Cain's wife has always been a stickling point for unbelievers. But the Bible does not say how old Cain and Abel were when Cain was banished. He could have been 150 years old. So his wife could even have been his great grand niece. The point here is that this was the first killing of a human because of sin. The rest will be revealed without conjecture on the other side of Heaven.

I’d like to offer one perspective concerning the last question. Adam and Eve had not a mother or father in the human sense as their creators as we have; so they were created by their Father Creator only; this they were are the vessels God used to pro-create humans. Therefore their offspring could be viewed as man or woman, rather than brother and sister. So, they had men and women, they married one another the same way God married them. Now if the man and the woman’s offspring were to marry, then I would suppose that wouldn’t be kosher lol! But if the offspring of one family married another, then it is well and fruitful :) that’s my take anyway. . . God bless and keep you and thanks for awesome Q&A’s!

“Now on the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul, ready to depart the next day, spoke to them and continued his message until midnight.”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭20‬:‭7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
First day of week is Saturday or Sunday?
    Just wondering.

    • @darronr.desantis5098
      @darronr.desantis5098 Год назад

"The first day of the week" was Sunday, in the ancient Jewish & Roman weekly calendar.
There is much reliable or trustworthy written evidence of this historical fact from a number of ancient authoritative sources, including Flavius Josephus, Plutarch, etc., 1st century, A.D.
The Sabbath is Jewish (Old Covenant) & has never changed, & is still on Saturday, "the seventh day".
But "the Lord's day" (New Covenant) was & is still Sunday, "the first day of the week", the day of the week of Jesus' Resurrection from the dead.
John referred to being in the Spirit on the Lord's day", c/o Revelation 1.
And "the Lord's day" is also clearly written in Acts of the Apostles, chapter 1, as well as 1 & 2 Corinthians, as the specific day of the week when the Apostles & other disciples (the 120), early believers in Jesus as the Christ, gathered or "assembled" together to "break bread" of the Sacrament emblems (of bread & nonalcoholic "wine", Jesus called "new wine" or "fruit of the vine"/ unfermented grape juice--all obedient Jews were forbidden to drink any alcohol, especially on holy days, according to the Law of God to all Israel in Leviticus & Proverbs) of the memory of the Lord's Supper, & to pool their tithings & offerings, & worship & praise the Father & the Son, "with hymns & spiritual songs", preaching of the church leaders (Bishops).
The Apostles & other early Christians, in the 1st century A.D., according to The New Testament, & most churches, even to our time today, for the past 2000 years, have worshipped God & partaken of the Sacrament on "the Lord's day", "the first day of the week", or what we call Sunday, today, in Acts, 1 & 2 Corinthians, & Revelation 1, as now, "in remembrance of Christ's Resurrection", The New Covenant doctrine of Jesus.

      Hi Serg,
In Acts 20, we read about a wonderful meeting of the Christian church that took place in a city called Troas. Luke shares, in verses 6 & 7, "And we sailed away from Philippi after the days of unleavened bread, and came unto them to Troas in five days; where we abode seven days.
7 And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight."
So, Paul, Luke, and their companions sailed to the coastal city of Troas where Paul stayed for seven days. On the first day of the week (Sunday), Paul preached a message to them that lasted until (at least) midnight. It is important for us to understand when days begin and end in the Bible so that we can get an accurate picture of what is happening here. According to the Bible, days begin and end at sunset. For example, "the evening and the morning were the first day ... second day ... third day ... etc" (Genesis 1). "from even unto even, shall ye celebrate your sabbath" (Lev. 23:32). "And at even, when the sun did set" (Mark 1:32). Now, with the understanding that days in the Bible begin and end at sunset, this story begins to make more sense. Paul would have been preaching in Troas on the Sabbath (the 7th day of the week), as would be expected, and then, when the sun set that evening (the time of the week we would today call Saturday night), he continued preaching until (at least) midnight. Biblically, that occurred during the dark part of the first day of the week (Sunday), or again, what we would today call Saturday night. Paul preached for an extended period of time and a young man named Eutychus fell asleep, fell from a window, and was killed. Paul then, by the power of God, raised him from the dead, and then Paul continued speaking until the break of day (v. 11). Paul then departed and WALKED to another coastal city called Assos (v. 13) that morning after he finished speaking. It is worth noting that the city of Assos is 25 MILES from Troas. In other words, Paul walked 25 MILES, from Troas to Asssos, on SUNDAY morning, where he met the ship again and continued on his journey. If Paul had considered Sunday to be a holy day, he would NEVER have dreamed of hiking 25 miles on that day. To Paul, Sunday was a typical work day, just like the other days of the week. So, why did Paul preach to the group in Troas all day Saturday (Sabbath) and then all night long before hiking to Assos on Sunday morning? The answer is found in verse 25, "And now, behold, I know that ye all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, shall see my face no more." This was Paul's farewell message to his friends because he knew he would soon die as a martyr and he wanted to give them one last heartfelt message before he died.
Moreover, when it says the disciples came together to "break bread", it simply means they ate together, which was something they did daily (see Acts 2:46-47).
It is also worth noting that the phrase "the Lord's day" is only found in one place in Scripture. In Revelation 1:10, John says, "I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day." Which day is the Lord's day? We will let Jesus, the Lord, answer that for us. He says in Matthew 12:8, "For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day."
You may search the entire New Testament and you will find that the Bible never calls Sunday (the first day of the week) God's holy day. Nor will you find that the Bible ever changes God's holy day from Saturday to Sunday. This change was instituted by man, not by God. It has been well-known for the past 2000 years, according to Acts 1-2, 1-2 Corinthians, & Revelation 1:10 (in the Sacred Scriptures of the Word of God in The Holy Bible), that Christians since the earliest of them in the mid-1st century, A.D., worshiped God & rested & partook of the Sacrament of the Lord's Supper on "the Lord's day", "the first day of the week" (in the Jewish & Roman weekly calendar then & still today), or Sunday, remembering His Resurrection & New Covenant.
The early Christians did not worship God or rest on the "Sabbath" day, "the seventh day", or Saturday. They were busy on the Sabbath (Saturdays), preaching & trying to convert the Jews to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, in the Temple in Jerusalem.

