I truly enjoy watching your videos. I started first watching resellers but when I found you, I totally started following you. I love when you pointed out your Bible and mentioned going to church. We have to be bold and never be ashamed of our faith. I love the way you use your thrifted items. I have been thrifting for years!! God bless you and I look forward to watching many more!!
Yes, sadly rudeness is everywhere, along with entitlement and dishonesty. It’s really sad. I was thrifting and found a mug for my daughter that I knew she’d LOVE! Someone took it out of my cart when my back was turned. It really got me a bit down about society. Then I spent time with my lovely daughters and was even more thankful we raised them right. 😊 I can’t change the world, so I focus on my family. I always say they’re my mission field. 💕

My heart stopped when I saw that Blue Willow, made in Japan, and definitely worth that huge $199 price tag. I have Blue Willow and love it. It's old fashioned but timeless.

I totally agree with you on the prices getting too high. I've been very disappointed with the changes in our Goodwill stores here in Indiana. They used to have 50% off for Senior Citizens on Wednesdays and 50% off on "color of the week" but not anymore. They STILL haven't opened fitting rooms up after the craziness of covid. Not sure what's going on anymore. But I still shop there cause I hate paying the prices at the big retail stores.

Hi Julie. I liked the basket, the Christmas quilt, the bunny dish, the riser, the little basket at 6:26, the red basket and the candle holder trio. Will you be trying to do that basket mantle display that you were thinking of trying last year for the holidays this year? I look forward to seeing your holiday decore. Have a great week!

You got a fantastic deal on the Christmas quilted throw. I quilt and know how much time and money goes into making one, especially one like you have that was quilted by hand. It also breaks my heart to think of the love someone put into making it and then ends up at a thrift store for so little. Just glad it was found by someone like you that will enjoy it and take care of it 😊
The toilet coffee cup would have made a cute planter with succulents in it for the bathroom. Gorgeous Christmas quilt. You handled the rude employee better then would have. I guess it was a good thing no little ones were around to get run over also! 🥲

I've got the trunk of my car loaded down again...have to get that stuff gone. I'm cleaning out. Having a Summer party here tomorrow with the Grandbaby's...they'll be headed back to school in a couple weeks. Gonna put up the water slide, One more time. Hi Julie, my thoughts when thrifting or going to garage sales, a item may very well be worth whatever the price is, but people thrifting or going to sales don't expect or want to pay such high prices. That's why we are thrifting. Thanks for taking me with.
I have a whole thrift store locally that’s filled with rude and unhappy workers, from experience I feel it’s likely the managers attitude and so I always try to smile and spread joy to the staff there. Here as part of our social security requirements people that are unemployed have to volunteer a certain amount of hours to things like charity stores, so I understand these people are likely struggling emotionally and mentally. I can choose to join their attitude or show them that the world isn’t filled with all unhappiness. I think you did the right thing, kindness while standing up for yourself is always better
Julie, I always thoroughly enjoy your videos, and I thank you for your content! RE: the employee. - my first thought is as a supervisor, I want to know when my employees aren’t treating clients with the respect they deserve. I feel like I need to let a supervisor know when something to that nature happens. But, as a mom of an autistic son, some people don’t have the social awareness they should and it must be taught. My son is 12 and we are doing our best to teach him those cues so that as an adult, he will still be respectful. However, I see so many of these kids like my son growing up with disengaged parents and they grow into adults without the awareness they need. If the worker has this issue, the supervisor could help the worker with it. If the worker was just being rude, the supervisor could address that as well. But they can’t address it if they don’t know about it. Its always a judgement call on whether or not I alert a supervisor though. But I think I would’ve said something there. If the person is truly just being rude, your comment most likely had no effect on her and she’ll continue to be rude unless someone addresses it that can make it important to her.
Julie, I busted out laughing when you went off about the toilet cup! 😂 I could see a plumber getting one as a gag-gift. 🤣 The quilt is precious especially with the oil lamp in the center! ❤️ Wheat is the color I'd use too, and your florals look beautiful with it! Great haul. 🙂
You need to look at the clear cake domes as cloches to put any type of vignette in. I use them for Christmas scenes. You can add snow and twinkle lights to them. It looks amazing!
Hi Julie oh nice haul. I went thrift shopping today. I found some nice things I know I paid to much but I have never seen a fire stove blower. It looks pretty old. I also found some of those restaurant plates and a few other things . All I heard from the hubby was do you really need that and my answer was yes I do. 🌻🐓🌻
Hi Julie, I love watching your videos! That Christmas quilt was adorable! What a great find! And, you handled the rude employee with such grace! Ugh, I need to adhere to your lesson about not handling rudeness with more rudeness. But, my Irish heritage comes out with situations like that and I probably would have told that girl to stick that cart up her arse! So thank you for reminding me that I need to change my responses!😊 Blessings from Kentucky!💙

