I will have time to master the piano in heaven! Yay! We will all play the harp so no telling what else we will be doing in heaven. (In reference to the question about what we will do in heaven.)

did they not tend there sheep in the winter

Thank you for your question, Richard. Of course the shepherds would have continued caring for their sheep during the winter but it would have looked a little different. In the Bible account in Luke 2:8, it says, "Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night." The winter months (Dec.-Feb.) around Bethlehem tend to be very cold and rainy, unsuitable for sheep (or shepherds) to be spending the night out in the fields. The shepherds would likely have had their flocks kept in shelters at night so they could be kept warm, dry, and fed with hay or grain.

I once believed John and Jesus both were born in Spring., but now i see it in a different way.
John and Jesus both were born in the same year perhaps and in different seasons, so being John was before Jesus, could be that John was born in the early Springtime and Jesus was born between Summer and Fall.
Each of the four seasons have meanings. God will be the Eternal light in heaven and Jesus is the Eternal Spring.
    Just sharing my thoughts.

I don't read anything about life on other planets in Hebrews 1 or in Job 1.

Hi, @58degreewedge61, Job 1:6-7 says, "Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them. And the Lord said to Satan, 'From where do you come?' So Satan answered the Lord and said, 'From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking back and forth on it.'” This passage seems to indicate that the gathered individuals were representatives from different planets, since Satan expresses that he is there from the earth, ostensibly as a representative thereof.
Hebrews 1:1-2 says, "God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds." The word 'worlds' comes from the Greek word aiones, which is translated variously as 'worlds', 'ages', or 'aeons'. If it does indeed mean worlds (as many Bible versions translate it), then it would indicate that God made more than one world, and the possibility that they are inhabited exists.
Add to that 1 Corinthians 4:9, where Paul says, "we have been made a spectacle [theater] to the world, both to angels and to men," and there is an indication that the lives we live are being observed by not only the inhabitants of this world, but also otherworldly beings.
And with the many millions of planets in the universe that God created, it would seem rather conceited of us to believe that we inhabit the only one with life on it.
In the light of this evidence, the possibility certainly exists that there is sentient life on other planets, though there is no indication that they have fallen like we have.

@@itiswritten I see those as less presumptive of life on other planets. I read them as angels and the first fruit saints in heaven. And other worlds are other planets not necessarily planets populated by other men. Creation was the creation of the universe in Genesis 1. Time, Space, and Matter all came into existence on day one. Men were created on Day 6 of that week. It is not conceited that we are the only men. It is a biblically sound understanding of the passages in Genesis. It seems rather juvenile to believe that challenges to God's will would only be a problem here and that human curiosity would only be a uniquely local phenomenon. Curiosity didn't even make it passed the very first generation yet other worlds never experienced rebellion?

@@bobbyhon3981 I see that as the unfallen angels. When would have these other world inhabitants been created? If God was finished on day six and rested from all His work, when did these other world men have been created? Multiple Adams? Multiple Sabbaths? I see the more reasonable understanding is just one creation.

The earth was created for men. The life on other planets is probably not human beings like we are.

People who love their dogs will have them in heaven I guess. But what about those who don't love dogs. And I hope there will be plastic bags for them to pick up after their dogs. Otherwise I won't be going for walks in heaven that’s for sure!
