Lulu, I hope you have a great trip. I heard you saying you were planning to stay in Albuquerque. I am a native New Mexican and a law enforcement officer. While Northern New Mexico is a beautiful place and most of the people there are friendly and good people, the crime rate is high and auto thefts run rampant. Please use extra caution when traveling and camping there.. I want my state to leave a good impression, and most likely it will, but I also want to be sure you are aware of the situations you could face there.

Lived in Arizona most my life..just moved to Arkansas 3 years ago...we lived in Williams just 68 miles south of the Grand Canyon...there is a Whole Foods in Flagstaff..you'll do well for stocking up...have fun...beautiful state.Enjoy

Fairly new to your channel but fascinated to follow you on your trip. I’m in my mid 70’s and have a Toyota Sienna minivan that I travel in. My longest time out has been three weeks but am planning about two months for next year. I loved watching you pack your food. Lulu, I would say one of the reasons why you got sleepy was due to all of the carbs and sugar from the carrots. Causes you to get sleepy and take a nap usually about an hour hour and a half long. if you add more protein to offset the sugar starch from the carrots, it would help. Love your show.

If you want to travel through Montana and then down into Utah, I live in Paradise along the largest Wilderness Area in the lower 48. It's probably one of the reasons why I have not done with the van. LOL safe travels I'm loving your cooler thing that's the one thing I haven't purchased yet is the refrigerator I've only got an 800 watt inverter and at the moment no DC to DC charger.

I eat very much like you do. I used to follow the plan to the letter. I fell off the plan when my husband became really ill before he died. I moved... which at 70 was a horribly hard job. I've finally gotten settled into a routine in my new home... after 2 years. I'm getting back on my food plan. I'm vegetarian so I use beans and grains for my protein. Of course, most veggies have some protein too. I feel SO good when I stick to the plan. I have lost 18.8 pounds. I have about 40 to go! I'm so thankful I found your channel. You inspire me to stick with it!!!! Thank you, Lulu! I appreciate all the work you put into your videos. God bless you in your travels and your life journey!!

I like how you show us how you use your scale as a tool to help keep track of the weight you desire to be. When you lose too much or gain more than you want, you just make adjustments to what you're eating. You don't go off the wagon and just give up. Thanks for the tip!

Im so afraid of pressure cookers because when I was a child, I saw one explode in my mothers face. I'll never erase that image in my head. I wish I wasn't afraid of it as it would certainly be beneficial for me as I'm disabled and can't stand up in one place over about 10 minutes. My homemaker preps and/or cooks some of my food for the week. Im so excited for you lulu. I love going on trips with you.

I’ve finally started my journey... and after 12 days traveling the New England coast, then west across NH, VT, PA, NY, OH, IN, MI, I stopped in Wisconsin to get off the road a while and visit with family and friends... been staying on the most beautiful and bucolic ranch... even bottle fed new born cows! ❤🐮❤ Anyway, I get back on the road tomorrow, also heading to the desert of Az! Are you open to meeting up with subs? If so, is there an email or someway to contact you? I travel slowly, and visit lots of places along the way..so from my location here I’ve got easily a week before hitting Quartzite, then I plan to explore out that way throughout October.... so if that matches up with you and your friends timing I’d absolutely love to meet you guys😊
When I was looking for Vans, I found what I thought was a great Promaster City. The price seemed so reasonable for the time when all Vans were way higher than they should be. Upon getting there I noticed they had installed heavy duty suspension in the back and a heavy duty trailer hitch. I did not buy that Van even though I loved it as I just had to assume they were towing and carrying some heavy Cargo in a Van that was not meant to do so. I then bought a Transit Connect, way over priced , appeared to be in such great shape, and it was a total Lemon. I gave up. I now have a brand new Pacifica and after two months in it this summer in the PNW, I am absolutely thrilled that I pulled the trigger and got this new van. The extra space as well as being such an amazing and safe feeling Van to drive has just made it so perfect. In my life I have owned exactly three used cars, and each one turned out to be a money pit.
You are such an inspiration! I wish I had your will power! I bought a class b van about 5 years ago after finally deciding on what I wanted. My husband and I went on our maiden voyage and bam, got diagnoised with stage 3 lung cancer. For the most part I have given up carbs and sugar, but I do cheat at times. The van sits in the driveway now dead. My husband and grandson camps in the driveway these days. I'm still fighting the cancer. I live vicariously thru people like you. Been binge watching you.

Lived in AZ for 3 decades. Moved in January from Bisbee, AZ to Western NC. Enjoy your trip. Sprouts Market is an outstanding natural supermarket in AZ. There’s also Trader Joe’s. Yes, there’s Whole Foods. Yes, yes, yes you can get Japanese sweet potatoes at both Sprouts and TJs. Flagstaff, Phoenix, Tucson and even Yuma have very easy access to all the foods you packed.
Safe travels Lulu! Love following your journey cross country. We just returned from a trip from Ga, to Mn, Ia and Mo. Leaving next month for the Midwest. Visiting friends and family. We travel in either our Sienna minivan or a CR-V 4WD. It's so much fun taking your time, stopping wherever you see fit..love how you operate..lol FaceTime with your kitty, so cute. I did the Grand Circle Tour years ago. Rented a grand caravan in Vegas, got them to remove all the seats, signed the waiver and proceeded to drive it off road across coulees to the Toroweep North Rim of the Grand Canyon … young and foolish lol. Smart choice in bringing warm clothing too. The nights in Quartzsite can get chilly especially when the winds are blowing.

