I love Fr. Hesse; he can gently chide yet be extremely serious. Rip in peace with the Lord, Fr. Hesse.
Amen... Viva Cristo Rey Ave Maria...Fr.Hess pray for us. RIP
This was the video that tipped the scales when I was trying to decide if I should attend the SSPX chapel.
The joke in the beginning was what got me hooked to Fr Gregory Hesse.
Always love his talks, teachings and humors. RIP Fr Hesse.
A brilliant priest! Deo Gracias 🙏
Wine is very good for the soul! And sharpness to the brains! Proofvis in the pudding!
Brilliant
Pure water is the best of gifts that man to man can bring,
But who am I, that I should have the best of anything,
Whiskey, wine or even beer,
Is good enough for me.
I know people who say Pius X was the last Pope, but he’s right. It makes no difference to how I act. I follow the tradition of the Church, or try to!
Father Hesse
That's was the man!
Check 26:45 about JP2.
In vino veritas.
Hed a great comfortable life..lots of food wine travel training.. he was clever, so where the pharasises.. very clever but often proud.. liked his own voice.. but not always insincere or incorrect.. I'm an 80% fan !! May he rest in the PEACE of CHRIST
The pharasees had truth in what they said, they were not correct. Big difference.
@@10YearOldGirlProductions TKS FOR THESE REALLY BRILLIANT VIDEOS. I am grateful and its fantastic to have access to Fr Hesse and his opinions and teaching and catalog .. Yes I'm a fan.. ( no .. I don't agree with him on everything, yes like myself and everyone else he was human and made mistakes or was incorrect. . He was i imagine sincere no DOUBT. . I disagree with some of my best friends and associates , very often. .ITS sadly all too lacking in modern society the ability to think outside of the herd.. to have open debate without accusation of insult, or people snowflaking, , I DO AGREE FR HESSE WAS ...correct on lots .. well it's just.. theology is for, well nothing really. . JESUS said it best, , BE LIKE CHILDREN. . WAS POPE JP2 A HERETIC
IS ROME INFILTRATE BY SATAN.
IS POST VATICAN 2 ALL A HERESY. .
Are st faustiana dizry to be trusted ..
ITS IMPORTANT FOR SURE TO KNOW WHAT ORGANISATION YOUR SIGNED UP TO... for what it's worth.. I believe
WHEN JESUS ROSE.. he said , TEND MY FLOCK AND SHEEP..
IN THE ACTS .PETER JOHN, PAUL , STEPHEN ETC , BRAVELY PREACHed THE RISEN LORD ( So many died to testifie ) The first apostles ESTABLISHED the CHURCHES , read the letters of Peter and Paul to the early churches. .
( there is also a School of thought that says Paul was an Imposter following a fake messianic message. .we could go on .and on.) Theres lots about the modern church I like .. it's just I know it changes tradition. .and maybe we are meant to stay true to Paul's ascertaining
IF EVEN AN angel give you a new doctrine tell him to sling his hook... ! Paraphrasing
Hey I'll link you back a RUclips vid
Ex Catholic PRIEST Richard Bennett and his testimony. .. ( look him up )) he reckons The Roman Catholic church is an abomination just as in revelation... has been since Paul and Peter died...
He was 22 years a Catholic priest.
And I know many protestants and other faiths CONVERT to rome.look at kanya west !! ( now theres a globalist like thurnburg Greta and Soros all holding PAPA FRANK'S HAND. . maybe its all good or good for nothing. .ruclips.net/video/wr7RQ7sITV8/видео.html
The current situation of faith in the modern world seems complicated. But the truth is most often quite simple. To paraphrase Father Hesse, God is Simple our minds are complicated so we make God complicated. I am not saying that the truth is easy or clear. The best example I can think of is from C.S. Lewis, Mear Christianity, where he says he was once giving a talk to a group of airforce men and an old veteran stood up and said “I don’t believe in that kind of God. God is simple. Once I was alone in the Desart I felt God. He was Simple you make him complicated.” Lewis responds with A man who goes to the Beach and enjoys taking in the views, smells, and feelings and if he picks up a map of the ocean, it is just a bit of colored paper. The paper is the combined experience of many people better than our selves. If all we wanted was a long walk on the beach then the map might not do us much good but if we want to get from Dover to New York the map would be invaluable. In fact, without the map, you probably won’t get there.
Theology or the Study of God is not simple. Very smart men such as St. Thomas Aquinas (one of the Greatest theologians) or Fr. Faber, Fr. Hesse, etc.. Study for many years and receive special graces from God to be called theologians. We must be very careful one not be an armchair theologian when trying to follow the Truth. Human hindsight is much better than foresight and I suggest looking to the past to find answers to the present. This is not the first predicament the world has been in as the Pharisees crucified Christ or the Clergy that condemned St. Joan of Arc to burn at the stake. There are many more examples and lessons to be learned.
Above all remember the Law of God is written in our hearts, to quote Fr. Hesse, “if you want Heaven bad enough, you’ll get there”. Or Fr. Snider, OLMC, “There is a place in purgatory for those who don’t want heaven enough” and St. Ignatius, “Love God and do what you want”. If you truly love God, you will conform to His will.

Praised be Jesus Christ and Mary.
Now and forever. Amen.
HI I'm late to watch Fr. Hesse video but I knew about him only because I used to go to Father Perez's Masses.
My question is, what specifically are those things that you disagree with him. Just curious, because personally I find everything of what He said to be the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church. I am a cradle Catholic schooled with the Augustinian Father's and sisters teachings.
Thank you.
Pax.
Sorry that this is off topic, but how is he able to talk about this madam in 1:23 with straight face???!!!
Some people in the CC seem to have a very strange puritanical streak opposed to tradition, celebrations even Christmas & Easter. Father Hesse is right on point, love his response to the person who is offended by his glass of wine👍. God rest his soul.🕊
Celebrity ego.com
Why not? My dad was one. He answered questions with a straight face. One of his friends used to say 'He's brutally frank.
Who can point me to his lectures on Saint Jose Maria Escriva?
google it
What happens after 47:14
anybody know the end of his wine glass/ashtray analogy? Phenomonolgy of JP2 47:00
There's another clip where it doesn't skip. It would be titled "Fr Hesse: Questions and Answers on Tradition." In summation, just because it is used as an ashtray, does not make the wine glass an ashtray; it is still a wine glass. Scholastic/Thomastic philosophy would say the wine glass is a wine glass regardless of how it's used; Phenomenology would suggest it is, whatever you perceive it to be.
@@jaypoole8056 an answer by Pope John II?
Cardinal Who? 31:26
That would be Cardinal Mario Luigi Ciappi.
Thanks.
Who is he talking about at 15:30?
