I was going "YES!"when you said you enjoy thrifting just for the sake of seeing what's in the store. That's how I feel also. It's a hobby as well as a stress reliever too. I figure there are worse things I could be doing. Your granddaughter is just precious.
I really struggle to let things go because most everything means something to me 🤦♀️ not a hoarder yet but maybe one day 😂😂😂😂

You are so nice, I probably would have told that lady "whatever" and just kept on placing the Corelle dishes in my cart. Your granddaughter is a beautiful girl, she looks to be about the same age as my youngest granddaughter, they grow up way too fast. Thanks for showing us your finds and telling how you will most likely use and display them.

I love the things you find at your store. I liked the basket at 1:05, the taper candles, and the trinket box at 9:05. When I saw that you had gotten those placemats I thought they would make cute pillows too. Pet Mimi & Piper for me and have a good week!
Hi Julie! I am a reseller and I can’t keep the Spring Blossom Green Corelle dishes in my booth! I stock up and in a few days the pieces are gone! People remember their mama or granny having them! They love the memories. Have a wonderful weekend!

I am in the process of doing a declutter right now. I am an empty nester, but out of habit, still do a back to school declutter.
I love that you take your sweet granddaughter thrifting. I use to take my kids thrifting with me, and to this day they love to thrift. Mostly they like deals.

No one does thrifting videos half as well as you do!!! I LOVE the way you take us along with you, showing us items and prices and talking to us as if we're walking right beside you! I can't get to thrift stores right now, and I don't know when I'll be able to again. But meantime, your videos are SO WONDERFUL!!! I love the gravy boat and the basket so much!!!! Love this haul. I do my decluttering in the late winter to early spring when I do spring cleaning. That way when I start putting up my Christmas I can start pulling items I no longer want. It also gets Me ready for a yard sale in spring. I love the blue placemats and napkins. Nice basket.

Hi Julie. Your granddaughter, Brylee( hope I spelled that right) is so cute. I know she enjoys spending time and making memories with you. The blue soap container, I would first try just soaking just the pump in warm soapy water. It looks like the pump maybe plastic instead of metal, which can peel if your abrasive with it. I hope I'm making sense. Love the color and the detail in the glass. So pretty. I like the little recipe holder you have with the chicken and eggs. It is a lot prettier that the one you looked at Goodwill and thought about. I hope you and your family are enjoying summer. I live in Arlington, Texas and it's been brutally hot. I am just hoping and praying my air conditioner doesn't go out. It is constantly running and I have it set on 77. I think we may be setting a record for the hottest July. Anyway, I always enjoy you video's. When I go thrifting I always, Think about it in the buggy! That's really helped me out! Great tip! Take care and stay cool! 🧃😎
If you really want that Corelle pattern, you should buy them when you see them. It’s going to be hard to get a complete set because this is a vintage pattern. I use my Corelle everyday. My favorite is the “farm fresh” pattern. Look forward to your videos.🥰
agree…my Grandma gave me some starter dishes and I’ve added many other pieces as I found them.

That is how I learned, my Mother and dear Aunt Carol would take us kids in the station wagon and teach us about antiques and vintage, we were told to look with our eyes and keep our hands in our pockets, ha ha. Back in those days, we did what we were told 😂😂. Julie, every time I find ironstone, I think of your sweet self.

That Corelle pattern is called 'crazy daisy'. It is vintage and may be difficult to find an entire set. I have the plates and bowls in that pattern and use them everyday. love my Corelle!
On the soap dispenser if it’s not soap I would just clean it well then sand it with sand paper ( to get any lose stuff off) then spray with Chrome spray paint.

I declutter by giving some of my things to my family who can use it. I love thrifting for everyone but never want to stop so I have to recycle by sharing and redonating

Your Goodwills have good pricing seems like who ever marks my stores items loves to mark everything 3.99 and up on all small figures, plates and baskets thankfully some of the cashiers will give me things cheaper without me asking..I love that ❤❤ Julie thanks for all your videos and inviting us into your home for inspiration!!

Hi Julie. My grandma had the Corelle in that pattern. I’m so sad that I didn’t take them when they were offered to me. She had all of the matching accessories too. Now I find myself looking for them.

I obsessively collect Corelle. Whenever you find the individual pieces you want, buy them. Purchasing a full set is absolutely more expensive than buying individual pieces to make a set on your own. It's also getting harder to find them in the wild, because of the competition from resalers.
This trip reminded me of when my granddaughter would come to spend a week with me , I lived near several goodwills and we went thrifting everyday, I think she loved thrifting more than me !Loved the video and thanks for some special memories ❤️😇

Blue pump soap dispenser. Paint that lid back silver or white, black. Any color brass/copper would be pretty 🌹.

I am retired so it seems I am cleaning out drawers all the time but it just doesn’t stay that way for long. I was a yard sale person & I have things for fall, winter, Xmas & spring. Love to move things around. I also have a Polish Pottery collection & that is all I cook with. Our Goodwill has zero!
I've had a set of Corelle dishes for decades and still use them every day.
Y'all have such nice things at your Goodwill, and the prices are so good!

