I think I can speak for everybody. We love it when you take items and change them into little works of art. I don’t wanna really call these items trash because I probably wouldn’t have done anything to the pie basket, the books were an incredible idea, and those wafer tins would really be great and not a lot of money to make some seasonal vases across the table or even use them as silverware holders for an outside barbecue. Thank you as always for your dedication to your viewers and giving us exactly the content that fills our soul.❤️
That doesn't happen often, I have seen her struggling with very large objects and none of the men there lend a hand. Maybe that's the Amish way, the women do it all.
Congrats to MB!!!!!! So happy for her that she's married and on her honeymoon. Your videos never fail to calm me and celebrate beauty and simplicity at the same time.
Beautiful pieces. I enjoy using clay molds as well. One hint I've learned is leave the plastic wrap on the green styrofoam. It's easier to re-use later.
Love these ideas but especially the books!! I'm going to do this to my sketchbooks!! To have something so beautiful on the outside of them will only inspire me that much more to draw beautiful artwork on the inside!!
God has certainly gifted you, Mary, to see the potential in second hand things and then to bring your transformations to fruition. It is a wonderful thing to witness such creativity!💗
Mary, I watch a young woman from Australia who does a lot of resin castings. She always makes extras to keep in her stash and they are hard and unbendable when she goes to use them. She heats them with a hair dryer and they get pliable again so that she can mold them around whatever project she is using them on. Maybe the next time your resin mold get hard before you get to use them, maybe try heating them. Hope that works for you.
Also, with the resin, if you heat it up a little with a heat tool or blow dryer it will soften the resin and make it more pliable. A tip I learned from another crafter.
If I have a rounded surface I will take the resin out of the mold a few seconds before dry and set it on the surface and form it, add blue tape to hold until dry. Then paint as you want
Mary I am new to your channel. God sure has gifted you with so much talent and creativity. Are these ideas all from your own mind or do you get inspired by others like I do. You are so indeed gifted. Thank you for sharing. I love them all and your music as well
You and your family are an inspiration of light and hope. Your video's got me through the last month of serious illness by Flu virus A, that put me in the hospital. I can't tell you how much just seeing life in a wonderful way helped me. God bless you, Mary, and The White Cottage concept. Your voice and manner of presenting video stories is a gift that God gave you, just perfect.
I love the pie warmer basket. You don't find them anywhere here in Australia. Would it have been an Amish made basket? I had read that they are quite famous for how well made and durable they are. I know I would certainly love one. Stay safe Mary
New subscriber. I love everything you did. I will never look at my tinware the same way again. Now if I can only get my craft room straightened out to start being creative.
Good Morning Mary from Tucson, AZ. I so enjoy these videos. I know they are time consuming but very inspiring. I think my two favorites are the books and sweet little lamp. (the strawberry plants look so life like too) So exciting to see all your amazing products! Congratulations on the growth of your business!
You always surprise me with you transformation of the items you update. Love all your projects!! I have been watching your videos for about 4 years and I am always surprised with your flips!! Love your videos and they inspire me. Thank you and God bless you and your family.

Hi Liz! Welcome! You're going to love Mary's channel! She is such a light in this world. You can't help but be inspired! We are; not only by her creativity but by who she is as a person. 💗 Wouldn't miss an episode. Her latest one has tons of creative inspiration. I LOVED the books. Let me know what your favorite was.
I was really hoping you would show some thing that can be done with a crockpot! I see so many at the thrift store and hate to think of them ending up in landfills. Please do in a future video include ways to make over crockpots!❤❤❤
Mary, the border is beautiful! Love the idea of the page table runner! Oh my goodness, the books are gorgeous! Love the cans, such an improvement! The strawberries in the tin were so sweet! Loved the stunning moss basket with the nest and birds! The pie basket is amazing! The lamp is adorable, I love it!💕💕💕
So many truly ingenous ideas, Mary! Brava! Wondering if you painted the bottom of the basket white, too. I think that would have given it a more finished look. But I loved all of the makeovers. 🙂
All great ideas for turning junk into treasure. Thank you for sharing some amazing ideas. The Lord has blessed you with such incredible talent to refurbish stuff. Great job!
Each of these turned out just precious and so fitting for the upcoming holiday. You breathe new life into these forgotten items and turn them Into treasures. 💕
Oh! Sweet Mary, you make everything look so easy and beautiful. I going to try and hope I can do the books, also going to do my silver planter like yours.
