Bill is going to be missed. He always has great clear videos.
great vid...you could touch up the hole with paint or spray rust proofing into the sill.
Thank you, good video
FYI, do not rivet in the top and then drill outthe bottom as suggested. HIGH likelyhood of breaking the clip if you're not very very careful.
yes, a better idea is after drilling the top hole hold the clip in place with a small screw, mark the bottom take the clip off than drill it.
Install the front and rear clip then snap a line for the rest
What about painting the freshly drilled holes. Won’t the rocker panel rust out without sealing the drilled holes?
The rivits will seal the holes when you put them on.
Are you using the 1/4" drill bit to drill out the front stud hole?
I bought these to fix them on my 1970 fastback
I would say move the first one on to 3 inch an then do the 13 inches because if someone welded up the holes its hard to drill them
Wish someone made these for the 67 Thunderbird
Great Video, one question, the holes to be drilled below the door does the same measurements apply to a 1965 mustang?
+kepaloha I would guess they are different on the 65.
instaBlaster.
So where do you get the tool to install the pins like a staple gun ?
Its a rivet gun. Amazon, local hardware or big box store.
did the fastback have this?
Yes
I bought these.......the quality is not great, one of them was almost half inch shorter but you get what you pay for I guess. Dont replace old stuff with new stuff if its not in that bad of shape.......
The quality SUCKS DONKEY D's... These moldings are pure junk.. I would suggest to anyone to search and find some oem factory ones.. PURE TRASH!
