Watching Inertia's training saved my sanity with my lapphund. She's so active and your philosophy of tiring dogs to behave properly has been a life saver! She's probably the best behaved dog amongst our puppy circle. I'm still struggling with passing other dogs but small victories at the time.
Depending on tiring a dog physically is not a feasable method. Teach your dog calmness instead. Reward calmness any chance you get. Tiring a dog might be helping in some scenarios during training but you will in the long run possibly just worsen your problems because as you tire out your dog the body will adapt and you will have to do more and more to tire your dog out.
Update on Ace - I have gotten him involved in playing some of the games ruclips.net/user/postUgkx1_veP7CApJK_GWy_TczaMciuG64PqJeU and I can see a difference in his confidence already! My other dog played along and he became intrigued - now its a daily part of our routine - about 3 times a day we do the shell game and the muffin tin game. I am so grateful for coming upon your training techniques!
Thank you for the potty training tips! you just made me realize that my puppy is only having accidents (shes 16 weeks) in the two rooms we don't spend much time in which the dining room and the upstairs living room so it would make sense that she doesn't see those places as "her home" and if comfortable going potty in there
This series has been AWESOME for our new Aussiedoodle pup. Using your techniques, after just a week, he is totally potty trained (only accident was day #1), knows sit, stay, lay down and leave it!
My mother in law almost got rid of her puppy because it bit my son a little too hard. She called me all apologetically and was like “don’t worry I’m going to rehome her” and I talked her out of it. I didn’t realize until then how unreasonable people’s expectations can be about a puppy. Im glad you’re helping educate!
I own a puppy from the same litter you got Kona from!! So cool to watch videos with my puppy’s sibling! They look the exact same. My girl is named Paris :)

I’m a groomer, pin brushes are perfect for puppies because they have sensitive skin. For a puppy like a poodle (or doodle like Kona) a pin brush and greyhound comb will get the job done IF you keep up on your brushing!
Emily what do you suggest to your clients to on use on dogs that’s safe and organic that have white fur to get the brown and yellowing out? I'm getting a long-haired Chi, and want to keep his coat white and beautiful. Thank you
Thanks! I love how you talk through your thoughts. It is so helpful to hear everything you’re considering! We’re getting a new puppy in 2 weeks and I’ve been studying 😊
If Zak George respond I would literally cry I love him so much, he has helped me fully potty train my 3 month old German shepherd puppy with his past videos of inertia!

I love watching these videos! These series are so full of content and information that is easy to remember, but also so educational. I enjoyed Inertia’s series, can’t wait to continue Kona’s! I just wish these videos were up a little more frequent/posted sooner, however, I still love the content!
I am soooo happy to have found your channel! I have watched hrs over the past couple of days. I am getting a pitbull from a local shelter next friday, he is 1-2yrs, and I am super excited about training. One thing I haven't been able to find on your channel is introducing a new dog to a new home. I have came across similar channels, and they demonstrated 1st-day walk throughs for example, letting dog know boundaries in the home, ect. I'd appreciate being able to see something like this.

I discovered you when I got my dog Peanut Butter as a puppy (she is 4 1/2 now) and you really helped me so much the first year with her. We are getting another puppy in 2 1/2 weeks. I am watching so many of your videos currently to brush up on dog training. Peanut Butter is so good now but honestly I kind of forgot a lot of training tips to help with leash training, potty training, and important commands like “leave it” and “come.” You are truly the best!

Beautiful puppy, Kona means woman in Icelandic, i will get my first dog, a border collie puppy boy in december, i have been watching your episodes and i am learning a lot, you are awesome :)
My malinois pup never was in a house before but immediately took to potty training. He also doesn't chew on stuff or nip but he's reactive around new people and dogs.
Kona is doing great; look at her fetch! :D Inertia looked a little bewildered when she didn't get to put her nose into the pupbox or to have an exclusive try-out of all the goodies as she usually does with her own pupboxes =P. But after all she seemed happy sharing Kona's pink flamingo. And not sure if this is accurate, but I seem to feel that Indy looked more relaxed when meeting Kona than during her first formal introduction to Inertia; maybe playing with Inertia this past year has made Indy open up more, or maybe Kona is just so sweet that Indy immediately liked her :D
Her fetch is nothing special. She is a Setter crossed with Poodle for fuck's sake both breeds have this in their DNA. He shows some good tries but when the comment says she is reliable she starts running away and he cuts away. Coincedence. Nope. For examples how to really set your dog up for a good fetch watch some Stonnie Dennis for example.
@@DaveDEF82 My dear, thank you for the information. However, I love Kona like a child. Imagine your child inherited great music talent from you and as a toddler managed to make several bars of tunes upon his/her first tries at a violin, would you not feel happy from your heart and warmly praise and encourage him/her? Or would you professionally yet coldly say "nah, that's nothing, look at the many child prodigies out there trained by masters like so and so". Get what I mean? It's not the point to put down Zak as a trainer or Kona as a dog. I love them and enjoy watching them, so as a friend I made a comment like that. I would not try to dispute what you said about Stonnie Dennis, and would enjoy watching any good trainers work with any dogs so long as there is a good understanding and dynamic between the human and the dog. Relationship, love and respect are more important than performing fetch or any other tricks perfectly.
My previous dog (RIP :( ) would only pee in our garden, never ever poop unless she was properly ill. Even as a puppy, she was very good and mostly only peed herself out of excitement when we got home from school. The only other times she did go inside, she usually hid behind an object or where it was hard to see. Watching these videos to prepare for a new puppy in the summer. By then it's been over 13 years since I had a puppy, and admittedly my previous dog was the kindest, calmest and most gentle dog so I didn't really have any issues.
His voice sounds like a mixture of John Mulaney and Ned from The Try Guys - I love it lol. Preparing for my Border Heeler in April and I love this series so far!
Hi Zak! Since you have Kona who is a puppy, I was wondering if you could do a training video on how to get your dog/puppy used to walk on surfaces that are not stable, for example across a plank and other things. I would like to train my one year old golden retriever, Phoebe-Rose, to be a therapy dog and am trying to get her used to walking on/across different things and being around things that she might not see in the house. Really appreciate your continued series with Inertia and am looking forward to this one with Kona as well! :)

Great new knowledge
Thanks so much you are awsome and i appreciate you thank you!!!😄😄😄✨✨✨
I love your videos. Your a great teacher and I think you would make a good dad!
