Love this song! One of the first Beach Boys songs I fell in love with, its just amazing! Also, can we just Carl's voice in this for a second? It's wondeful!
I love the beach boys I saw them in 70s I wish they could come to Oxford alabama every time they got near me I was in the hospital with all my love teresa cofield Anniston alabama
I saw them in concert June 1975. I was 18 years old and Dennis Wilson tried to get me into his limousine after the concert. He was 12 years older than me and very drunk. I kept saying I’m with my friends. He was very very persistent and I did not go.😅
Drummer is Dennis Wilson, Bruce Johnston is playing keys on this one. I could be wrong but I think Brian Wilson was actually at this show, but he often played piano nearly or even completely off stage at this point. Edit to add, yep, Brian can be seen in a quick flash, to the right of the drum riser, white piano.
@@elizabethfonseca922 it's one of my fav BBs song and this is from probably my fav of their live performances ❤ Carl looked so great around this time!
I always thought that song was a little bit too wordy.. Meaning there were a few lines where they had too many words they were trying to jam into a lyric. Take some of them out so it sings smoother. And bring the key down. Carl sounded like he was right on the edge of his range
@@fayemangahas1648 "Darlin"...I've thought about you often my little girl yeah, I love the way you soften my life with your love , your precious love uh haaah
Love these boys!! ❤❤❤ fabulous joyful sound, great melodies, what a great band
A spectacular song, with a spectacular voice and very good to dedicate to special people
Rest In Peace Carl
They never recovered from losing Carl. He was the heart and soul of The Beach Boys. ❤
He was the youngest but he acted like a oldest brother.

Well, with brothers like Brian and Dennis, Carl had no choice but to be the responsible one. 😂

Fairly sure this was FarmAid circa 1985
It was the 4th of July concert in D.C. in 1980, I believe.

Can you say 34 years ago ?
Actually, Washington D.C., July 4th, 1980.
