Janice Martell is an amazing person taking on this massive task. We bless her for all she is doing and has done for the miners who were exposed to McIntyre Powder and their families. I too have lost my father, who worked in uranium mines for many years. Janice truly loves and cares about the people with whom she is supporting who have been exposed to McIntyre Powder, as well as those who have passed away. She is a ray of hope in a dark situation of bringing the research and data to the forefront.

Super courageous lady. You don't mess with Janice Martell she is a woman on a mission and will not be stopped. Thank you very much. We had a very good trip to Mac master University, Great group we were with.

Your father must be so very proud of you Janice ... You are giving a voice to all of these men exposed to this deadly powder. Shame on those in power who placed the miners' lives in danger for gain and profit. You are amazing ...

My Daddy is in the hospital right now dying of Parkinson's and Demetia. My Dad. My whole world. I'm devastated. We are from the Subury/Elliot Lake area and my Daddy worked in the mining industry. He confirmed to me today that he was exposed to this powder for years. This warrants further research!

I hate the term "neurological condition." It comes off as euphemistic when you're talking about diseases which eat your brain from the inside out, gradually destroying your ability to do anything that you once cared about, engage in basic activities like eating, or even remember who you are. Most forms of torture can't even match that level of horrific. Bless this woman.

At least thanks to Janice Martel I will know what is going on when the dust is on it's last wave of eating from the inside out. When I look inside my father's ears all I see is black. His whole body just under his skin is an intolerable itch and under his waist in the pelvic area his skin appears darker than the rest of his body. I would assume the powder starts to settle in the pelvis area as he spends more time sitting during his senior years. Fungus looking stuff coming out of the nails. He himself would say even before he knew about Janice Martel's work that it felt as if "some kind of thing" is trying to escape his body. And my father was one of those who did not smoke or drink and who spent most of his time when off shift working outdoors, so he was getting adequate fresh air. He is 90 years old and still can beat me at chess, which signifies to me there is still a part of his brain functioning, but his bones and skin are bothering him. His teeth all rotted away and there was a bout with coughing and swallowing which went on for about a year. It would seem to me that the ears, throat and lungs would be the first things to be affected by the powder.

What a great kid to care so much, when so many did not. What was the McIntyre Research Foundation? Did they publish anything on what the powder was supposed to do. Did a large number of miners also smoke?

The miners formulated for themselves that the powder served to obscure the x ray readings so no conclusive proof could ever be made about Silicosis and therefore no Compensation would ever have to be paid out. I would imagine. The Captains of Industry knew the perils of working underground for precious metals. Janice Martel's father had this powder mixed with the effects of working with Uranium. That must be very different, perhaps even worse effects that the miners would have who worked underground with precious metals.

I'm shocked that only 16,000 views of this have taken place.
Things like this that companies have done and are still doing to their employees is outrageous.
    Where is the government protection?
Just because these companies are giving people jobs, is no excuse to let companies get away with anything having to do with harming their own employees or the general public in any way.
We humans only get one lifetime.
Our governments should be helping protect every one of us. NO EXCUSES.

And the families have the right to know if the illnesses these men ended up with were from the dust or is it hereditary? Are they going to get it too?
