I've never read a book so fast! ruclips.net/user/postUgkx1_veP7CApJK_GWy_TczaMciuG64PqJeU Learning about his dogs and experiences was just the icing on the cake - bed this book through and through. We're working with our new pup and Brandon's advise was just what I needed. Wish he'd just come and train for me haha but it's good for us and happy to have this new set of tools to use on our pup.
Seriously! Incredible filming and editing... incredible people they both are, and incredible dogs!! Especially George. I think, if you're ever going to break the 2 dog rule, he is the one to break it with!! After seeing your face light up more and more, and the intro that gets me to tears every time.... sometimes rules are worth breaking!!!! #GeorgeGeorge
Totally! Our 5 lb Yorkie we work to train daily. Thankful for Zak’s videos for sure but it would be fun to see him train a Yorkie. I’ve heard other trainers say they never listen but ours is pretty good.
I'm going against the tide here and say don't keep him. Not because he's not an amazing dog, but because I hope you'll keep training and rehoming other rescue dogs. Using your platform to eduacate and rehome these dogs, will do so much good in the end. You're amazing Zack (both of you)
They are amazing, i've had many dogs, some that have been rehoused, but what this is different, if we make Zak feel like he can't keep George then we are altering a relationship we're only seeing through a screen! It's so obvious to me that the relationship is different , it's a rare thing, I have it with one of my dogs, I have three, I love them all, but one in particular. He can keep George and still retrain and rehome others. This relationship will further his mission, this dogs is meant to be with him. I know this because I've experienced it, there is an emotional attachment that is obvious. This dog is meant to be with him.
Thank you for saying it! I won't be mad or anything if Zak keeps him, but I really wish that he would talk about WHY it's important to foster without adopting every dog too. I think the main reason why it'd be okay, is: it seems like Zak can handle and afford another dog, plus still train/foster other rescue dogs for series. It's based on a lot of assumptions however, since idk how it's like behind the camera haha
I agree! He's a wonderful dog and I'm sure he will make another family just as happy as he's made Zak and Bree. Zak said himself, there are tons of dogs languishing in shelters that would flourish under this simple short program. Not that George isn't special! He's so personable, cute, and clever! But more dogs need help!
I feel like Bully breeds are extremely intelligent, and people choose not to see past their tough exterior and negative stereotype. I have a pittie myself, and she picks things up so quickly it's insane. Also watching you train dogs definitely helps me understand your process better; it helps my girl and I be able to have a better communication.
Agreed. We also have a pittie, and something we've learned is that it's never too late to teach them new things. Our princess is 9, and she still learns insanely fast.
They are sponges for learning. The great (and bad) thing about bully breeds is that they’re huge people pleasers. They want to make their humans happy. Realizing how sensitive my girl really was helped us both understand each other more.
Also, the bully dogs need to go to a home where the new owners can continue his training with the exuberance that Zac has. Most people can’t do that if they need to work and have social engagements. As much as I love the breeds, I couldn’t take one and be able to give it what it needs.

Oh my gosh, I can't believe how different they are! I thought Moira was smart, but George is unbelievable!! What a champ. I love this series and can't wait to see the spectrum of behaviors/issues we'll get to see Zak tackle!
As much as I understand everyone that wants him to keep George, that's not the point of fostering, and if it keeps happening it'll either mean that he'll end up stopping fostering or keeping all of them which wouldn't be a good thing at all. The truth is Zak would be an amazing foster parent, because dogs that are obedient and know tricks get adopted way easier, so it would be a shame if he decided to stop fostering because he ended up keeping the dog he was meant to put up for adoption :')

George is a great dog. Thank you for showcasing a pitbull type dog. Rescued my pitbull 10 years ago and he is still the best dog I’ve ever had. Really hope George gets an amazing home.
Omg. I laughed....and smiled.....and laughed while George is doing his yoga poses as you both are chatting away. George is chilled. What a blessing you two are. Every dog (or cat) deserves to go to a home where they're going to be treated like family. There is so much love in this home. I hope George finds a home that mirrors that love.
