Been hearing alot of negative feedback about the documentary. But you are right about starting with compilations. In 1983 when I was 6, I would ask my parents to buy me a Beach Boys album whenever we went to a department store. Little did I know they weren't actual albums. They have titles like, 'Do it Again' and 'Surf's Up!'. I still have these tapes.
Well done @BetamaxBlocker! I thought the documentary was pretty good - had some footage I'd never seen before - but certainly not exactly a deep dive on the Beach Boys history. Like you said it seems more for newer, more casual, fans.
nice look at the soundtrack, hope it gets a CD and vinyl release at some point, i have watched the disney doc and i have lots of issues but its worth a watch, but nothing for the hardcore fan but what i thought it would be, cheers man
Heeey Betamax! Hope you've been well man. I have to give the Disney Plus doc a go, sounds really interesting as does the tracklist you noted. I've been meaning to watch the Beatles doc as well. Hope you feel better soon!
Slowly getting there- some of it is allergies lol The Beatles Get Back is terrific and I'm glad they're finally rereleasing Let it Be. Loved your last Twilight Zone video!
I have tickets for two different Mike and Bruce shows. Might squeeze in one more if I have time. Sadly, Brian doesn't tour anymore and no one else is coming close to me. But Mike and Bruce concerts are very fun!

Someday, I'll do reviews of those tapes! They're lots of fun!

I still have to see it, but I'm glad I know what to expect going in!

can I ask what in it bothers you?
I'll have to watch the documentary, thanks for the insight about it. The soundtrack is fun; hopefully it will get a physical release!

You planning on seeing them on this tour?
it's only Mike and Bruce, there really is no "them' anymore

The digital release has changed! Very weird!
It did! I'll have to look into that and see if I can find out anything. Thanks for letting me know!
Disney ruined Star Wars, and now it ruined the Beach Boys! I hated it! I recommend the 1998 VH1 documentary Endless Harmony.
That's a good one! The soundtrack for that documentary is excellent as well!
@@betamaxblocker Yes! Soulful Old Man Sunshine, Sail Plane, Loop De Loop, Til I Die, etc. Great cd!
