The idea of Jason having PTSD is something that I think adds a lot to his character, whether it be PTSD from Joker himself, or even from the Lazarus Pit in this case

And, for someone who died in a gruesome way like Jason, the impact was unbelievably devastating. Alfred even said that he was having a hard time dealing with it even fighting against Batman and the Bat Family, but, he has come really far after a long period of time.
Ok, but can we appreciate how Barbara handled Jason's breakdown? After pausing the game so she could properly focus on him, she tried listening to him while validating his feelings. Of course, it wouldn't work that easily for him since he doesn't seem to like expressing his emotions, so instead of forcing him out of his shell, she dropped the subject and ordered him food (after asking him if he wants some, sure). Y'know as much as this game is meant to be about all 4 of them, this feels like Jason's game more than any of theirs. Literally all of the story beats match with his character.
This cast radiates so much TMNT vibes it hurts this isn’t a TMNT game. Dick = Leo Jason = Raph Babs = Donnie Tim = Mikey Alfred and Bruce = Splinter. Alfred as the caring side of Splinter and Bruce as the mentor side of Splinter.
7:03 seeing him hug Alfred just made me cry because my grandpa passed away two days ago and I wish I got to hug him one last time before his soul went to eternal peace.
I had an iffy opinion about this game, but seeing these cutscenes, I really just love the journey of the characters and the bonds between them all as they navigate an incredibly dark time in their lives, and they're called to be more. This level of heart is what superhero films need most right now.
1:47 this is the most wholesome thing I ever seen Jason do. He’s genuinely having a good time, as he should be. Especially after all the misery he went through.
This is Batman we're talking about. Not only would there be a samurai at his grave, but probably an alien and a robed wizard waiting in line behind him. 👽
What I love about it that Jason gave more time to others when it comes to emotional support, while Dick was goofing around. He tried to be there for all of them.
It’s kinda sad how they all learned how to reconnect and get along because of their one common lose which is Bruce. It shows they learned to mature without his guidance. Also Alfred’s relationship with all of them is adorable.
I actually do want to Olay this game now. Just seeing the family dynamic between them is so beautifully written. You can feel how close they are. I feel the most bad for Jason and he wasn't even my favorite until now. Seems like Bruce's death if you can call it that really affected them and seeing Alfred too is icing on the cake... damn it they got me. Whatever I'm gonna go pick it up right now

@@NormalSpeedGamer I'm genuinely curious as to what boss you're referring to, I've fought them all and found them to be incredibly poorly designed and tedious to fight despite the rest of the game being tons of fun
He’s the first and most experienced son and Robin, it’s up to him to lead these mudafudas to victory against a bad guy his Mentor struggled against and also maybe even Teen Titans leader syndrome where the leadership role just naturally drops to him with everyone knowing how capable he is and y’know…
I think it's more that he inherited Bruce's causes as the public figure he was. If you stick around Belfry for a while, you can catch him talking to someone on the phone about business.
I love how video games these days are taking more and more time and effort to try and explore how grieving processes work. It's not like you're sad and then you just get into vengeance and you're good to go. It's a constant struggle of reminders and setbacks.
The game leaves much to be desired, but still has fun to it But one thing the game nailed perfectly in my opinion is the characterization of the characters as they feel exactly like their cannon comic selves and the scenes with them interreacting with each other is really well done I would to be a DLC or update where Casandra Cain, Stephanie Brown and Damian Wayne were added in

