Lost my Grandmother earlier this year and being indigenous from another country I can personally relate to a lot of the slang/traditions that the Native Americans use in this show, because our language is lost we didn’t have Elders singing my grandmother a beautiful send off but we did everything else the show portrayed in this episode. I was a mess after this episode but it is the best episode this show has had so far, I hope it gets the full run of seasons it deserves, it’s such an important show and is slowly becoming my favourite thing on television.

This scene hits hard. I myself am from the rez, Lost my Grandma just a couple months before this episode dropped. Its all i could think about when i seen this was my Grandma. But one thing i admire is that her spirit was even telling jokes. One thing my Grandma' always told me was to always make sure to remember the funny moments when your in mourn, Humor in our Native Culture is great healing medicine for people who are going through hard times. I know its hard to do in times like this but you always gotta do you best to stay strong because it isnt the end for us. Us Sioux in our language dont have a word for goodbye. Its until next time. Ill live by that till the day i die.

I absolutely love this show. The actors are so real. They're not the usual Hollywood airbrushed actors. A 94 pound blue eyed blond girl or a 6 foot 2 190 pound guy with flowing hair. They are so real. They are us with many faults and imperfections. I don't want this show to go on for 9 years. I want it to be a 4 or 5 year series and just end with us rooting for all of them to find peace.

This scene hurts me so much... not saying it's bad or anything but personally, I lost my grandmother in 2019.. and I felt like Elora, I just walked out of my home to get air and I cried so hard my chest hurted.. I slumped down onto the ground.
I imagine my grandmother saying I did good at her funeral, carrying her casket, and comforting my family, especially my mom.. it was a hard day...for everyone.

I understand now..I understand the importance in our ways that one passes.. You need to be there. My Mother a coupla years ago had passed.. I went in to her Hospice to say goodbye..She couldn't talk anymore nor sit up in her bed... I spoke with her and said my goodbyes as she looked at me...Kissed her on her forehead " I will see you soon Mother" a day passed when i was asked by my Sisters to come back to the hospice (mom Had passed) They and a medicine man were to see her off..I had work that day and could not come.... I understand now The anger my Siblings had towards me.. I understand this now that when one is transitioning from here to there the Importance of being there...to see them off.

For those of us who grew up around "relatives who speak or see the dead" or know a few psychics or 2 or several as myself they always retain their personalities haha. Sometimes they'll come back in dreams and talk or conversation or give a warning. Once in a while you'll get one that's a little mischievous. A lot of times they stay around to keep an eye on you and other loved ones. They never truly leave. And yes if you ask for help from them they will help you.😊

This was such an incredibly powerful scene. Devery Jacobs gave a masterful performance as someone so overcome w/ grief that all they could do is run away and burst into tears. Her emotions were raw and believable, and in the lead up to her emotional display, the bubbling up of these feelings to the surface could be felt by the audience in her uncomfortability in her own skin. This was just tremendous.
