I really like how we're seeing more of Bree in this series. She's doing an amazing job recording and making these videos. This is the best series so far. George is a superstar, I'm so happy you guys rescued him from the shelter ❤️
I’m so amused that Zak always builds up how hard a trick might be for dogs to learn, like roll over, and takes pains to say it may take weeks or even months to teach a particular trick, then George just gets it on the first try.
You, Bree and George have a special connection. It's more than a soft spot in your hearts for him - you truly love George. Inertia enjoys him too. Seems he is the perfect addition to your family. Episode 4 you said you have a 2-dog rule; I don't mean to be indelicate but your sweet furbaby Indy is 15 - you might not have her much longer. So if George is the perfect dog for your family, go ahead and adopt him. Best wishes. And thanks for another great training video.
You can totally tell because George frequently looks at Bree to check in (basically every time he looks at the camera he's checking on her). So heartwarming.
I agree as well. We had 2 dogs at one point, 3 years in age apart. When the elder of the 2 passed away we planned on getting another puppy right away, to continue being a 2 dog house and give our dog companionship. Sadly our second dog passed just 1 year after the first, her heart failed so its likely she passed if a broken heart. She never got to meet our new pup. We have changed our plans on being a 2DH and will probably only keep the 1 for the time. Perhaps when we are passed the current puppy stage we will get another and be a 2DH again.
I am a viewer and subscriber from the Philippines. Where I come from dogs like George are widely accepted by a lot of people that understand the breed, some of them are even seen as status symbols. But at the same time, they are also greatly feared by the general public for it's reputation as an aggressive dog that "locks jaw." The sad thing is that as a kid I was also taught that mentality by the people around me, that these types of dogs should be feared and avoided. Now that I understand the world better as an adult I now know that these dogs that I've grown to fear are such beautiful and loving creatures and that it actually just depends on how people handle them. I'd like to thank you Zak for opening the public's eye on dogs like George, your work is greatly appreciated. I hope George finds his forever home where he'll be happy and healthy for the rest of his days. I am loving this series so much! Never a dull moment with George. Keep up the good work!
I find that my dog gets very excited after a rain. As a human, I know it smells different. I can only imagine what it's like for dogs who have a higher sense of smell!
Love the way you said “our dogs are not machines.” Yes, they aren’t machines. Sometimes people forget that the dog has a personality of its own. They aren’t misbehaving but actually paying attention to the environment around them. I really like how George pulls. After Moira and George, I think Zak is getting ready for a malamute next 🤣🤣🤣
I think bow is becoming George’s signature trick! Every episode he seems to offer that trick and it is so adorable, but also I cannot believe how fast he is learning loads of other commands too.
I love how much time and effort Zak is putting into George. I hope this inspires some dog trainers to foster some dogs and give them a chance to a home by training them.
Love your channel and your videos. As a pitbull lover and long-time defender of the breed thank you so much for featuring these amazing dogs. The only thing that might be me nitpicking is to please be careful with how you use pitbull in the title. We have had to fight so hard against the public negatively lots of people might see the title and nothing else. A better title might have been "How to train a dog not to play rough with my dog" Again please know I think what you are doing is amazing and I feel like these videos are game-changers when it comes to the dog world. This is just a little tip from someone who been in the pittie world for 20 years.
I thought that as well. The tittle screams clickbait and reinforces negative stereotypes of these amazing animals. It kinda goes against what the whole series is trying to do.
I'm hoping the clickbait title draws people in and helps destroy the stereotype, since the 'incident' is pretty early in the video and it's clear George is all play and quickly responsive to correction.
Keep him!! He'd be a perfect staple on the channel to show people that other breeds, not just the stereotypical "smart" breeds like border collies, can reach the level of training of your other dogs❤️❤️❤️
He is not a pitbull.. this is a mixed breed bully if people stopped spreading misinformation then the real american pitbull terrier would not have a bad rap.. also zak ruined my dog.. i followed his technics and training videos only to end up with a dog who only wanted treats for everything and refused to listen otherwise until i switched to balanced training!