Barbara: I know everything about you, Dick Grayson. You loved Flakies cereal, you cried when I broke up with you, and you check out your own ass in the mirror every chance you get. Dick Grayson, checking his own ass in the mirror later: Oh yeah, this is America’s ass right here.
I feel so bad for Jason and Tim, mainly Tim, I know all the stuff Jason had went through and I love seeing everyone trying to support him, but I ended up being a robin main around the time all those people got killed and I’m just sitting there like “NOO! TIM IM SO SORRY! YOU DIDNT NEED TO SEE THIS!”
The Batfamily moments are WAY too good for a game that dropped this unpolished. I really wish the story of the game had been released a movie or TV show or just released a game to more critical acclaim. This type of batfamily dynamic and content is on the level of the best comic stories and Wayne family adventures. I especially love how Jason is treated here and feels like an actual member of the family with real baggage from having freaking died.
This game was really my first induction in the DCU. I of course knew of the characters and had seen a few movies, but this game was what made me go deeper. Now I am slowly descending into madness as I try to hunt down every scrap of DC content I can find.
I know most of these scenes are sad and emotional but I can’t help but bust out laughing when I see the bug where the strings on jason’s hoodie stick out
All I can focus on when Jason and Barbara are talking about Jim, is the fact that Jason's hoodie strings are sticking straight out. Like, completely perpendicular to his body. 😂
@@babayaga6896 Oooof, I saw them and laughed too but I somehow didn't even notice they glitched in the same scene... I was busy laughing at her in distress and clearly sad but Jason doesn't care... He's like "Finally, somebody else who's angry!" and goes on his rant lmaoo
From what ive seen so far, Jason feels like if they wrote David from Telltale's The Walking Dead: A New Frontier right. He obviously wants to be a good person and even more so wants to be close to his family (in this case, the bat family) but he suffers from past events which still haunt him. He still acts out some times and shows some signs of aggression towards his friends and family, even if he doesn't mean it. He also gets worried that because of this, he'll end up hurting them in the long run. In summary, I really like how they portrayed Jason as kind of like an ex-navy seal almost. It's really well done!
I really like the dynamic between Dick and Jason in this game, it reminds me a lot of my own relationship with my older brother. Say what you will about GK, it was never gonna surpass the Arkham games. But it kinda makes up for it with the story, IMO.
If they bring Damian for the sequel I would love to see him interact with the others the cutscenes would be sad and funny to see him interact with Jason
Honestly, I wasn't quite sold on this version of Tim but it is growing on me. I find him... A bit too goofy for my liking. Like, the guy has always admired Dick, but I never got the impression he was trying to act like Dick like I get from this version. I love the moment where he asks Jason to shoot him to test the bullets. That is 300% a Tim Move.
This game hasn't got the respect it deserves its such an underrated game they did the story very good they could of changed abit like made the bike abit faster but one thing they did very well was portray Jason they used his character very well they got his anger and his emotions all in there and got everything right one thing they could of dome tho is made his hair abit longer
27:35 The scene is sad, yet amazing. But for some reason, I can't focus on anything other than the strings on Jason's jacket (I can't remember the name of those "strings") 😂

