch.

I personally feel through all my water all of my bottles have filters for them
To her defense, the family that suggested this that owned the Hamp they get all of their freshwater out of it and said that it is pretty pure. I filter everything myself just because I do that with all water even water that comes from a bottle it’s a habit.

There is a place in Buhl, Idaho where you can refill your bottles from a rock too. Thousand Springs park. I wonder how many more places like that are in the country?