Lets be real, zak would never own a pitbull. He likes people to WANT to pet his dogs and think they’re sweet not be scared of them. Thats why he gets border collies.....even the tittle is clickbait because he wants to use the bad rep pits get for his advantage
@@Silenced-mi2hr He isn't a good dog trainer and it shouldn't be hidden away.. his dog was reactive to others and pulled on the leash when i was able to teach the no pulling with a puppy in five minutes by using pressure and release
I loooove the George videos. He has so much hidden potential and reminds me a lot of my own rescue dog. I’d love to see a more detailed video of how you introduced him to Indy and Inertia. I’ve been thinking of fostering and it would be great to learn how to manage those interactions when you don’t know a dog’s complete personality
With inertia ( I didn’t see indie) he desensitized him to the muzzle then had Inertia off leash and George on leash till he knew they were going to be good then let them both off leash with the muzzle still now there best friends indie I don’t know
I know that you can’t keep George, but I wish with all my heart you would!! My heart breaks just thinking / knowing he will not be with you in the end, 💔
Oh how AMAZING to see George learning the frisbee trick! I can't believe it has only been 6 days-WOW! He is so stinking smart and you both are truly dedicated to seeing him become better and better each passing day.All I can say is this is a wonderful series to see George go from being in a kenne to learning how to enjoy life! KUDOS to yu both!
You are sooooo good with him haha. It's great to watch. The combination of a really strong trainer and a really smart and motivated dog is something to behold.
Thank you for showing George to the world because he is such an amazing ambassador for pit bulls 💕. He’s soooo smart it’s so cool to watch his training!
To me in this series of training videos you have done an amazing job showing people a new side of the pitbull breed of dogs that most don't ever even think about because there is so much negative stigma attached to these dogs and what a wonderful truth to discover that unless you have owned and loved these dogs your only knowledge is what the media {for the most part } portrays.also I am absolutely sure everyone watching wants to see the ending where you decide to keep this dog George as I believe deserves you.
I think you should keep him. Im 60yrs old and out of all the different breeds Ive had throughout my life my last 3 pitbulls have been my favorite by far….. hands down.
This is a statement of the obvious. Successful dog training is hard work. Your must be attentive, analytical, creative and energetic. Zak is very impressive and I'm glad Pit Bull George entered his orbit.
Love the reality videos. Really want to see more videos on greeting visitors like the one with Inertia on Halloween but MORE in depth. Watch every single video you make!
I train/foster rescue dogs that have extreme issues. Last chance dogs. Also a fellow border collie fanatic! I just wanted to leave a message to say I've been watching your channel for around 9ish years now. I have consistently recommended your channel for years as one of the best resources for accessible, positive training. To see both of your journeys with all the dogs has been so heart warming. I love that you're doing these series rescuing more difficult cases. I think it's so sad as I have ended up with some of the best dogs from the most extreme ("apparent hopeless") cases. Thank you for doing so much to push positive reinforcement training and being a pillar for our community!
This has by far been my favorite series! You've done tremendous work with George, Zak! You've given him a second chance at life that most couldn't or wouldn't do. My American bullies are much more challenging like George but I have a 4yr old bullmastiff that I've been trick training and I would love to incorporate more as he's so eager to learn and catches on within minutes! These are the tricks he knows so far and he can also read hand signals for them all aswell: sit, stay, down, up, paw, high paw, beg, sit pretty, roll over, hurt paw, tappy paws (looks like he's dancing),army crawl, speak, whisper, he can say I love you, bow, hug, smile, spin, dive(in water), jimping through hoops and there's a couple others I'm sure I'm forgetting but if you have any suggestions he's always looking for somthing more challenging!
I have a four dog rule. It’s not easy, they are all consuming. My Australian Shepherd/German Shepherd mix is the one who plays too rough. I really enjoy this new series, Zak, adopting an untrained dog, possibly abused/neglected dog, from the shelter and working with it/showing it love and a good life.
Hi Zack, your wife has the right idea, KEEP GEORGE, I would be extremely concerned about George’s ability too become overly stimulated with another person you know they would not continue with the individual time and training George seems to need and enjoy. I believe it would be in Georges’s best interest if you kept him. Keep up the good work.
I completely agree with you. He can be a good rehabilitation dog and helper when zak takes other dogs to train. Cesar Milan has also his pit Junior and before Daddy 🥺....these dogs are amazing companions and assistants with rehabilitation. Yes George could stay a good dog if he gets adopted but what is the potential here if he stays with Zak? Don't let him go please ❤️🔥
@@northwestgirl930 Nope.. not my dog he needs balanced training.. i tried all of zak's methods but it only made his anxiety worse and he only did things for treats as soon as i switched to balanced training it was a complete change in him and hes doing great now
Yes be very picky with George's rehoming. He is one of a kind and deserves a human that can live up to HIS potential. It would be sad to see George with someone without the time or inclination to devote to keeping him smart happy fit and mentally challenged.