Yes the green floral set of dishes is what I’ve been looking for for a long time and can’t find any. I have only a couple of plates, and saucers . Would like to have a set of 12 for family gatherings.
The pump looks like plastic and peeling. So I would just clean with nail polish remover maybe sand a bit and spray paint with black Matt rustoleum paint. If that doesn't work just switch out your pump for seasons. Lol. 😊

I do a seasonal declutter and clean. Plus I am always gathering a bag of donations on a weekly basis.
*Julie, unfortunately the soap pump dispenser has soap buildup that has eaten away the thin layer of silver foil over the plastic. No fixing that. 😔You could use a silver paint marker to fill in the white plastic showing through, but it won't be shiny like a foil finish. Metallic spray paint isn't mirrored enough either. 😔 Check to see if the pump on your current dispenser fits and swap them. The blue 💙 one is tall, so it has a long tube inside, which you may have to switch out with your current dispenser so it reaches the bottom, if that one is too short. I save my pumps from single use soap dispensers or from dispensers I don't use anymore for just these types of situations and keep them in a zip lock bag in a little plastic bin in the linen closet so they are ready to use when needed.*
*My favorite item was the basket 🧺 - I was hoping you would buy that cutie❣️😊*
*Yes, the placemats and napkins are a Set. The reason they are a slightly different color is because the placemats have been washed in the washing machine many more times than the napkins have been, so they have faded a bit. Placemats are used every day, but many families only use cloth napkins for special occasions, so it's easy to see how that could happen. 😉 Just wash the napkins a few times with your regular laundry and it will help even out those colors. 😉😁*

I've gone through the whole house and donated bags and boxes of goods to a church thrift shop. It feels wonderful to get things out of the house that I don't use. I can't wait for your next video. Recently I got a trifold frame just like that one at an antique store. I love them and they just do not make them now. They set up so well and take less space. Mine was about $3.29.
Some crafters divide artwork into the 3 frames-I might try that idea
I have 3 kids (all grown now) when they were in school I bought those frames for their school pictures every year. They cost about a dollar new back then.
Equal parts Vinegar and water touch of dish soap. Spray bottle mix and it should clean you soap pump right up.
When i love the soap bottle, i go to Ross or homegood and i buy any cheap soap glass with the same pump and i use the pump and the soap.

When I find a soap dispenser that the top is not perfect I still buy it and go to the Dollar store and buy one from there & change the pump.
Hi I don’t know if anyone else has suggested it to you, but you could change the pump on the top of your soap dispenser for one you already have if the marks don’t come off the one it had with it.

We fo declitter before school starts. Kind of a state of the house thing so I can know what we have and don’t have. What we’ve outgrown and no longer use. This will be my last year w/kids in school (unless college). Transitioning in many ways.
I have that set of Correlle from my wedding in 1971! Wears forever! There are so many pretty patterns, but I have no need of spending money to replace the original. I occasionally snag an orphan in the thrift store, doesn't matter if it doesn't match!---I bought 4 sturdy fabric placemats from a discount store many years ago, attached to curtain rods by clip rings to hang over my 2 kitchen windows!

You could try fine grade steel wool with baking soda to clean that pump top. Or change it out with another pump top. I save my old pump tops or keep dollar store ones to swap out if one goes bad.

Hello Julie,I LOVE watching your videos and also love to thrift for me,my family and my friends. I'm not sure which video it was but you were asking how to get the white smudge off of the drinking glasses you bought . If you are just using them as decor you can take some vegetable oil on a paper towel and rub inside and out and it will clear all that off. But be very careful because it will be slippery 🤣. Julie, on the soap dispenser we have very limey hard well water with no water softener and I have found with dog bows and such that if you put the top of the soap container in a bowl deep enough to cover the item cover with white vinegar and water probably about a 4 to 1 ratio with the vinegar being the 1 part...soak for 20 minutes then check, if not soak longer, it also works great for shower heads and stuff like that

I went to dollar tree and bought blue plastic baskets with a handle on one side I bought stickers to Write on Make up hair lotions fingernails ect So all I need to do is slide it off the shelf pick out what I need and put it back in its place I did it before the first of this year so it's much easier and much easier to clean Did this under my sink of bathroom I put my dishes in the dish holder under the sink so I have more space on the countertop If my sink leaks I can just slide out the dish holder so much easier I recommend this for everyone Dollar General and dollar tree are combining together so they have items higher than 1,25 Two places in one spot I don't know if this is nation wide but it could be

That brass horn🥰 I got some awesome things today! I got 8 very, very old books for 1.00!! They were having a bag sale! Woohooo! Picked up a few other things, couldn’t believe it, don’t really have great days like I did today!
Seeing that recipe holder reminds me of the yellow plastic one I had eons ago😂 I probably would have bought the wood one, they are great when cooking and the recipe is held there for you. Yep houses do get that way, especially in summer when you’re just running everywhere! So happy you’ll be back on Tuesday!❤
