I absolutely love blue and white ceramics. I'm not lucky enough to have many pieces from England. Every time you visit a ceramic shop I am in awe of all the lovely things. Thank you for letting us see what's out there.
I am 56, when I was a child one of my grandmothers had the blue and white dishes in a glass cabinet and we were never allowed to touch them but I was amazed by them because the plates had scenes from a medieval pub… I would just stare at the scene and picture myself there!! Thanks for bringing back memories!! Red neck from Mississippi
Life is just too short, so these beautiful ceramic items should be enjoyed often, not just for the special occasions. I'm sure they would bring a smile to your face every time you see them. I have a small Christmas collection from Villeroy & Boch, and they bring so much inner joy to me, every time I see them. They keep me company from the first day of Advent all the way to Epiphany. I keep them in a glass cupboard and that way I can still enjoy in their beauty all year round. 😊
It's so true! We were talking to Michael (he runs the Spode Museum) and Eve and they said the very same. It makes such a difference to use pretty china every single day. I love the V&B Christmas collection, they always bring out such lovely items.
Thank you for taking me to see the beautiful and varied items at Spode; I truly enjoyed it! I also liked your private museum with the Woodland collection.
I loved this video, and I love China! I have my everyday dishes, my Miksa China from our wedding, a beautiful set of spring dishes which had been a gift from my mother-in-law and a set of dishes for Christmas. I also have a beautiful teacup collection I inherited from my grandmother and mother-in-law. I would have more, but don't have any more room, LOL! I wish I had a spare room in this house for just to store China, linens, etc. I especially loved the deep soup dishes you looked at with the floral patten and the Spode pheasant dishes. Your purchases will look so nice in your new kitchen, looking forward to seeing the transformation! 💙💙💙
Oh thank you for sharing your trip to the Spode Museum, everything is so beautiful, I was so excited to see what you chose Kirsten, love the spice and herb jars, so elegant, see you next time. xx 🤗
All your videos are wonderful, but I do love your videos where you go and show museums, shops, and factories with ceramics. Your herbs containers are beautiful. ❤
Hello from Canada. I love Spode. My Grampa gifted us with a Spode dinner service for 6 for our wedding 52 years ago. It is called Bridal Rose and it is a treasure.💕Over the years I have added a gorgeous tea pot, small dessert plates, a sugar bowl with lid and tiny butter pat plates. Our daughter and son in law gifted us the large platter on our 25th wedding anniversary. Thank you so much for taking us through the Spode museum. I fell in love with all that amazing blue Spode. Absolutely stunning. I could spend hours in there. Love your channel. So glad I found you. Looking forward to seeing your new kitchen. 🥰🇨🇦💐
I agree..it was really a wonderful gift! There is one complete with "Bridal Rose" on Etsy but unfortunately it's too expensive for my pocket 😮💨 It will remain a dream in the drawer for now and tomorrow...who knows😊 Greetings from Italy!
Thanks Kirsten & Joerg! A visit to Spode is a real treat! There are too many beautiful ceramics that I would never be able to choose a favourite pattern. I love them all! Again, thanks for the tour of the museum, the shop, and your personal treasures.
I like the dress you wore at the museum. What a lovely video seeing all the beautiful dishes. I am glad you changed your mind and bought the utensil container. It will last you your life and still live on after so that is not expensive.
I would be in heaven going to that place.. I love all things Spode and have quite a few pieces and as I have a country kitchen the blue and white crockery looks fabulous. I would love one of the "Utensils" pieces you bought Kirsten..it will look great in your new kitchen (so exciting). Happy Days😊🇦🇺
These dishes bring back wonderful memories of my great-grandmother. She couldn't afford Spode, but she had blue and white dishes. I believe they were Johnson Brothers Willow Blue. She brought them over from England to America in 1906. Thank you for the video. ❤
I love following the two of you from cottage to cottage. This video makes a person so envious, just to browse through all of the different Spode patterns. Any of these wii be beautiful in your new kitchen. There are so many styles to choose from. If I could I would choose Spode for a new kitchen, starting with a large platter. You can’t go wrong! It is a joy going through the shop with you. Everything is so elegant.