I admire your self control in dealing with the rude GW employee. There seems to be an epidemic of that behavior these days, and it’s truly a challenge not reciprocate.
Julie, I laughed at the Christmas quilt. I bought one just like it years ago and I STILL have it! I think it was sold through Home Interiors. I admire that you didn’t get into an altercation with the GW worker. My parents always taught us to treat people the way you want to be treated. Great video and haul.
Hi Julie! It's even worse in grocery stores. I almost got knocked off my feet by a very fancy dressed lady just floating down the aisle. No excuse me or anything. It was like she was on a fashion show runway. Just "Whoosh!"😳. Enough with the venting, you got a great haul! I love the Christmas quilt and I really look forward to thrifting with you every week.❤
In my opinion, rude people don't apologize. I am a very kind person and something I learned is that people don't like kindness for some strange odd reason (my opinion). Because I work with rude angry people and they don't talk to me at all. In my opinion, rude people don't see that rudeness pushes customers and people away because people don't want to deal with rude unkind people. But it's okay I continue being my kind self 😉 and you continue to be your kind self Julie!! ❤️😉💕
Love the little Christmas quilt and red basket. Went to a thrift store today and was extremely disappointed. I had seen it advertised several times and it looked so great…..well Looks can be deceiving Thanks for sharing your ideas Julie
Dear Julie, the blue and white set of dishes is called Blue Willow. It used to be very common, and used for everyday. Now that it is popular again the prices have gone up like crazy ! When you look at old Westerns on TV look at the dishes they used. Martha-Ann from Oregon 😂
Hi Julie.. I have encountered rudeness at the grocery stores not so much with employees but just people who act like they are mad at the world and twice I have seen mothers encouraging their daughters to be rude. One day there was a mother and a daughter opening and smelling products at Walmart sitting in the aisle. I started walking the aisle and they did not move..even when an elderly couple wanted by. The same day I said excuse me twice so I could look at hamburger. The daughter was standing right where I needed to look and I said excuse me again and she did not get off her phone or move so I said excuse me and reached over them. The mother said she did not appreciate me getting in her space. I just moved on, We need to teach our kids kindness. I can not believe the little quilt was only 3.99. I loved the little basket. I called that blanket camel color for some reason..beautiful with your flowers you picked up. I have some of the made in Japan set that was one hundred fifty dollars. They have gone down in value I think. I don’t resell but go to estate sales and they use to sell for more. Now the second set were so pretty and I think worth the fifty dollars. I am so excited about your fall decor and just want to do things more intentional and with maybe brass or coppers abs might copy your blue and orange them. Thanks Julie for sharing all your finds. I think people like us truly love their homes. ❤❤❤ We are thankful for ours…it might not be big or fancy but we love it.
That cottage core lamp 😍😍i bought bone very similar and painted the flowers blue. Since the lamp is glazed i and the paint I used acrylic it can wipe off if I want.
The toilet coffee mug for someone with a potty mouth. I wouldn’t be polite to someone like that worker. But you have made me think, your polite reply made sense. Thank you. Maybe she was having a bad day. ❤
my mom loves all of your videos, she watches them constantly; just watched this one with her on the tv. lots of awesome finds, great thrifting. lots of love from brazil.
That’s a shame that person was so rude to you. Sadly, there’s a number of people who are miserable and feel the need to let everyone know. I hope it didn’t ruin your day. You’re right not to sink to their level and keep your grace. I’m glad you found some treasures too. ❤
The painting and ginger jar lamp are my style!! I would’ve snatched those up!! For any thrifters out there, if you come across comforters that aren’t your bed size remember you can fold it at the end of your bed as an extra for cold weather.
Completely agree with you about rudeness, we are living in a crazy world right now . I love the pieces that you picked up Julie , but thrift store prices are getting silly . I went to value village this morning picked up a beautiful glass vase looked at the price and was so shocked to see $29.99 I nearly choked on fresh air ! Have a wonderful weekend.
Good for you for bringing attention to what the employee!! And taking the high road😘 love what you said about the pillows- my mom use to say if I ever needed money I could sell some of my pillows 😂😂