Love that they made him like this. It fits him and set him apart from Grayson more leaner finesse style. Combine those two and you get Bruce 💪🏼
This cast radiates so much TMNT vibes it hurts this isn’t a TMNT game.
Dick = Leo
Jason = Raph
Babs = Donnie
Tim = Mikey
Alfred and Bruce = Splinter.
Alfred as the caring side of Splinter and Bruce as the mentor side of Splinter.
They are even color coded as the TMNT XD
I say Tim is Donnie and barbs is Leo. Dick does goof around a lot so he can be mickey XD
Now I’m just waiting for a Ninja Turtles game like this
Mine would be:
Dick = Leo
Jason = Raph
Barbara = Donnie
Tim = Mike
Batman = Splinter
Alfred = April
There's actually a comic that has their worlds crossed over with Leo being nightwing and Raph being the red hood
7:03 seeing him hug Alfred just made me cry because my grandpa passed away two days ago and I wish I got to hug him one last time before his soul went to eternal peace.
My deepest condolences, friend. I'm sorry you lost him and hang in there. I can't say loss ever really heals, but it does get easier to bear. 🌺
@@RivkahSong thank you
May your grandpa rest in peace.
I’m sorry for your loss
That music is beautiful aswell
I love Jason, but that haircut...
27:50 His sweatshirt strings caught me off guard and I burst out laughing LOL
NO SAME 💀💀 ik it's meant to be an emotional cutscene but I was giggling over the strings
I had an iffy opinion about this game, but seeing these cutscenes, I really just love the journey of the characters and the bonds between them all as they navigate an incredibly dark time in their lives, and they're called to be more. This level of heart is what superhero films need most right now.
Shame the gameplay isn't as good as the cutscenes.
They didn't do a lot right with the game. They did the storytelling right though.
1:47 this is the most wholesome thing I ever seen Jason do. He’s genuinely having a good time, as he should be. Especially after all the misery he went through.
22:39 I lol'd. Thought it was a random samurai coming to Bruce's grave 🤣
It was
This is Batman we're talking about. Not only would there be a samurai at his grave, but probably an alien and a robed wizard waiting in line behind him. 👽
It’s so sweet that they all look at Alfred as their grandfather figure
What I love about it that Jason gave more time to others when it comes to emotional support, while Dick was goofing around. He tried to be there for all of them.
I love how they gave Jason depth and multi-dimensional aspects to his character here. They also showed that Jason does have a more human side.
I can watch these wholesome moment of the batfamily all-day and never get bored ..
Bruce failed Jason, but he never gave up on him or on any of his family
It’s kinda sad how they all learned how to reconnect and get along because of their one common lose which is Bruce. It shows they learned to mature without his guidance. Also Alfred’s relationship with all of them is adorable.
10:10 it’s used as a joke but Jason did go to heaven after he was killed by joker. He “fell from heaven” when he came back angrier than ever.
27:37 I couldn't take the scene seriously with Jason laced up like that or was he just happy to see Barbara

Ngl I'm really glad they stuck to their dynamic instead of making them be all dark, gloomy and emo. This would be such a great show!
27:41 I know this is supposed to be something serious, but the strings from Jason's jacket is making it difficult for me 😂
Same 😂
I’m glad I’m not the only one. Supposed to be a serious scene and then Jason with the strings😂😂
The beauty of glitching during a cutscene my friend
But why that happened I mean with the strings
Bruh I busted out laughing especially when he got up to pick it up 😭
I feel like they did a fantastic job on the story for this game and showing how they all get along after Bruce is gone
Whatever I'm gonna go pick it up right now
I don't know what Olay is but you should play this game
Game is great, one of the best boss fights in batman games, don’t listen to those crappy reviews who doesn’t even play the game and just go ooh 30 fps blablabla
@@NormalSpeedGamer I'm genuinely curious as to what boss you're referring to, I've fought them all and found them to be incredibly poorly designed and tedious to fight despite the rest of the game being tons of fun
Dick: everything he built is in my hands
Barbara: *i missed the part where the game was called nightwing*
He's the oldest. More felt responsibly
He's the first and had the most potential to be his successor. No wonder the pressure on him is too much now that Bruce is gone.
Hes the first son
He’s the first and most experienced son and Robin, it’s up to him to lead these mudafudas to victory against a bad guy his Mentor struggled against and also maybe even Teen Titans leader syndrome where the leadership role just naturally drops to him with everyone knowing how capable he is and y’know…
I think it's more that he inherited Bruce's causes as the public figure he was. If you stick around Belfry for a while, you can catch him talking to someone on the phone about business.
Jason and Barb having an emotional serious talk
No one:

I’ve been telling people for years now that the bat family should have their own tv show.
I love how video games these days are taking more and more time and effort to try and explore how grieving processes work. It's not like you're sad and then you just get into vengeance and you're good to go. It's a constant struggle of reminders and setbacks.
I'm glad they had Tim Drake, he's been forgotten in media lately.
Ya, but there’s one thing that has happened and changed him that I can’t except

The game leaves much to be desired, but still has fun to it
But one thing the game nailed perfectly in my opinion is the characterization of the characters as they feel exactly like their cannon comic selves and the scenes with them interreacting with each other is really well done
I would to be a DLC or update where Casandra Cain, Stephanie Brown and Damian Wayne were added in
6:55 Truely Worthy to see Jason Todd letting that Sadness out with a Hug by Alfred, you never get to see these types of Moments when the Tie-in Comic Book convert themselves in Video Games, Movies, TV Shows, will never let you see without messing it up or delaying it.