    • @darronr.desantis5098
      @darronr.desantis5098 Год назад

The "Sabbath" day first commanded by God to the Jews through His Prophet Moses in the 10 Commandments & forever after to be observed (by the original Jews & Israelites, & also with Jews & Israelites today, too) is clearly written as "the seventh day", hundreds of times throughout both The Old & New Testaments of the Word of God in The Holy Bible.
"The Lord's day" is clearly first referred to in The New Testament Book of Acts, & all throughout the Epistles or Letters, & even in Revelation 1:10, as "the first day of the week", Sunday, kept by the early Christians after the 1st "Easter" Sunday & even today as Acts says "in memory of Jesus' Resurrection", then & after even up to our time on all European & American weekly calendars in English, today.
The "seventh day" in Old Testament & New Testament then & now continuing was/ is clearly on Saturday, even according to European & American weekly calendars in English today.
Its easy to tell the difference between "the seventh day" & "the first day of through week", & which one is which, by simply reading The Old & New Testaments of The Bible & believing what it plainly & literally says.

    Adventist christian vs cultural background.
As an African, I'm bound by the culture to continue my deceased brother's (any relative) lineage by producing kids for him with his wife. The wife is not required to get divorced if she loves her deceased husband's family. And being the only son and an Adventist in the family, should I continue my brother's lineage, and won't that be sin of adultery because I already have my peculiar wife but I'm required to helpmy brother or should I tell my brother's wife to get children for my brother from outsiders and won't that be adultery since they will be just helping and not a wife to anyone man she chooses, And if I tell her not to go either ways, won't I be against her natural desires, the fulfilment of her body needs and the gift of children.
For clarity, even if I have my wife it's compatible.
As Paul says in 1 Cor 7:39 A woman is bound to her husband as long as he lives. But if her husband dies, she is free to marry anyone she wishes, but he must belong to the Lord.
Now, this verse is quite incompatible with my cultural perspective of marriage, should I let my brother's wife get divorced or what should I do?
I'll very much appreciate your response to this .
I'm sorry for the length please 🙏 🙏🙏

Imagine how big the ark would have had to have been if the dinosaurs showed up and wanted in too.... ALSO I suspect that all the animals that came into the ark were babies, just barely weaned.

    • @darronr.desantis5098
      @darronr.desantis5098 Год назад

Noah must have taken a young pair of dinosaurs into the Ark: "seven pairs of every clean thing, & one pair of every unclean thing", which would have included all land animals (& that's what dinosaurs were/ are---Loch Ness Monster & others still sited in modern times--).
The word "dinosaur" was not even invented or used until relatively recently in history, in the late 1800's, A.D., just a mere ,150 years ago in geologic time. "Dinosaur" is modern scientific nomenclature, literally meaning "great, fiery lizard". They were originally thought to pack a "fiery" poisonous sting & had bright colored scaly skin, as they were reptiles.
Some Biblical words used for these creatures were "fiery flying serpent", as in Moses' time, & "cockatrice", & "dragon" (there are still Komodo Dragons today), & also "Behemoth" & "Leviathan" in Job were clearly huge Brontosaurus & Plesiosaurus (or "sea-serpent") dinosaurs according to their detailed, matching descriptions. Different terms for the same thing.
By the way, most even Christians & Jews miss this subtle linguistic or language fact, but a "serpent" is not a snake. A "serpent" by definition has legs, while a snake does not.
A "serpent" is an old Biblical word for a lizard, that walks on all fours.
When the Lord cursed the Spirit of Lucifer/ Satan the devil, in Genesis 3, who was possessing or inhabiting that particular "serpent" or beautiful, jewel-bedeckled lizard, which could stand upright on its hind legs mimicking a man, like everything counterfeit or illusory that Satan does or masquerades as, to mock the creations of God, whom he hates, only then were the "serpent's" legs supernaturally removed by God, & the former-lizard was transformed or corrupted, degenerated into a snake, that was cursed to slither away on its belly on the ground, not before.

