I don't know if anyone else mentioned but space bags are great for linens. We moved 2 yrs ago and they were lifesavers. I used them for pillows, comforters, blankets, towels, etc. really cut down on the space they took up. Excited to see the new house and all the renovations you will be doing.
So excited for you. Packing bit by bit is the best way to go. I know when I moved I did it in a way that I was not overwhelmed. I got a storage locker that did not cost and arm and a leg. Its great that you have Bobby to help you. I was alone in doing the packing. I always enjoy watching your videos. You always make me feel good and not judged.
I’m glad you mentioned all of the emotions that kids go through with moving. My niece went through a tough depression when my sister’s family moved across the country. My niece was only 8 years old. She missed her friends so much, that was very hard on her. They didn’t take it seriously at first, but then she got lots of support and prayers and recovered very good. And now the packing has begun! I’ve always admired the way you can make such quick decisions whether to keep something or not. I’m an agonizer! Every decision feels like life and death. 😂 It’s impressive that you can just open a drawer and just whip through the contents in a flash. We moved a few times when I was a child. I remember being excited every time over the possibility of new friendships and the excitement of new places. As long as my parents were there, I knew it would all be okay. I think your kids will be the same way. Your family is close and so long as they have you to ground them, they’ll thrive no matter where they go! I’m so excited for the new content to come. The people moving into your house are so lucky to have someone like you cleaning and making everything so nice.. when we moved into our home 22 years ago, the lady who owned this home moved to North Carolina and it was empty but she cleaned it so good and put new carpet in.. she left all brochures that went to stove refrigerator etc in a drawer. It was so nice!

When we moved to Florida from Iowa, my brother and I coped better than my mom. We went to school and made friends, my dad got a job at a golf course so he could get his golf for free (my dad had sold his business and retired early), but my mom was home mostly. She had a rough time until she started making friends, but it took her longer and she was really unhappy for a while. Luckily you have family there, but I also recommend finding a club/hobby that you can meet people for a social life.
Yeah im glad we will have family but definitely hoping to make some good friends. I actually don't have friends here in Wisconsin since most have moved our of state as well

For smaller stuff, like bathrooms, we used liquor boxes, small easy to carry and strong bottoms. Ps I’ve moved 8times in 20 yrs, lamps fit great in hanger boxes from dry cleaners, plus these are all free. Good luck.🤗

I like your thought process cause we will in a few years be moving to our one property on the lake with the new builds going up then at the time cause there is a mobile home there we can stay in. I thought about what you are doing is just pack what you dont use and just keep the neccessities.
I’m so excited for you xx I moved just over a year ago and when I started packing and donated a ton of stuff Tip, pack a few suitcases like your going on holiday for a couple of weeks just before you due to move and don’t forget shoes 😉 I left like a draw in the kitchen filled with some knives and forks, plates cups etc or better still paper plates or recyclable plastic plates and cups saves on packing them up later xxx 😘

As a recent transplant to Florida I would like to suggest you keep some of your cold weather gear it does .get cold here in the the winter. I am so excited for you 💗
One helpful tip for you guys is that you have to be careful in Florida what you put in the garage or outside. The high level of consistent humidity causes mold growth on anything fabric and salt in the air causes corrosion on anything metal. I had to saw off the hose end attached to the faucet when it broke because it was so corroded.

Cambria, I wanted to watch more. You have your hands full but it will be all worth it in the end. The boys are young enough that they’ll meet new friends and Fraya is just adorable.

As a recent transplant to Florida I would like to suggest you keep some of your cold weather gear it does .get cold here in the the winter. I am so excited for you 💗
One helpful tip for you guys is that you have to be careful in Florida what you put in the garage or outside. The high level of consistent humidity causes mold growth on anything fabric and salt in the air causes corrosion on anything metal. I had to saw off the hose end attached to the faucet when it broke because it was so corroded.