I can do everything you did today, but my problem is I can't think of what to do. That's why I watch your videos Mary. Love the lampshade. I never would have thought to put pearls on it. The painted books are lovely. I'm going to 'shop my house' for usable items. 😊
As always your projects turned out so beautiful. I mostly love the books and the pie-carrier. I'm so sad because I haven't enough room to create and decorate all these beautiful things.
Everything turned out beautiful as always. Question, have you thought about building a spray room for indoor painting? I'm sure you have space in one of your buildings.
Mary, I watch your films from Europe, specifically from Poland, I have watched all your films many times and I am always waiting for the next ones. I always admire your ideas and professionalism in what you do. I was captivated by the idea of books in this film. Greetings from Poland. ❤
Mary, each thrift item that you repurposed is adorable! The pie chest, lamp, moss basket, strawberry tin, books and the runner are ready to add the cozy factor to any home. I don't really craft much anymore but it so satisfying to watch you use your incredible vison to turn discarded items into beauty. 🌹
I just love it that you are impatient, Mary, because you do crafts that have a quick turn-around. I’m that way too, and really appreciate the things you do that don’t take days or weeks to finish. 😊 Love each and every upload of yours!! Keep up the great work!
Hi Mary! All the projects are great. The basket looks stunning. Love the books. The book page runner looks so cute!! Love the bird-basket net…cute!! Loved everything.
Thank you for always showing us how simple repurposing things can be. You always inspire me! I think my husband is glad I’ve found your channel. I keep trying different things because it appears simpler to me now. Thanks again! I love your channel. ❤
Oh, that lamp and shade speaks to me. I have never used a transfer but how lovely the book covers are. Well, really everything you do is unique and beautiful.
Love the way the books turned out. The lamp is really pretty too. A lot of great ideas for everything you re purposed. God Bless your beautiful family.
I like the strawberry plants so much, they’re so cute and vintage looking! I actually would have left the pie basket as is, I liked the wood look of it.
The vintage book paper liner was such a surprise to see. My favorites were the lamp and the strawberry tin. I could just see that on my screened in porch. How lovely everything was. Thanks for sharing.
You are truly creative inspiration! 🤩 I watched this one day while feeling under the weather ~ it was a soothing peaceful inspiring watch. I appreciate the easy background music and your calm voice. You're very creative! Thanks for the ideas.
I love thrift flips all of these were great. The lamp is so cute as are the cans the strawberries look real and the books are beautiful. I feel sometimes the simple flips are the best. 😊
Mary everything came out so pretty, I would have never thought painting a book and putting decals on it, and the basket LOVE IT so beautiful and how precious is that lamp. Thank you for alway letting us see things in a different and in a Mary kind of way❤
Mary, I love your candles! They are high quality and the scents are amazing, my fav is Lavender and Eucalyptus! I’m so happy for you and John and all you have accomplished together ❤
Thank you Mary for the creative ideas! Your videos are so inspiring. Often overlooked items can be made into something special! I love reusing items ! Can you possibly find items to make into picture frames? I love the old vintage frames. Thanks for sharing your talent with us. 💕💕
Thank you, sweet Mary for sharing all these neat thrifty ideas with us absolutely beautiful. You are so gifted and talented. Wow. I love everything you make. ❤️ Definitely my style❤ God's blessings 😊❤
I just love it when you turn trash into a beautiful treasure. That was a great idea with the books. I think that’s my favorite. The one basket you added moss to is a perfect basket for it. A I’m a sucker too for lights with a chain. I have several. Wonderful idea with the table runner. It would be great if it could be laminated. If something fell on it just wipe it off. Really enjoyed this video. So much fun n inspiring. ♥️♥️😊👍👍🌟
I'm always amazed at how you think and how you turn those thoughts into something so special.... love everything that you made from those thrifted items...take care, Mary!!!❤😊
Use your heat gun to warm your resin pieces to make them pliable. Apply some painter's tape when gluing until they're dry. As love your creations, your talent is truly a gift. Thanks for sharing and inspiring us. 😊
I was so happy to see another video from you. You have such a great eye for things - that while you're showing what you're doing to it, I just enjoy it so much. I wish you were closer, I'd love to take a candle and soap making class from you.