We adopted our girl Nova a month ago. She's a 3 year old staffy cross, we don't know much about her background but indoors she's a very sensitive, obedient, affectionate and gentle, but on the lead she is boisterous and very reactive to other dogs. My partner and I have been watching your backlog of videos and want to say a HUGE thank you for the content you put out there! On our first few walks she was a mess, pulling and lunging constantly, and now she is walking with a loose lead 80% of the time, until she spots something really exciting but we're getting quicker at getting her attention back onto us and those incidents are decreasing. We're being consistent with training methods we've learned on your channel and she is improving so much faster than I ever expected! I love that your training takes into account and celebrates the individual dog and their needs, instincts and natural behaviours. Our girl is so sweet and sensitive and I have learned to let her be herself and work with her, not against her. We're especially loving this series because she has a lot in common with George, and it's so lovely watching his progress and seeing hers every day. Thank you thank you thank you!
We had a two dog rule until I found Nana our Golden at the shelter. Then it was a three dog one cat rule. Unfortunately she had to be euthanized two weeks ago bc of cancer. So George George is perfect for a three dog rule for you . Two dog riles are meant to be broken!!!!
Thank you so much for this! I found a Frisbee after watching this and my puppy was so excited! She loved it and she really had to use her brain to try and pick it up. Then she kept bringing it back to me 😃 I'm so glad I found your channel.
I hope we get to see more footage of you helping George with his fear response to strangers. I have a shepard/dobie mix with the exact same issue. While Ive been working with her for a few years and she has made some huge steps, I still have a lot of work to do with her. Just recently she has allowed 3 people she has seen fairly often finally pet her! Before no one else was allowed but me! I just want her happy and comfortable around strangers. Thanks for sharing the struggles of real time dog training with us. It has given me more hope and confidence in myself.
My dog just caught a freebie, did your technique, had him play first, we thought it was not for him, but he loved it ,will be going to doggie Beach later,we live in Boca Also taught Kane how to bow,he looks so cute doing it, thanks to you!
I love this! People see all these "out of control" dogs (mostly pits or pit mixes) in the shelters and don't give them the time of day! But in reality they're so eager to please and completely different out of that stressful environment! My rescue pit is by far the easiest dog I've ever had to train!
Yet another brilliant training series from Zak (with amazing camera work from wifey Bree - if I spelled your name wrong, my humblest apology!). Such a challenge you’ve taken on, mate - this misunderstood breed is prohibited in my country and it was only as recent as 4 years now that I am learning more and more about pit bulls. (Ignore the frenzied almost rabid noisemakers and do own dependable research via reliable, creditable resources that what I do). George is such a beaut - his brindled coat and those white paws. Enjoying your series, as always! So glad I found your channel and what a treat to see Bree pop into the video for her comments.. Lucky is the person who decides to adopt George.
11:45 omg that gorgeous pitpull has suddenly learned an immediate drop it from 2 mins footage earlier when he was just like 'pittie says no'. He's getting sassy for sure, haha, I'm glad Zak spotted it emerging so he can nip it in the bud, but overall it's lovely to see a shelter dog in the sunshine and the sassiness is a good sign at this point, I reckon, shows he's not in mortal fear from being dominated with orders, he's doing it because he likes his new family.
5 seconds into the video and I am already hooked...Thanks for uploading two videos this week. It was such a special treat. We love George and whoever gets to adopt him is in for a lifetime for happiness and the best companionship ever ❤️
Please keep these coming! We have a 4 month rescue pup. No lie he's identical to George. Training is going great, thanks to your videos. Tomorrow is the first frisbee day, just got it delivered. Thanks Zak and George too 😉
The fact that three days ago from this filming is AMAXING!! George would make a great dog for button talk training. Even training him for a disabled person because there is SUCH a long list for most disabled people around the world. Thank you for saving that young man.
I can't believe how similar George is to our boy. His temperament, mannerism, appearance. It's really helpful watching this series for ideas how we an keep on with our dogs training.
I am in love with George!!! Our boy has a similar personality: very strong and tends to pull, very protective and demonstrates a fear response when caught off guard. But so cuddly and loving when he knows and trusts you. BEST SERIES EVER.
Big shoutout to Bree doing an amazing job producing these series, love watching George and Inertia play. Just wanted to point out how much you see George light up[ whenever he looks at Zak, even if they are just training a leave it loo kat me comob, every time he looks at Zak the tail starts going :). Just show how much these dogs love people
Zack and Bree, you guys are amazing!! Did you notice how quickly you got the last 100K subscribers? It was less than a month! 🍾🍾 That’s fantastic!! I believe there is a real need for people to know how to train their dogs and you two are meeting that need. Of course, teaching a pit bull would be difficult for most people but you make it look so easy, which has probably why you have so many new subscribers. Congratulations again and keep those videos coming. Best wishes and blessings to you both!! ❤️❤️
dont know if anyone else noticed George's attituded when zak said look at me and george looked away..... this was a good lesson. i like that he was very much more comfortable and showing just how much he loved being there with yall.