If you want to travel through Montana and then down into Utah, I live in Paradise along the largest Wilderness Area in the lower 48. It's probably one of the reasons why I have not done with the van. I eat very much like you do. I used to follow the plan to the letter. I fell off the plan when my husband became really ill before he died. I moved... which at 70 was a horribly hard job. I've finally gotten settled into a routine in my new home... after 2 years. I'm getting back on my food plan. I'm vegetarian so I use beans and grains for my protein. Of course, most veggies have some protein too. I feel SO good when I stick to the plan. I have lost 18.8 pounds. I have about 40 to go! I'm so thankful I found your channel. You inspire me to stick with it!!!! Thank you, Lulu! I appreciate all the work you put into your videos. God bless you in your travels and your life journey!!

Lulu, you're lucky the damage was found. Although you spent double for the van and now this repair, if it hadn't been detected, it could've been so much worse. ie. Run out of coolant, crack the head, etc. Have a great, safe trip!❤

Hi Lulu….I’m so excited for you on this trip. I love road trips and turning the radio up and singing as loud as I can. I’d like to dance, but that’s kinda impossible while driving. So I shimmy and shake and move my arms….I’m sure it’s s sight when people are behind me or on the side of me. I wish you were coming out to WA or OR, but maybe on another trip. And maybe by then I’ll be able to do some traveling also. I love to watch you prepare all of the foods you eat. Do you ever do anything with dried beans? Ok, prayers for safe travels. Im so afraid of pressure cookers because when I was a child, I saw one explode in my mothers face. I'll never erase that image in my head. I wish I wasn't afraid of it as it would certainly be beneficial for me as I'm disabled and can't stand up in one place over about 10 minutes. My homemaker preps and/or cooks some of my food for the week. Im so excited for you lulu. I love going on trips with you.

I love how well you pack your food! I’ve finally started my journey... and after 12 days traveling the New England coast, then west across NH, VT, PA, NY, OH, IN, MI, I stopped in Wisconsin to get off the road a while and visit with family and friends... been staying on the most beautiful and bucolic ranch... even bottle fed new born cows! ❤🐮❤ Anyway, I get back on the road tomorrow, also heading to the desert of Az! Are you open to meeting up with subs? If so, is there an email or someway to contact you? I travel slowly, and visit lots of places along the way..so from my location here I’ve got easily a week before hitting Quartzite, then I plan to explore out that way throughout October.... so if that matches up with you and your friends timing I’d absolutely love to meet you guys😊

When I was looking for Vans, I found what I thought was a great Promaster City. The price seemed so reasonable for the time when all Vans were way higher than they should be. Upon getting there I noticed they had installed heavy duty suspension in the back and a heavy duty trailer hitch. I did not buy that Van even though I loved it as I just had to assume they were towing and carrying some heavy Cargo in a Van that was not meant to do so. I then bought a Transit Connect, way over priced , appeared to be in such great shape, and it was a total Lemon. I gave up. I now have a brand new Pacifica and after two months in it this summer in the PNW, I am absolutely thrilled that I pulled the trigger and got this new van. The extra space as well as being such an amazing and safe feeling Van to drive has just made it so perfect. In my life I have owned exactly three used cars, and each one turned out to be a money pit.

You are such an inspiration! I wish I had your will power! I bought a class b van about 5 years ago after finally deciding on what I wanted. My husband and I went on our maiden voyage and bam, got diagnoised with stage 3 lung cancer. For the most part I have given up carbs and sugar, but I do cheat at times. The van sits in the driveway now dead. My husband and grandson camps in the driveway these days. I'm still fighting the cancer. I live vicariously thru people like you. Been binge watching you.

Lived in AZ for 3 decades. Moved in January from Bisbee, AZ to Western NC. Enjoy your trip. Sprouts Market is an outstanding natural supermarket in AZ. There’s also Trader Joe’s. Yes, there’s Whole Foods. Yes, yes, yes you can get Japanese sweet potatoes at both Sprouts and TJs. Flagstaff, Phoenix, Tucson and even Yuma have very easy access to all the foods you packed.
I think it’s the trip to AZ she’s worried about lol

Safe travels Lulu! Love following your journey cross country. We just returned from a trip from Ga, to Mn, Ia and Mo. Leaving next month for the Midwest. Visiting friends and family. We travel in either our Sienna minivan or a CR-V 4WD. It's so much fun taking your time, stopping wherever you see fit..love how you operate..lol FaceTime with your kitty, so cute. I did the Grand Circle Tour years ago. Rented a grand caravan in Vegas, got them to remove all the seats, signed the waiver and proceeded to drive it off road across coulees to the Toroweep North Rim of the Grand Canyon … young and foolish lol.