I found myself clapping for George when he was catching the Frisbees (not the first time). He doing great on his not pulling (for a pit) He so exciting to watch! Thanks Zac and Bree.
When you say for a pit: that's where I don't agree with you, I believe any dog has the potential to do anything. It all depends on the owner/foster parent/other of the dog. (Or other animal)
@@Silenced-mi2hr I agree any dog/animal has potential. (To pull or run ect.) and to learn anything. I think you perhaps misinterpreted what I meant, I was speaking of in my 20 years of experience of raising rescued and/or fostering & training pitbull type (if not trained when they are young) that a lot of them do have the tendency to pull in the beginning. Mainly because the are excited and want to smell, run and explore anything and everything. So do other types of dogs shepherds and boxers for example. They are big dogs strong and powerful so in watching Zak when George is pulling It is all so familiar to me. I know Zak is and has worked on this. I was just speaking from my personal experience with Pits (in particular). However every dog I have fostered and rehomed they all were well trained not to to pull but for some of them it wasn't easy getting them there. They are a very intelligent breed and really want to please their people/family. I already see that Zak and George are working very well on the pulling. I Hope this clears things up Blessing to you.
This series is a life saver, my gf and I are going to pick up George's twin (basically) tomorrow with a very similar story. Staffy the same size as George, minimal contact in a refuge for 7 months, same brindle coat and just as loving
I love when you call yourself out, like when you were practicing "heel"! It really humanizes the training process and lets us all see that is not all about perfection, it's about keeping going and improving incrementally.🐶💚
I just adopted a 5 yr old pitbull and just love him. I do need to train him more so everything does not become a struggle for domiance. He is such a lover!!
Zak, you have got loads of patience and it shows when dealing with George. As we all know there are people out there who’s patience vault is lacking and George being placed in the wrong hands could possibly result in major correction being used on him. I am very happy that Zak has taken on this boy and will inevitably end up with people or a person who just can’t stop training him. This dog is gonna be amazing. I would love to see what he’d be like as a dock diving dog. He’s got the power, the body type (slick) and the desire to please. Wow, this series is coming to an end soon and lets all put ours prayers together and send out to the universe, the perfect match for George. Wherever he ends up, and with whomever , this dog has nothing but greatness ahead of him. Thanks to you Zak and Bree, along with Inertia and Indy , George is surrounded by good energy.
I just got a puppy from a rescue. He is a Kelpie and crazy, adorable and so smart. Following your advice and I am blown away at how well things are working...even if there is still so much to do
We have an American Bully and an American Pitbull Terrier. It’s fantastic how easy it is to step between them when they get too rough. Just a nice firm “Too Real” and a step forward. They are some smart pups.
I don’t typically comment but I just have to say I absolutely LOVED seeing the back flash to princess Venus❤️ bless her heart and soul. I could tell the first time he caught that frisbee your heart went back to her and knew you’d be inlove soon. Love the projects you’re doing and have high hopes to see inertia excel as miss Venus did.
I taught my greyhound to leave things like that too, if I don’t give it to him he knows that he can’t have it, I’m currently teaching him to shake paws, and he’s doing well for an ex racer
Zak I’ve been watching this series and I love what your doing with George, he’s amazing!! I had a pit bull just like him, he got many ribbons for obedience and agility, he’s no longer with us, I miss him very much. Also I love your humour it makes me laugh. Awesome husband and Wife team! ❤️
Watching this series for the first time starting from the beginning. I just adopted a rescue Pitbull (thought I was getting a lab mix but surprise, surprise a Pitbull stepped out of the transport van..). Thank you, thank you for this video....I'm getting so much out watching George and Zak in action. Not only with training tips, but also helps me to embrace the Pitbull who is now in my family. This series is better than any TV series - great entertainment as well as instructive. I hope Zak an Bree decide to keep George - but I'm guessing they don't.
One observation for the sitting with distance. He seems to recognize the signal better when your feet are together, also leaning forward seems to make a difference for him.