I have the same dog (clone of him down to the white patches) we believe she’s an am staff. She was so afraid and timid when we got her but has made a complete transformation and is the best dog I’ve ever met. So soooo smart and loving and loves to learn. We love our baby so much, her name is jewels 💜 Also mine is the same way w strangers ... very fearful responses ... am staffs are that way I’ve heard. And she’s also a natural at fetching and bringing whatever it is right back to me. We got her at four months and she’s already full grown ... we somehow expected her to be more of a puppy lol
I have two Pit mixes myself... they are so smart, full of energy, sweet and goofy... I don't think I will ever go with another breed. I love the bully breeds so much. Love this series.
Love this video so much! Can you do a people training video for Frisbee? No joke, the hovering wrist-flick makes me realize I need a dog-training-centered tutorial on Frisbee throws.
My vote is that George needs to become George George. George would be best in your hands as a tool to show others what an 'unwanted' shelter pit bull is capable of. I work for a municipal shelter, and these dogs are truly a dime a dozen. All of our small dogs and cute floofy dogs get adopted or rescued almost immediately and at the end of the day, we're left with pit bulls and shepherds. Dogs that are commonly subjected to BSL and have a bad rap to begin with. You have a platform in which you can truly show and continue to show how amazing these dogs can truly be especially in the world of sports since they are so athletic and willing to please. The biggest reason these dogs are returned is because of either BSL/Apartment breed restrictions or because they are understimulated and become either destructive or nippy because they aren't getting the stimulation that they need. They are a powerful and energetic breed. They need mental and physical stimulation to be well-rounded and happy. They aren't a dog you can leave in a crate all day. But when their needs are met there isn't a more loyal or willing to please breed out there.
That's exactly the time I was going to post about! I am totally in love with his perky, flippy ears, and it is so enjoyable watching as he becomes more engaged in learning what you are teaching him. And his tail!!! All the wagging as he's learning. 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
This series is saving my life right now. No jest. Not a lie. Full-bore, for real. Just got a house and have been too stressed by the fact that my dog is a pit mix to move her in with me yet. Got a couple small dogs/neighbors in the new neighborhood that won’t like her breed. But she’s our therapy dawg. Need that lass to keep Core goin’. This series can help us do precisely that. Thank you, each- so much.
Amazing work! Love the series, you guys are great! Bree, thanks for making a appearance! Sometimes it’s easy to forget that you are there the whole time behind the scenes! 🥰
Absolutely love George You are doing a great job with him and yes I am enjoying every minute of your show . Who ever gets George is going to get an incredible dog .!
Abolish the two dog rule. I recently ruled out getting a Aussie boarder collie puppy because my one year old passed unexpectedly from a seizure. I was so distraught because I thought I couldn’t raise a puppy alone. Then someone suggested a rescue dog. I got her, she’s wonderful. And I have a senior dog already. I am so glad I did it. I may consider a third rescue as my senior is getting older and slower. Forget your rule. Getting the rescue really helped heal my heart. I’d recently lost my husband. Oh my this rescue dog was truly a rescue for she rescued me.
pits and bulls are the best. good job exposing the breeds potential and qualities. best overall well rounded functional and low maintenance medium size breed
loving this series, my scout will be 2 yrs in November, a massive wolfhound cross rescued from the pound, she is a covid pup and you would never know it she loves people loves attention and apart from eating her bed all the time is so well behaved, thanks alot to the drills ive learnt from george, everyday is a lesson and she loves to learn
Why though? I'm sure Zak has good reasons. I've got two dogs and I cannot stop thinking of having a third... Zak's rule made me worry. He must have good reasons though...
If your two are young, chill and vibrant, and they like a third young chill vibrant dog, and none of them show resource guarding or territorial behaviour, all good. But the more personalities in the pack, the more likely there's competition and hierarchy imbalances.
Aww I love seeing the connection you are building with George! He is such a good boy. He fits in so well with your family. You can’t even tell he only arrived 3 days prior!!
Loved seeing and hearing from your wife 😂tell her you love her lol 😆 I love seeing this really cute pitbull come to life with training and support from this family and I am excited for more content. As your wife Bri stated you have real jobs besides training dogs.... Well thank you for putting your time into a shared interest we all really get quality content and I'm thankful for the time shared to create something special.