Everything is so cute! So enjoyed this video. The books are beautiful! The garden tin with the strawberries is so spring! Love the little cannisters are adorable! So inspiring! Thank you Mary. 🤗
Mary, you do have the midas touch when it comes to craft projects.. Anything you touch to repurpose looks much better than the origional.... You do have a God-given talent.
The projects have a nice spring feel today. I'm counting down the days till March 19, even tho we've been known to get snowstorms during the spring equinox here in Michigan.
Loved your makeovers! A tip to share is that when I am painting something and I don’t want the paint to touch the surface it’s sitting on, I elevate with inexpensive flat brick pavers you can get from Home Depot or Lowe’s in the outdoor garden section.
I came across your channel and wow! I have been thrifting since I was 16 and on my own, I am now 62. You have some great ideas that I will be using in the future. Thanks for that. God Bless
The book idea is perfect for an no journal cover. I’ve got some books already gutted and ready to go. I also have coffee dyed paper ready to go. Thanks for showing me a new way to look at things
Hi Mary! I wanted that bottom of the basket painted too. I got this thing about when I paint something, the bottoms or undersides must not be forgotten. I don’t want to pick something up and see an unpainted or unfinished section. Loved the books..so pretty! (KH)
Thank you for the inspiring video! It is so relaxing to watch on this cold blustery day. It has been zero or below for the last week here. I'm envious of the rain you were getting on this day. We desperately need it! Loved the video as always!! Gave me some ideas!
Good morning from Pennsylvania! Your projects are so fresh and dainty! I love them all! Simplicity at it's finest in my eyes! Love them all, thank you for sharing 🤗🤗🤗
I think I can speak for everybody. We love it when you take items and change them into little works of art. I agree!! A little sad about the pie carrier, but it turned out beautiful as did everything else. Thank you!!
Hola Mary, me encanta ver tus transformed, no me pierdo tus videos, saludos desde California.
I agree with all you said. That pie basket was much prettier in the original color. But it is her basket so oh well.
Everything else was cute.
...And Wish List!!! 😊
I believe you can soften the acrylic molded pieces in the microwave. Seconds not minutes.
I love how John comes out to greet and help you.
That doesn't happen often, I have seen her struggling with very large objects and none of the men there lend a hand. Maybe that's the Amish way, the women do it all.
@@PamelaPhillips-t5j Hopefully they’re working also and aren’t home to see her drive up. John seemed pretty happy to help her😊
Congrats to MB!!!!!! So happy for her that she's married and on her honeymoon. Your videos never fail to calm me and celebrate beauty and simplicity at the same time.
Your paper runner would look so pretty under a glass topped coffee table or desk. Great job on all your thrift finds!
Beautiful pieces. I enjoy using clay molds as well. One hint I've learned is leave the plastic wrap on the green styrofoam. It's easier to re-use later.
I make books like that and add lace and pearls to them, they look lovely.
How do you display them?
Thought I was going to hate those strawberries but it turned out so darn cute❤
You simply AMAZE me, with your TALENT & CREATIVITY!!!
I LOVE… lots of WHITE as well!!!
Thank you for sharing your inspirations!!!🤍🤍🤍
Love these ideas but especially the books!! I'm going to do this to my sketchbooks!! To have something so beautiful on the outside of them will only inspire me that much more to draw beautiful artwork on the inside!!
What a great idea! My kids love to draw. That would be an easy way to dress up a boring sketch book and make a great gift!
You can heat the hardened resin with a heat gun or hair dryer, on the back, to make it flexible again.
God has certainly gifted you, Mary, to see the potential in second hand things and then to bring your transformations to fruition. It is a wonderful thing to witness such creativity!💗
Mary, you are so talented. I love what you did with all the thrifted items. Thanks for the ideas.

Yes! and you can microwave it to heat it as well. There is also a hot water technique...though I have never tried it. ❤
Oh thank you- so good to know!!!
If I have a rounded surface I will take the resin out of the mold a few seconds before dry and set it on the surface and form it, add blue tape to hold until dry. Then paint as you want

New subscriber. I love everything you did. I will never look at my tinware the same way again. Now if I can only get my craft room straightened out to start being creative.
What a burst of sunshine you are on this wintry day! I adore all the thrift make-overs, but the canister set is my favorite.
Amen