Hi Zak, great series again! Next, could you train a dog with anxiety and fearfulness? Maybe even some fear aggression and resource guarding? My rescue dog is this way and he gets upset or too overwhelmed with training quite a bit. Keep up the good work!
I just started watching your channel. I've been using your tips on my bully and it has work. Im amazed . Cant wait to buy a Frisbee and try to teach. Havent seen your other video playlist. But would love to see viedos on dog stack for shows.
It must be refreshing and nostalgic to train George the Frisby tricks given your love for it in competition years ago. How about you go compete one last time using George lol!!!
I love this dog. I am on episode 6 of George the pit bull. I just bought a aussiedoodle Ash. She is 9 weeks old today. We are using your training methods. I bought your book today. Hi Bree. Good job guys
That’s really good work!!!! It gives me a little hope for my potty mix. She’s a handful, but I’m not giving up. Just gonna take more patience to get her on the same page.
Wow George is really like my Harley (4 year old girl, Amstaff) - not trained at all. Not used to stimuli! This video was really interesting and really got me motivated because she has got the potential of doing Agility and the multiple frisbees is definitely something she would love. One thing that is very different is that I have a hard time getting her attention with treats or toys when we are outdoors! But will try many of the things seen here! Thank you @Zak!
Just when I think I’ve watched my favorite George video, you drop another amazing video! Watching you train George makes me smile. As a fellow dog trainer, I agree!! He is a dog trainer’s dream! I love seeing the tiny progression he has each video and I love watching him work for toys!! And his ears!! Oh my gosh I just love watching his ears and tongue flap as he prances!! 😃😃 Awesome work Zak!!! I love this series so much!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰
I told the wife I will be 20min or so watching episode 1. Over 3 hours later and I am getting the look…… with one episode left I am thinking of running the gauntlet. Does anyone have any tips for getting comfortable in the kennel? Zac and team - this is addictive. Looking forward to the next episode.
Well it's nice to know I've been handling it appropriately when my Jorge plays too rough with my older dog Maggie. At now 5 months he's gotten a bit bitey of late. He doesn't hurt her but she doesn't care for it either.
I really wanted this video to be about "What to do when your dog gets too rough". I have this problem with my 6 month old puppy being too aggressive playing with her 2 yr old brother. This was a good training video, just not really about this subject.
I am really enjoying this training series, Zak and Bree you guys are amazing ! Your enthusiasm and appreciation for George is heartwarming and as a person who loves pit bulls you have my full attention . Thank you for picking and training George , I watch him with you and can see he really loves your attention and training .
The nice thing about using a verbal cue instead of that type of hand signal is that if you train a verbal cue you can cue from a distance. Luring or cues that look like a lure require proximity.

Also it took zak way to long to train inertia and it was honestly a embarrassment.. hes a pretty bad dog trainer
@@jaynecrafter2684 The rule I live by: if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.
I could watch that short clip of George air-pawing Inertia over and over! So adorableeee.
I'm watching this video with my dog. Everytime you say "YES" my dog look at me waiting for her treat 😂
😂😂😂
Woops. Maybe headphones for the dog might be a good investment. 😂 😂 😂
@@ChevysVixen 🤣
You have to keep him. He’s your spirit animal
This might be the smartest best pit bull ive ever see
You are sooooo good with him haha. It's great to watch. The combination of a really strong trainer and a really smart and motivated dog is something to behold.
You are the best dog trainer lm sure George is having a blast
George is such a lucky boy to have been taken out of the shelter by Zak. A fabulous series so far ! 😊
The intros though in every series get better and better! 🙂👍
Isn’t it the same in all the episodes?🤔
@@jordanoliveto5863 but I gets better in every new *series* not episode
@@inayakhanmarwat3343 oh okay
He’s so cute when he is trotting with his ears back. What a good looking dog!
I'm sure he's already found the perfect forever home but I totally want George!!
He's made so much progress! His impulse control is phenomenal❤
I've rewatched this series like 3 times and am still feeling the same happin3sss and still cryingggg😭😭😭😭😭😭❤❤❤❤
Im 60yrs old and out of all the different breeds Ive had throughout my life my last 3 pitbulls have been my favorite by far….. hands down.
My notifications worked. So excited to see George. THIS has been our favorite SERIES to date!
This is a statement of the obvious. Successful dog training is hard work. Your must be attentive, analytical, creative and energetic. Zak is very impressive and I'm glad Pit Bull George entered his orbit.