SO Proud of George! l love seeing him progress. He s so smart. Great work Zak and Bree. I like hearing Bree respond to Georges triumphs from behind the camera. Can hardly wait until next week!
I totally get your love for George! I broke my 2 dog rule and "Foster Failed" my itty bitty pittie Inish! I just couldn't let her go! Awesome series, I really appreciate your working with rescue/shelter dogs 🐶♥️
I want you to keep George SO BAD!!!! C'mon Zak you need another man in the house! you're outnumbered 3-1!!!! Plus I'd love to see George in videos for a long time to come. Definitely gonna shed some tears if you do end up saying goodbye to this one, your connection is special. ):
I’m getting SO MUCH from the George series. We adopted a cattle dog/bully breed mix and he’s SO smart but has no training, so all the things that George is learning is stuff I’m teaching our new dog based on just watching Zak. I’m so grateful for this series!
Great !!!!! Have you seen any post where a few people are working with buttons that speak words and the dogs push them one by one to tell the owner something . You all have to find post like that you will enjoy them . You will so enjoy them . It would be cool to know what George would say if he had that button training .
Seeing how you subtly changed the hand cue when teaching him down without the lure was really interesting and helpful. It was a really good illustration of how to transition from one to the other.
First BIG 👍. Really nice to see how well you understood the George's behaviour. I'm really liking George. I wish I was around to see him actually.. !!! Nice work both of you. Will be waiting for next episode ...
I can see how much George is blossoming under your care and training, Zak, and it's wonderful to see! He truly is an amazing dog, and to see that he picked up frisbee so quickly is awesome! He is going to be an amazing dog for some lucky person! And also, Bree, great job with the videos!
I have a rescue dog and have been applying your training of him through me. I need to be more dedicated. The last two dogs from a life in the pound to being adopted is soo rewarding to see. Thank you both and can not wait to see more!
I’ve learned something new watching this episode while you were reinforcing him during his meal and he reacted to your cupped hand to go “down” (your palm was toward you) rather than following your pointed finger (your palm was toward George): Palm toward handler means “movement” of some kind, palm toward dog means “hold it” or “stay” of some kind, he was reacting to the “stay” (or palm toward George) signal!
Bree, you are doing amazing!!! You have the harder no glamour job for sure working behind the camera! Thanks for bringing us this series and helping me with my 3 year old (likely) pit mix who is reactive with the neighbor dog. It is not a fear response but an excited response. It is my goal this summer to get that under control. My plan is to rewatch the Moira series as that has turned out to be exactly what I needed. I feel like what takes Zak 3 weeks to train takes me 3 months/ years! Luckily I have the summer off to work on it! :) Thanks again for all you both do!!

Just recently she has allowed 3 people she has seen fairly often finally pet her! Before no one else was allowed but me! I just want her happy and comfortable around strangers. Thanks for sharing the struggles of real time dog training with us. It has given me more hope and confidence in myself.
I really hope you keep him. You love doing frisbee with dogs and George is perfect for that.
My dog just caught a freebie, did your technique, had him play first, we thought it was not for him, but he loved it ,will be going to doggie Beach later,we live in Boca
Also taught Kane how to bow,he looks so cute doing it, thanks to you!
This is truly amazing. I cry every time zak cries. I want for you all to adopt George. You’re incredible with him.
I love this! People see all these "out of control" dogs (mostly pits or pit mixes) in the shelters and don't give them the time of day! But in reality they're so eager to please and completely different out of that stressful environment! My rescue pit is by far the easiest dog I've ever had to train!
8:58 my dog would always have these out burst at nothing these series have help me so much!
Thank you for saving that young man.
also love how this series has much more personal tone of voice than the others
Towards the end of the video, George is clearly communicating that it’s bedtime. 😂
I love his little front white paws.
Like wittle ankle socks lol
So cute ♥️
dont know if anyone else noticed George's attituded when zak said look at me and george looked away..... this was a good lesson. i like that he was very much more comfortable and showing just how much he loved being there with yall.
I have the same dog (clone of him down to the white patches) we believe she’s an am staff. She was so afraid and timid when we got her but has made a complete transformation and is the best dog I’ve ever met. So soooo smart and loving and loves to learn. We love our baby so much, her name is jewels 💜
Also mine is the same way w strangers ... very fearful responses ... am staffs are that way I’ve heard. And she’s also a natural at fetching and bringing whatever it is right back to me. We got her at four months and she’s already full grown ... we somehow expected her to be more of a puppy lol
he is such an unbelievably smart dog
3:16 love the way his feet move when he runs
I have two Pit mixes myself... they are so smart, full of energy, sweet and goofy... I don't think I will ever go with another breed. I love the bully breeds so much. Love this series.