Thank you so much! We love so much so need to self-control as we do have Burleigh pottery for our every day use and add to it throughout the year. We love Burleigh so much too and have been loving it for decades. We won't be buying every day Spode but just add some bits and bobs.
My parents had a very close friend who worked at Spode and we were very lucky to obtain lovely pieces over the years at reduced prices. Funny story, the friend obtained a number of rare pieces, particularity a collection of demi-tasse cups that were not allowed to be touched and were hidden away in a cabinet. One night, my Dad and his friend had a rather tipsy evening...all evening actually. The following morning they decided to brew coffee and christen the rare demi-tasses. Well, you can only imagine the aftermath! Mr. Spode's wife and my mother went completely ballistic that they had the audacity to touch the demi-tasses, never mind the coffee grounds all over the kitchen floor!
My mother-in-law gave me her Spode Billingsly Rose china which was my husband’s parents wedding gifts, I’ve used them for special occasions and holidays during the 53 years of our marriage. I’ve received so many compliments from guests about the china. I want my granddaughter to have them.
Wonderful stories! Write for your granddaughter, small stories linked to these china,,it is really a treasure to have things that has been in the family for so long
another wonderful fun afternoon with Kirsten and Joerg for me. I love by every single video you entertain us with! Every week is so special and always absolutely over-the-top good. Places we would never ever be able to visit and I feel like I have been there now! Thank you so much for taking time sharing your filming great talent with all of us! Love you guys all the way from Oklahoma.❤❤❤
This was a great video. I loved every minute of it. Of course I love shopping and the shops in the UK are phenomenal. Thanks once again for taking me along and brightening my day.
I’m thrilled for you that the time is so close to having your NEW KITCHEN! THSNK YOU SO MUCH for the tour of SPODE!! Blue Italian is my pattern I began collecting just a few years ago. I LOVE my blue and white Spode and like yourselves, I would collect the Woodland pattern for fall use if I had seen it in my area my son-in-law has the Christmas set from his Mother 😊!
Wonderful tour! 💙🤍 The blue and white is so fresh and lovely.. your new Utensil holder and herb pots will be so beautiful in your new kitchen!! So exciting.. we are looking forward to seeing it! The detail in Spode is so special.. I have a bowl I am so fond of by Spode.. each design is prettier than the last one!! 💚🩵🩷💛
Yay, thanks a million Marcia! I just love visiting the Spode Museum Trust so much and the museum shop is incredible. Such unique pieces at amazing prices. It's wonderful that you have a bowl from Spode, it will always remain gorgeous.x
I grew up not far from the potteries & my mum loved ceramics so I am familiar with all the "names" you show us. What you have highlighted here & what I'm sure many people don't realise is that you don't actually need to spend a fortune to get nice pieces - it doesn't even matter if you buy "slight seconds" or end of lines - if you like it & will use it, buy it! You don't need to concentrate on buying whole dinner services including things like huge soup tureens you will rarely use, put in a cabinet gathering dust...cups & plates that you use every day can make drinking a simple cup of tea or eating a humble sandwich feel like a luxury.
Vielen Dank liebe Anneliese!
I inherited a love of fine china from my grandmother who grew up in Stoke on Trent. Her dream was to have three sets of dishes - one for each meal of the day. I absolutely loved your trip to the Spode shop; I could spend a lot of time there. Please do go back when they have a tea room. I can just imagine the collection of vintage plates and cups and saucers they’ll use 🥰
What a lovely treat touring the Spode museum and shop with you. I love china so much and have amassed a very varied collection mainly through many, many trips to op shops. I have a few pieces of the Spode blueroom collection and I treasure them. I don't come across a lot of Spode down here in New Zealand so it's always exciting to find a piece.