I really really hope his new owner is going keep up the frisbee training he is such a talent could see him in competitions in the future 🥰🐕
Well done George! Well done Bree! Well done Zak!
Probably every dog would be better off living with Zak, but sadly he is only one person.
I also hope he keeps George. I think they're meant to be together. I don't say that lightly as I know Zack can't possibly keep every dog he trains.
@@northwestgirl930 Nope.. not my dog he needs balanced training.. i tried all of zak's methods but it only made his anxiety worse and he only did things for treats as soon as i switched to balanced training it was a complete change in him and hes doing great now
@@thenanagamer7342 yeah, they’re meant to be together. Its even in the dogs name!
George❤️ best series so far!
George is so amazing at frisbee! 6 days and he's already nailing it! Can't even imagine how fluid he's looking now! 🤎🤍
I just adopted a 5 yr old pitbull and just love him. I do need to train him more so everything does not become a struggle for domiance. He is such a lover!!
I'm really enjoying cheering George on
Zak, you have got loads of patience and it shows when dealing with George.
Following your advice and I am blown away at how well things are working...even if there is still so much to do
I just freaking love this series!
Same!
As a man, that doesn’t watch sappy chick flicks. The is the greatest love story I have watched.
Wow! George is one smart cookie!! And so handsome. What a love!!
It's so refreshing you got a pitbull Zak ,,,, massive respect 👏🙌👌 . Love your videos mate
Love this series your doing amazing with George keep it up 👍🏼
Best series to date! Nice work George!
Hi Zak, great series again! Next, could you train a dog with anxiety and fearfulness? Maybe even some fear aggression and resource guarding? My rescue dog is this way and he gets upset or too overwhelmed with training quite a bit. Keep up the good work!
George is a lot like my pitbull/labrador mix, Rose. She is also a brown/white brindle baby! Happy to see some different ways to hone her skills 😊
literally binging this series PLEASE TELL ME YOU KEEP HIM OMGG
I just started watching your channel. I've been using your tips on my bully and it has work. Im amazed . Cant wait to buy a Frisbee and try to teach. Havent seen your other video playlist. But would love to see viedos on dog stack for shows.
It's so good to see how their excitement hit the roof working together. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Walking and filming 2 dogs!👍🏻💕🐶😊 Another great, informative video! Thanks, Zac!
It must be refreshing and nostalgic to train George the Frisby tricks given your love for it in competition years ago. How about you go compete one last time using George lol!!!
I’m loving this series and loving George! I get so excited when he catches the frisbees!!!!
Thank you Zak you are lovely and George is awesome. I think you should keep him 🙏🏼💗
I watch your videos to help train my crazy husky puppy. Thank you so much for your hard work
I love this dog. I am on episode 6 of George the pit bull. I just bought a aussiedoodle Ash. She is 9 weeks old today. We are using your training methods. I bought your book today. Hi Bree. Good job guys
George is so good because if you Zak. And also he is a great boy. ❤️ this. Thank you
That’s really good work!!!! It gives me a little hope for my potty mix. She’s a handful, but I’m not giving up. Just gonna take more patience to get her on the same page.
Love seeing that frisbee progression.
When you randomly check youtube and see that Zak uploaded a video 1 second ago o.o
I love this series so much, it has been my favourite by far!
This is the best comment ever!!! Thank you for binging 👻🔥
The segment on that subject was very thorough but brief. See 3:18- 3:55. It was subtly done, just as it should be at home. Consistency is key.
This controlled play is really helpful. Ive got a bully and were working on this too. Thank you for these helpful videos. Ps. George is awesome!
I literally just tried the "roll over" lesson with my 9 month old pit and he did it! Thank you!
It makes me sad just thinking about you all giving George up 😭 I wish you all could keep him. I’m really loving this series!!
Every time Zak and Bree maintain that they aren't adopting George my heart sinks a little...
I am really enjoying this training series, Zak and Bree you guys are amazing ! Your enthusiasm and appreciation for George is heartwarming and as a person who loves pit bulls you have my full attention . Thank you for picking and training George , I watch him with you and can see he really loves your attention and training .
We have aBernie’s Mountain dog mix with poodle and Zack helps so much to train him
The nice thing about using a verbal cue instead of that type of hand signal is that if you train a verbal cue you can cue from a distance. Luring or cues that look like a lure require proximity.
