There is a business in Canada that makes blackout covers for vans whereby they install magnets inside of binding that fits like a glove around windows. I suspect your next project will be to add binding to those screens and anchor magnets in them so you can put those screens on and off with ease. You are so very talented!!! Love the holographic flowers on the storage box; love how they change colors as you walk around filming them from different angles. Please show us the ones on the Berkey next time. Can't wait to see what other ideas you come up with!
You have a Bronco ? Me too and I cant figure out how to get mosquito nets in the windows since they are frameless. I’m thinking of glueing the net to a paracord and then tucking the rope into the rubber around the door frame. Magnets dont work bcuz the body is aluminum.
Clever solutions! If you can sew or know somebody who can, you might try attaching the magnets to the screens via a casing. then is will all be in one piece. easier to do in the dark. And if, over time, your fingers become a little less agile and arthritic like mine, you'll be ahead of the game and not having to mess with the little bitty magnets.
I will never own a vehicle without cruise control, I rented a car once that didn't have it, and it was awful. I'm glad you were able to get it installed.
I have never owned a car with cruise control! The car I have now looks the same as Lulu's (Holden Combo) and it does not have cruise control. The first time I drove a car with hazard lights, I accidentally turned them on and thought the headlights had gone wonky. Obviously I'm behind the times! 👍 🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘
Lulu, I’m in love with your wardrobe, you wear the cutest clothes. As a senior I’m always looking for something different than everyone else is wearing. I guess I’m reliving my 60’s youth . 😊 yup, those flowers are definitely sparking my hippie spirit ❤
Great Job on the new screens! How about making a channel hem around where the magnets are placed and glue them to the screen inside the hem? Your screen can be stretched and moved to close any gaps and you never have to spend time placing individual magnets again! Just slap and tuck and you're done!
in my old van instead of magnets i used round velcro dots. velcro on the metal and velcro on the the screen. my door locks weren't as accessible as yours are to anyone walking by. i know you don't worry about that but during my 4 years, i did have a few encounters with people acting weird outside during the night close by my doors. this was a very nice area, asilomar in monterey county. still there can be strange people out there.
Can you leave the screen in place and close the window? That way it’s ready to go at least on the passenger side… Love all your tweaks! It always feels so satisfying to get that stuff done! ☮️❤️☀️
I think they are called skeeter beeters. They have the magnets seen in all the way around. I put them inside my door frame instead of outside and they work perfectly. You go to their site and they have every kind of car and van just about. You plug in the name of your car and they will find them or help you. They also make them for sliding door van openings, etc.
Hi Lulu, if you dont want to keep puting your tiny magnets in the case, you can stick them above the window directly on the inside on the door frame. Love your stickers, so cool. Very creative of you. Love watching you from Virginia Born and raised in Mass. Go Patriots!
Hi Lulu, just sharing something I came across. There is a RUclips page out of Japan also doing camper van life. He DIY'd his interior and you would think he was using a huge vehicle but he's not! His vehicle is about your size. 😮 It's amazing how he got a lot in a small space. His channel might actually be helpful to someone else who is looking for a way to organize what they need to have with them. His channel is - Little Camper. He installed a shelving unit without drilling into the vehicle 😮.
You are simple, but right!. Your van is amazing. We like this channel. You know what, you will get your 1k followers because you are fresh and natural ; and overall a very positive person❤. Bye Lulú!
Yeeeeeessss!! So glad you figured out a way to use the screens instead of those black ‘fake’ cover screens…they remind me of pantyhose…and let’s be real, pantyhose do not breathe! I just love your creative ideas 😊
I had to install cruise control in my 2010 GMC Savana that I had camperized.. I couldnt find anyone to install it, but I was able to purchase a kit. The kit alone cost over $600 CDN. My retired mechanic volunteered to help me install it. The instructions were not great and we missed one tiny arrow in one of the diagrams. Missing that bit of instruction meant we couldn’t get it to work!!😔 A few months later, my son was visiting from out of town. He is not only an electrician, he is also very good at working on his own vehicles and understands a 12 volt(DC) system. Right away without even looking at the instructions, he spotted what we had missed. As soon as he made a simple adjustment it worked like a dream. I took another look at the diagrams and there it was, that teensy, weensy arrow!! Duh! I love having the cruise contol for road trip!
My truck 2018 Chevy Express extended Cargo Van doesn't. I have to stop every 2 hours to rest. I couldn't even put the push button to turn and warm to start it up either.
Great ideas Lulu. You might want to put a coat of clear spray paint or something over the decals on your box. The intense sun/heat will eventually cause damage, and I know your eye won’t like that. The window screen idea was genius!
Suggestion : run an ordinary candle or bees wax or. Soap, over that zipper of the cloth box you bought from the Thrift Store. It may make the zipper easy to use. We call these "decals"? - transfers if they are not sticky and stickers, because they have a sticky back.
I stumbled upon this wonderful channel. I love your energy and your organization. I’m retired but I started working again, because I plan to save money and buy a van and eventually live off my pension only. In a few years this will be me.
Everything looks just great. There’s always a few little changes that bother your eye ha ha I bet you did your way in today and it looks like you’ve lost a couple pounds.❤
You are really something! All your upgrades are very good. I love that medicine cabinet! Really adds personality to your home on wheels. It could also be used as a desk the way it folds down flat ..... Great dance at the end! You go girl
Lulu your crafty. Sandwich the magnets between the full screen and small pieces of scrap screen, hand sew around each magnet if you use an extra heavy duty thread, upholstery thread in a matching color they should visually disappear.
You are going to wish you had hemmed those magnets in place. Now that they're cut to fit, you could use bias tape to attach them. Or start over with a margin for the hem. And get a popsicle stick or tongue depressor to push them down between the glass and the metal at the bottom. It might need some sanding.
Lulu, you sure are a smart cookie. You always have great ideas. I love your daisies. I was thinking if you had any left put some in your medicine cabinet and maybe paint the wooden board to. I think it would make it more cheerful. What do you think? I adore your picture on the front. Just keep on dancing 😊😅😂.
Lulu- I love your 'be smarter than the problem' solution videos! Especially the screens!!! I wonder if you could glue the multiple sets of the two tiny magnets together and maybe sew them in a hem, like you did in your mosquito net project? Then it might be a quicker and easier way to install? I just love your solutions😀
I'm so excited knowing that I can get cruise control on my van! Thank you, Lulu. 🤩You are so clever - love the screens. You don't really have to take them off when you drive.
I have often said that I didn’t understand why people like the Noseeum netting. Yes, it keeps out the bugs, but also keeps out the air. This is a great solution. I have been meaning to try it to see if it would work. I was watching your video sitting in my van and I noticed I also have that thin metal everywhere, so I am off to the hardware store tomorrow.. Thank you.
Love all your updates of course! One of the features on your channel I enjoy a lot. Gadgets and inventions are so interesting to me. I especially love everyone’s suggestions for attaching the magnets to the screens permanently for simplicity sake! I was surprised you didn’t think of something like that, Ms Gadget. Lol. Thanks for another fun video. ❤❤
Again, i know you are a sewer of sorts, could you use bias binding around your wimdow screens with the magnet inserted inside. It would be so much easier to handle with them attached. 😊
I also ❤ the screen idea and immediately modified it for my van/rv, using a tension rod on the bottom in the window frame as my van has no metal there. It’s worked so well, I’ve shared your idea (giving you credit of course) with my RV group online. It looks so stealth, I’ve left the passenger side screen in, so that when I travel with my dogs I can keep the window open and the dogs in 😁
Thank you for thinking that through on the screens because I made my own screens too and they just look bad. They don’t look organized if I can use that word to describe it. They were hard to get tight. But your idea is perfect with the magnets giving you have all the control inside instead of outside.😁
To easily remove sticky goo crap, slather in peanut butter for like a day. It then slids right off !!!! I did this today to a stubborn sticker on a dish dryer rack.
I’ve never trusted cruise control, so although I have it, nope for me😂 My husband would get too much on automatic pilot for my liking when using cruise!
love your dress lulu. you have such a beautiful fashion sense. your medicine cabinet upgrade is great and gorgeous.👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼respect to your dedication to your posture exercises every hour on the hour. and all your van upgrades are brilliant. continued travel mercies and blessings.🕊