Every bit of this was fascinating! Those copper plates are art in themselves. I was delighted to "explore" the shop with you, and am looking forward to the new kitchen! Exciting❤❤😊 Love, Liz in Essex, Connecticut
Ooh what lovely things! I need to go there for a good rummage. My Mum had a load of blue and white Spode, but I didn’t realise that there were so many colourful designs as well. Thanks for a great video as always
I do adore the china videos! I love dishware. I have quite a collection of the blue spice jars also! You're so fortunate to be able to get a new lid to your teapot. I am in america - I have the wee blue tea pot like yours but I am unable to get a replacement here. I just can't bear to be parted from the teapot though. Thank you for the video!
Hello Kirsten & Joerg. Dovie loves your videos about pottery/ ceramics. We especially like the wildlife scenes. We both like pheasants. We just found two silver pheasant table decorations. We drink our coffee out of Spode cups every morning. Thanks for sharing. Cheers Ron and Dovie
Call how I love love love love love love love this video what a dream to be able to shop at the Spode gift shop. I saw so many things I would just love to have and the prices were so wonderful. I just sent for a new teapot and it was almost three times the price of one of the ones you showed the $8 one I think and it was beautiful more beautiful than the one I paid more money for. You are blessed to live in such a country blessings and love from New Mexico
Hello Kirsten and Joerg, Thank you for the tour of the Spode Museum. You purchased some lovely treasures. I'm so looking forward to your new kitchen. I believe you are both so excited. Have a wonderful week. Take care. ❤
Hi K and J 👋👋 I do NOT know how you decide🫤🤔! I absolutely LOVED all the Floral Tea Pots. With my love for all things Jane Austen… I can see myself in a beautiful dress weary one of those darling Spencer Jackets serving Tea. I guess I’m a “ HOPELESS” romantic. 😊😊😊 IDK… all these beautiful ceramics speak about “ LOVE” and elegance to me. It’s a feeling. Those deep soup bowls are NECESSARY.. lol, YES??? Can’t wait for the kitchen to come and You will need patience to get through the mess??? 😊❤️❤️! Thx guys as always🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻
Hi Eileen, It's very hard because I want it all but it doesn't make sense so I love to look at things and enjoy sharing it on our channel. Yes, it will get very messy here in a couple of weeks.
This was a very enjoyable little excursion 😊. I loved the green and golden combination - but actually all of them were very pretty and nostalgic - and, to be honest, surprisingly affordable!
So glad you enjoyed it! I know, you find such treasures at amazing prices - can't recommend this place any more highly. Such a lovely experience with the vintage music as a background too.
Thank you for taking us to the Spode Museum! We love antiques like these! So beautiful! It would be great to go there. Fantastic purchases the two of you made as well, useful and beautiful! Looking forward to seeing them in your new kitchen. How exciting! 😄❤
Sangat menyenangkan melihat vidio anda, berkeliling melihat keramik yang cantik-cantik..koleksi keramiknya bagus bagus..❤sehat dan sukses buat kalian berdua..❤
Love it all I have been addicted to porcelain and china since I was young. Wouldn't like to say how many pieces and patterns I have - never counted (counting is for losers!) I never tire of the blue and white Italian garden pattern. Now I am retired I am trying to use my collections need to travel to Stoke on Trent Spode - on my bucket list.
It's so wonderful to find so many like minded people! You could visit all those gorgeous factories with their factory shops in Stoke-on-Trent and have tea everywhere too.
I am obsessed with art supplies (just placed another huge order today from Dick Blick here in the U.S.) the same way you are obsessed with SPODE CHINA! I always enjoy your Spode China videos, and I was so, so happy to see your Woodland collection again. It is so lovely! The tour was enjoyable too, and the prices were so reasonable for such beautiful, elegant pieces. I hope you find a replacement for your broken top easily, and I can't believe we are down to 4 weeks to your kitchen renovation. What a dream come true for you and Joerg. It will just be a short inconvenience to a heavenly new kitchen and laundry room. All the new treasures you have purchased for the kitchen will have found their perfect placement in their new space perfectly designed by you both. Looking forward to the renovation and will see you in the next video! Have a lovely time until then and may the renovation run smoother than you even imagined.
