- www.myol66.com This video covers the installation of rocker panel molding on a 1966 Ford Mustang Coupe. Installation performed by owner Stuart Hoover who is not a professional mechanic. I made this video because I could not find any video covering the install and hope it helps other weekend gear heads like me!
Thanks so much for this video! I'm a also just a weekend warrior who just recently mustered up enough courage to swap the seatbelts for a 3 point harness kit. Now I'm stepping it up with these same moldings to my '66 nightmist blue coupe. The moldings were a great Father's Day gift and I will take my time for sure. Thanks again.
So glad I found your video. I ordered these mouldings (on sale, even), and to my chagrin found there are no instructions included whatsoever. We have a great Mustang repair shop, but they would include four hour$ of labor to install them.
I guess I'll need to pick up a rivet gun and find another how-to video for that.
Glad it helped. Really is not that difficult. Take your time and protect the Stang!
just picked my moldings up and thank you for the installation ideas, my 64 1/2 coupe is getting a present.
Your idea for the “template” was very caluable to us. Hubby i stalled both rocker trim pieces using a template he made. And just flip it to use on the opposite side of the car. Ours is a 65 Mustangcoupe
Thanks for making this video..
Thanks for sharing.
Great video, I wish though you could have filmed it actually putting the molding on though... but still fantastic information.
Where did you get moulding from an are they really think
Thanks!! Great video!
My buddy ( youtube name = orangeirocsmithton ) has a 65 stang and is doing this exact same thing tomorrow since he got a free set of oem moldings. Thanks for your very informed and easy to approach video! Highly reccomended!
You did a very good job alining it up. How about showing how to remove the quarter panel chrome...on a 66..
Little hands and thin arms though the interior quarter window mechanism. Getting it off isn't nearly as difficult as getting it back on
looks great!
Nice, what size tires are those?
tumbs up man! tnx.