Thank you 😊 I was definitely challenged. Especially since I was physically in the bin picking things up.
Great finds I really like the fabric you picked up for fall. Thank you for all the great ideas.
Thank you 😊
Love the quilt
Thank you 😊
Bless you I just smile when someone is rude!
Whew …I was definitely caught off guard!
Great advice. Our Lord told us to “turn the other cheek” when abused. You handled the situation well. 👍😊
Thank you 😊
Julie, I laughed at the Christmas quilt. I bought one just like it years ago and I STILL have it! I think it was sold through Home Interiors. I admire that you didn’t get into an altercation with the GW worker. My parents always taught us to treat people the way you want to be treated. Great video and haul.
Thank you 😊 it wasn’t easy! I was so caught off guard when she started pushing it that thing while my arm was still physically in the bin.
And love the Blue Willow I collect it as well❤️
Thank you 😊
In my opinion, rude people don't apologize.
Thank you 😊
Love the Christmas quilt.
Thank you 😊
Wow that was very rude! I’m glad you said something and don’t deserve that treatment. You always score!! Great video ❤
Thank you 😊
Love the little Christmas quilt and red basket.
Went to a thrift store today and was extremely disappointed. I had seen it advertised several times and it looked so great…..well
Looks can be deceiving
Thanks for sharing your ideas Julie
Awe man! Maybe next time.
Dear Julie, the blue and white set of dishes is called Blue Willow. It used to be very common, and used for everyday. Now that it is popular again the prices have gone up like crazy ! When you look at old Westerns on TV look at the dishes they used. Martha-Ann from Oregon 😂
Thank you so much 😊 oh yes. My husband loves westerns and I’m always saying look at that plate etc.
Thank you so much 😊 I do love my home. Imperfections and all.
That cottage core lamp 😍😍i bought bone very similar and painted the flowers blue. Since the lamp is glazed i and the paint I used acrylic it can wipe off if I want.
❤love the Christmas quilt you got I sure would have gotten it too, I am a sucker for oil paintings ❤❤❤
The toilet coffee mug for someone with a potty mouth.
I wouldn’t be polite to someone like that worker. But you have made me think, your polite reply made sense. Thank you. Maybe she was having a bad day. ❤

Awe, tell her hello from Julie! And thank you 😊
The Blue Willow Dishes were definitely worth the money. Just looking around the net I found a set for over $700.00. They are classic!
Yes I saw a set in my thrift store other day that they were asking $500 for it.
Oh wow! Nice to know. Thank you 😊
Thank you for the reminder, I needed that today 🥰
Good for you, Julie! Guess people like that weren't brought up right. Yes, so many rude people these days.
Vintage Southern Belle Nicole Cole has several pieces of those blue dishes. They are pretty.
That’s a shame that person was so rude to you. Sadly, there’s a number of people who are miserable and feel the need to let everyone know. I hope it didn’t ruin your day. You’re right not to sink to their level and keep your grace.
I’m glad you found some treasures too. ❤
Oh o was over it right after and enjoyed my Thrifting trip. Thank you 😊
The painting and ginger jar lamp are my style!! I would’ve snatched those up!! For any thrifters out there, if you come across comforters that aren’t your bed size remember you can fold it at the end of your bed as an extra for cold weather.
Absolutely on the bedding thank you . I do that all the time and it works perfectly. I love layers everywhere though lol.
That Round basket that you picked up. For a centerpiece to put your napkin rings in your sober, wear on or even. Coffee on
That coffee cup was hilarious 😂 My brother loves
his “ poop juice” and would have loved that as a conversational piece. Great video!
Lol Thank you 😊
Hi Julie, I agree with you about the rudeness, but I dont think I could have held my tongue and been that nice.