There are ancient texts & old traditions that Cain's wife was his sister or his niece (his brother Abel's daughter). Some Old Testament, extra-biblical texts or pseudepigrapha record the name of Cain's wife: "Aiwas". Cain, his wife, their children, & descendants were all cursed with a blackness of skin by the LORD God, as a visible sign; a flat nose, & the inability to grow any facial hair. Leviticus 18:1The Lord said to Moses, 2 “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘I am the Lord your God. 3 You must not do as they do in Egypt, where you used to live, and you must not do as they do in the land of Canaan, where I am bringing you. Do not follow their practices. 4 You must obey my laws and be careful to follow my decrees. I am the Lord your God. 5 Keep my decrees and laws, for the person who obeys them will live by them. I am the Lord.
9 “‘Do not have relations with your sister, either your father’s daughter or your mother’s daughter, whether she was born in the same home or elsewhere.
Is it possible that Adam gave his own daughter in marriage to his own son?
I don't think he did so for the Bible says Adam was never deceived, 1 Timothy 2:14. He knew perfectly well the will of his Creator.
Genesis 4:16 So Cain went out from the LORD’s presence and lived in the land of Nod, east of Eden.
Cain fled after he killed his brother but still God was gracious to him.
Genesis 4:15 But the Lord said to him, “Not so; anyone who kills Cain will suffer vengeance seven times over.” Then the Lord put a mark on Cain so that no one who found him would kill him.
So Cain was all alone in the land of Nod east of Eden.
God never changes, anything He says never return to Him void. Isaiah 55:11 so is My word that goes out from My mouth: It will not return to Me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
One of God's early desires for man was to have a helper. Genesis 2:18 The LORD God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.” The only thing that God looked at after completing creation and said it's not good was for man to be alone.
This is my humble thought now, just like God created a wife for Adam, it's the same way God created a wife for Cain. If in this present times, it is not His will for man to have sexual relationship with his sister, I don't think if he permitted it in the past.
Numbers 23:19 God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?

BTW Did you know Abraham's wife was also his half sister? Gen. 20:10-12 Also BTW: Eve was made from Adam's rib. He called her "bone of my bones, flesh of my flesh". Both had the same exact DNA (even closer than a brother and sister). Seems to me that back then inbreeding was not the problem it has become today.

"The Plagues." When God had pronounced "cursed" to the first 2 humans He had created, the 1st and the only cursed uttered was the end of life, or death -- "you shall surely die." The cursed was declared by God in the Garden of Eden and by Adam & Eve failing to recognize God's Supreme or Deity status in the heavenly realm, all seed (the seed of the woman) is dead -- All human life is dead, the ancient cursed that still plagues us all today. This final decision of the Almighty, which permanently separates us from our loved ones upon death, is irreversible -- a temporary life experience on earth for which it cannot be repeated. The Lord Christ has said this: "When the dead rise, they will neither marry nor be given in marriage. Instead, they will be like the angels in heaven." (Mark 12:25). stay abiding with the Lord Jesus and be always in prayer. be blessed. may2023.

There's a difference between a lesser, temporal marriage "til death do us part" which is no longer binding after death, in Heaven, but they become ministering spirits, "as the angels are".
However, there is also yet another type of greater or higher marriage that is eternal or celestial, sealed "for all time & eternity", in the Temple (or House of the LORD) before the Presence of God, as in Moses', David's, Solomon's, Josiah's, & Jesus' time, that remains binding for this life & the next, without end.
The nuanced distinction between the two kinds of marriage can more clearly be seen in the original ancient Greek of the Saviour's words from the Gospel, as it was earlier written, before some Latin (Vulgate) & then English (KJV) corruption in translation, a little out of first context.

We have everything we need for salvation in the Bible as it is. Nothing is missing that shoud have been there. God has protected His word down through the ages so if anything is "missing" you are either accusing God of sleeping on the job or being complicit in working for our destruction. Neither of which is true, so please be careful with these suggestions of so called "missing books."