Nightwing is just too pure for this world
I love this dynamic in the Bat Family us DC Fans should see interactions like these more often in games and TV.

@@ionutalexandru9710nah that isn’t canon in this universe. Thank god.
To be fair, if I had that ass I would also do that
Convinced Jason’s the main character of this game
I feel so bad for Jason and Tim, mainly Tim, I know all the stuff Jason had went through and I love seeing everyone trying to support him, but I ended up being a robin main around the time all those people got killed and I’m just sitting there like “NOO! TIM IM SO SORRY! YOU DIDNT NEED TO SEE THIS!”
SAME OMG
It pained me to see Dick just casually toss a knife across the kitchen, I get they're all super detective ninjas and all but still.
The Batfamily moments are WAY too good for a game that dropped this unpolished. I really wish the story of the game had been released a movie or TV show or just released a game to more critical acclaim. This type of batfamily dynamic and content is on the level of the best comic stories and Wayne family adventures. I especially love how Jason is treated here and feels like an actual member of the family with real baggage from having freaking died.
anyone else hear a pop after when Dick said, "I'm fine" and rotated his shoulder? I felt that lol.
Now that i have hit 40 thats every morning for me. No health insurance in my 20's and manly ego caused alot of wear and tear lol.
This game was really my first induction in the DCU. I of course knew of the characters and had seen a few movies, but this game was what made me go deeper. Now I am slowly descending into madness as I try to hunt down every scrap of DC content I can find.
Though there's scenes here that have glitches and cuts I very glad you posted this. Thanks my dude
I know most of these scenes are sad and emotional but I can’t help but bust out laughing when I see the bug where the strings on jason’s hoodie stick out
Just love see the side character together, even the three robins being brothers :)
23:56. Low key emotional. Hits home for all of us
I'd pay money to see a bat family sitcom
All I can focus on when Jason and Barbara are talking about Jim, is the fact that Jason's hoodie strings are sticking straight out. Like, completely perpendicular to his body. 😂

@@Artryom ong that hoodie coming to life 😆
Jason gets alittle too happy when talking to babs
From what ive seen so far, Jason feels like if they wrote David from Telltale's The Walking Dead: A New Frontier right. He obviously wants to be a good person and even more so wants to be close to his family (in this case, the bat family) but he suffers from past events which still haunt him. He still acts out some times and shows some signs of aggression towards his friends and family, even if he doesn't mean it. He also gets worried that because of this, he'll end up hurting them in the long run.
In summary, I really like how they portrayed Jason as kind of like an ex-navy seal almost. It's really well done!
He definitely looks like an ex navy seal. Lol

Why isn’t there a Batfamily tv show just like this?
The opportunity is being completely wasted on that Titans show

Because it would be garbage.

Jason’s characterization & how he interacts is pretty close to that in comics. It’s not perfect… well… because even in comics they are not consistent with his character much like everyone in DC 😂😂😂 but at the core, he’s pretty close. I’m actually liking it. For me, Rebirth (before the 24 issue) was Jason’s peak characterization.
I really hate how the knights just HAVE to wear colors from their suits while dressed casually, like especially at the funeral, they all have their colored ties, why???
Power rangers reference ig
ninja turtles
You ever think that maybe their suit colors are what they arr because its their favorite color
Its maybe to new people to dc can know what character is who and they wanted to make them stand out in the crowd of normal people
...or maybe it's just their favorite color? That's usually what outfits reflect about you: what colors you like and other preferences. Or did you forget that Dick used to be Robin, and yet blue was never part of Robin's colors?
I wonder if this is all advice Alfred wishes he'd given Bruce.
I think he did give Bruce this advice, but he didn’t take it on board