Your little side cabinets new locks are prefect I love that cabinet anyway so cute love love all changes love your screens hope you sent others back for refund yes yes air flows most important ❤❤❤❤
I have a 94 Chevy van…came with cruise control! I agree with you, I would never think to check for that on a newer van. I stumbled on your channel a few weeks ago…love it! Thank you!
So EXCITED for YOU and your screens! I too, find proper ventilation important. I want to run out and look at my door frame. Pretty sure there's lotsa metal. Keep Dancing! 💃
Since you are so 'eye candy' thinking I was wondering why you didn't put the screens inside with magnets. well now you have and with less material, less hassel and more pleasure received in use ! Congratulations on all the upgrades and tweeks. THANKS for sharing.
I have made screens as well. Suggestion... Use strips of duct tape to attach the magnets to the screen permanently. The screens will go up and down in seconds.
perhaps I will attach the magnets to the screens permanently, some time in the future. but, for now, I'll just use it as is and see how it goes! thanks for the suggestion!! 😊
Great window screen idea. Once you’ve used them a couple of times you could either stitch or glue the magnets in place right on the screen. 💕💕
I was thinking glue them on a rope or chord, then they are all ready to use.depends on if you want it fqncy or not i spose lol
Wold be much easier to attach the magnets to the screen
Looks great
The screens are the BOMB❣️
You definitely are a great problem solver!!!