Oh how lovely to hear! Yes, the prices in the museum shop are amazing and you find such wonderful gifts too. Thank you so much - we are so exciting but are also dreading the chaos.
Hi Kirsten and Jorge, I love when you visit Spode. It is all so beautiful. I personally own the Blue Italian. I think the patterns from the 1800s, peasant ware, would fit into what Americans call Cottage design. Love it! I’m excited for you to have a new kitchen. Thank you for taking us along!
To protect the base of the new utensils container, I suggest keeping a small cloth inside to prevent any metal utensils scratching and even cracking the base.
Hello, I am a fairly new subscriber to your channel and have been binge watching your videos! Am in love with you two, you remind me of my husband and I. We are similar age and also do not have children because we were not able to. I wish my husband was more like yours tho. Mine likes planes, cars etc too much and not antique shopping and decorating much😢. I also love England and enjoy seeing it through your eyes. Thank you for your lovely videos. Love from Australia ❤
@ROSIEMOODY-b8g We have which is why we especially linked our ‘China & Pottery Playlist’ in the info box below this video but here’s the link for Emma Bridgwater for you filmed in the shop and cafe as one is usually not allowed to film in the factory itself): ruclips.net/video/Y2bFnWLuzvk/видео.htmlsi=kkXFsCi-mJzGQBpV

I think we are able to call Spode English as it is a very English brand, originating in the Potteries area of the Midlands.

Hello Kirsten and Joerg, Thank you for the tour of the Spode Museum. You purchased some lovely treasures. I'm so looking forward to your new kitchen. I believe you are both so excited. Have a wonderful week. Take care. ❤
Thank you so so much! Have a lovely rest of the week too.
Hi K and J 👋👋
I do NOT know how you decide🫤🤔!
I absolutely LOVED all the Floral Tea Pots. With my love for all things Jane Austen… I can see myself in a beautiful dress weary one of those darling Spencer Jackets serving Tea. I guess I’m a “ HOPELESS” romantic. 😊😊😊
IDK… all these beautiful ceramics speak about “ LOVE” and elegance to me.
I have an absolute passion for blue and white china too 💙🤍. Thank you for showing us the blue room 💙! It’s all so heavenly!
Yay, I'm so happy to hear that!

Yay! Thank you!
I just love the pink and lavender dishes.
Your old kitchen is beautiful. I am excited to see your new one. ❤
Thank you! We like it too but a lot of things fall apart and are very unpractical.
Love blue and white Spode!
Tank you for vidéo magnificent
You are very welcome!

You are so welcome!

I'm so glad!
Beautiful China. I’m looking forward to seeing your new kitchen. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you! 🤗
Wow, amazing patterns. This was so much fun. ☕️
Thank you! 😊
Thank you for taking us to the Spode Museum! We love antiques like these! So beautiful! It would be great to go there. Fantastic purchases the two of you made as well, useful and beautiful! Looking forward to seeing them in your new kitchen. How exciting! 😄❤
Thank you!
You are such great ambassadors for British products! Oh and your hair looks lovely too Kirsten, if you don't mind me saying so?
Thanks so much!
Sangat menyenangkan melihat vidio anda, berkeliling melihat keramik yang cantik-cantik..koleksi keramiknya bagus bagus..❤sehat dan sukses buat kalian berdua..❤
I'm obsessed with China too,I've been creating a four act Ballet about Wedgwood for years!!
OMG really?
Absolutely gorgeous!!!! Love Spode!
Thanks so much!
Thank you so much! We are so excited too but also dread the chaos and dirt but we will get there I'm sure.
To protect the base of the new utensils container, I suggest keeping a small cloth inside to prevent any metal utensils scratching and even cracking the base.
Great idea - thank you!
Oh you are so so kind, thank you so much!
@@KirstenJoerg Just wondering if you have ever been to the Emma Bridgewater factory? That would be so interesting
@@KirstenJoerg oh thank u so much can’t wait to watch that