Love this video so much! Can you do a people training video for Frisbee? No joke, the hovering wrist-flick makes me realize I need a dog-training-centered tutorial on Frisbee throws.
I love how you really work with these dogs 🐕. Please please keep him
My vote is that George needs to become George George.
At 12:05 WOW what a beautiful boy. You have done a smashing job. Great work. ❤️♥️👏👏👏
That's exactly the time I was going to post about! I am totally in love with his perky, flippy ears, and it is so enjoyable watching as he becomes more engaged in learning what you are teaching him. And his tail!!! All the wagging as he's learning. 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Bree props to you. Work behind the scenes is just as important and I am loving this series. Especially with shelter dogs.
I would LOVE to see a video with smaller dogs from the shelter, it seems to be surprisingly different from what I heard.
That catch! Go George!
I’d be interested to see a series in which you work with a small dog.
Pit Bulls were once known as ‘nanny dogs’ because of how kind and protective they were of children ❤️
pits and bulls are the best. good job exposing the breeds potential and qualities. best overall well rounded functional and low maintenance medium size breed
Has George been adopted? I think he is Amazing! I lost my sweet Pitt, Kobe to Lymphoma this year. I thinkPitts are such a special breed.
I'm sorry for your loss. Lost our girl Freya to osteosarcoma a year ago. Hard to see them go.
@@songsayswhat It is so hard. Thank you, and I am sorry for your loss as well.
loving this series, my scout will be 2 yrs in November, a massive wolfhound cross rescued from the pound, she is a covid pup and you would never know it she loves people loves attention and apart from eating her bed all the time is so well behaved, thanks alot to the drills ive learnt from george, everyday is a lesson and she loves to learn
"two dog rule" - more what you would call "guidelines" than actual rules.
Nice, Captain Barbosa is never wrong!
This comment right here. We keep going back to three…
Why though? I'm sure Zak has good reasons. I've got two dogs and I cannot stop thinking of having a third... Zak's rule made me worry. He must have good reasons though...
@@VeeGKay I really think that Indie's age is probably a big concern - she's clearly a bit overwhelmed and just wants some snuggles and quiet time.
Rules are meant to be broken. Please don't let George go! Everyone will be so sad, including me.
Just binged this whole series today. Love George and can't wait for more!
2nd video this week… awesome!
You two three do a great quality job consistently! Thank you!
My name is George too! His progress takes my breath away!
I love your guys’ to-camera debriefs at the end. It makes it all feel so authentic.
Seeing how you subtly changed the hand cue when teaching him down without the lure was really interesting and helpful. It was a really good illustration of how to transition from one to the other.
Y’all are such a power couple! Love both of y’all! 😁
1:20 I love the fact that you let Inertia eat at the table lol
Oh my goodness, I just love George. I have a catahoula pit puppy who is almost a year old. They are such fast learners And so very lovable!!! 💜
6:25 This is why I like Zak. We gotta be real. Even if they're cute you have to keep this in mind.
First BIG 👍.
Really nice to see how well you understood the George's behaviour. I'm really liking George. I wish I was around to see him actually.. !!!
Nice work both of you.
Will be waiting for next episode ...
Believe me Bri, we all LOVE it
I hope you keep him Zack. I have one that looks like he brother and hes the best dog i have. Your the man and this dog is so lucky! Love this breed!
I can see how much George is blossoming under your care and training, Zak, and it's wonderful to see! He truly is an amazing dog, and to see that he picked up frisbee so quickly is awesome! He is going to be an amazing dog for some lucky person! And also, Bree, great job with the videos!
Im sooo blown up by the way u have trained dogs like him !!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
His wobbly ears melt my heart
Bree, you are doing amazing!!! You have the harder no glamour job for sure working behind the camera! Thanks for bringing us this series and helping me with my 3 year old (likely) pit mix who is reactive with the neighbor dog. It is not a fear response but an excited response. It is my goal this summer to get that under control. My plan is to rewatch the Moira series as that has turned out to be exactly what I needed. I feel like what takes Zak 3 weeks to train takes me 3 months/ years! Luckily I have the summer off to work on it! :) Thanks again for all you both do!!