Lulu if you take a glue gun and glue the back of magnets to screen it makes it even easier. I did that for my bronco
You have a Bronco ? Me too and I cant figure out how to get mosquito nets in the windows since they are frameless. I’m thinking of glueing the net to a paracord and then tucking the rope into the rubber around the door frame. Magnets dont work bcuz the body is aluminum.

oh, that's such a nice note, Jennifer!! thanks so much!! 😊
when you come up with a design that works you are so pleased and cute
Make a hem for the magnets, and then you can just throw it up without having to place the magnets each time.

yes, the window freely goes up and down!! I will see if my vision is clear enough if I leave them in the windows. 😊

I love your screen idea!! And…NO sewing!! 😂

Hi Lulu. I enjoy your channel so much!! You make me smile thank you. I can’t travel but I love watching
I'm so happy you enjoy my channel so much!! thanks for letting me know that!! keep smiling!! 😊
Great ideas Lulu. You might want to put a coat of clear spray paint or something over the decals on your box. The intense sun/heat will eventually cause damage, and I know your eye won’t like that. The window screen idea was genius!
hi Robin!! I was thinking that since the decals are made specifically for vehicles that the sun/heat will not affect them. we'll see!! 😊
Suggestion : run an ordinary candle or bees wax or. Soap, over that zipper of the cloth box you bought from the Thrift Store. It may make the zipper easy to use. We call these "decals"? - transfers if they are not sticky and stickers, because they have a sticky back.
hi Carolle!! the zipper is not sticking at all. it's just at an awkward angle because of how it sits back in the cabinet.
You are a hoot Lulu! I appreciate the stuff you share.
hi Jeanna!! so happy you enjoy my videos! 😊
I stumbled upon this wonderful channel. I love your energy and your organization. I’m retired but I started working again, because I plan to save money and buy a van and eventually live off my pension only. In a few years this will be me.
hello!!! I'm so happy you found my channel and enjoy it!! thanks for letting me know that!! have fun planning, it's half the fun!! 😊
That screen is brilliant!
Brilliant screen idea! These allow air circulation and don’t get soaked when it rains. Not all vehicles have framed windows but most do.
Maybe use the new little pouch in the cabinet to store your screens.
Everything looks just great. There’s always a few little changes that bother your eye ha ha I bet you did your way in today and it looks like you’ve lost a couple pounds.❤

More great ideas from LuLu!! And as always, great filming from your son- the composer! You two have fun and it shows! Thank you!
the screen is perfect, I use those sock things, but i've only car camped in the fall/winter so mostly used the open window to ventilate.
Nice ❤ You should glue or sew the magnets in. It will save you time 😊
great suggestion, Annette!! 😊
I can’t believe how you come up with these fabulous ideas 😊❤
Safe travels,

hi Jojo!! of course I thought of sewing them in!! HAHA!! as I ponder over the best way to do that, I'll just use them as is for now!! 😊
@@LulusWay64 I knew it! You're the best at figuring tweaks out! Can't wait to see your next batch of tweaks and tips.

That GREAT with the s teen on the inside of window, and then the bottom just fits down in window!!!! Cool✨☺️

I use cruise control in the city. What a game changer that is - I am always sure I will not get caught doing over the speed limit in town! 😊
Talk to Sokozi they make blackouts with vent's
