- This RUclips video is our tour and review of the SylvanSport Vast camper trailer. The Vast has an amazing front kitchen that doubles as an indoor and outdoor kitchen.
The bed setup is awesome because there is a bunk bed with two residential-size queen beds. Two Queen beds and a full bathroom in a small travel trailer are amazing!
The windows are huge, and the back of the trailer opens up to open it up even more. This is by far the lightest and most multifunctional trailer we have ever found.
With a dry weight of 4,420 pounds, it's easily towed behind a midsize pickup or SUV.

Wife & I purchased an all aluminum framed 2018 Intech Pursue. Basically, a small utility trailer converted to camper. Bought used in 2020 from a private owner for $10K cash. Got tired of sleeping on the ground. Includes pull-out kitchen, rooftop AC/Heat unit, Max Air Fan, TV, Stereo. We attach a large tent w/floor, using heavy duty magnets, to the rear opening of the trailer which provides a spacious indoor eating/living area. Inside camper used for sleeping & storage. Only weighs 2500 lbs loaded & pulls easily behind our 22' V6 Toyota Tacoma Off Road with manual trans. And, it fits in our garage. Keeping It Simple.
Sounds great to me! But only for the occasional weekend getaway.

@ Not going to lie I ran it to the end. You do a great job and that kitchen was definitely something I have never seen before, just not my cup of tea. Our Minnie 1800bh was 1/3rd the price with twice the amminities and I dont have people in hammocks above me🤣

Being a RV'er for 40+ years, it takes a lot to impress me but this unit truly does. I was amazed at how they put the indoor/outdoor kitchen on an angle so that it would meet both height requirements. Unfortunately, the price tag puts it out of reach for the average buyer, especially the first timer. I'm sure right now there are some industrious folks trying to convert a normal cargo trailer into a similar layout.

Went to their website....starts at $79,000. I'll never own one unless I win the lottery ( I don't really play, lol) but I love it. I just wish we had all of the caravan options that they have in other countries. Great video
The Vast has a bit higher MSRP compared to its competitors but the design features are quite impressive. It's a buyers market these days. Dealerships are very negotiable and sales prices should be at least 35% less than retail. Still hoping we seeing a change throughout the industry. I like the bathroom/kitchen setup, talk about brilliant design and engineering.
Only thing missing is a hanging closet for clothes.

Most everything sylvansport make is unique and highly functional. Their little GO camper is a super cool design and unbelievably multifunctional. You should do a review of that.

This is SUPER nifty! I know Sylvan builds a good quality RV, but that price is still a tough pill to swallow for something that depreciates as fast as an RV.
We agree the Vast is a pretty cool floor plan. And the MSRP is a bit higher than traditional travel trailers. I think there is better value in the Vast and also feel that no one should pay MSRP, so I'd be curious of an actual sales price. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting. This is a great trailer for a young, active couple.
That is very true! But maybe an older active couple could enjoy it too!
Lots of new concepts that people will love in a small trailer. The msrp will send people away very quickly. Even at 40K it would still be a very expensive small trailer. With all that said, it is a very nice modern trailer.
I thought it was a really cool trailer and we enjoyed reviewing it.

Awesome design, but surprised you didn't mention fresh water capacity. I would be interested to see how the plastic holds up front and rear. Really Innovative design 👍

Great trailer for sure! But, they are going to be hard pressed to sell it at that price! Especially when you consider you can get so much more for that price without having to configure all its sections to make a bed, bathroom, ect. Not to mention you’d get a much bigger fridge. Basically, I’d be all in for a small trailer like this with smaller trailer price on the up end. But this little guy has a large 5th wheel trailer price. So it’s a no go for me. This is the most innovative design I have seen in many years.
99.9% perfect.
I have two small critiques:
1. Switch the privacy screen coming from the bottom and the bug screen coming from the top. If you want the privacy screen almost all the way up to be able to look outside and just a few inches of the bug net for ventilation, that's the way to do it.
2. A hitch at the back probably rated for 500 lbs. Even with the garage space, there a few extra things you may want to bring, or just attach a bike rack at the back, and the garage for other things.
An option could be a roof rack for extra cargo orifices the need for 6 people, then a roof tent.

The kitchen pulling out & turning into a shower was a great idea. Only thing missing is a closet.
I'm not sure there is room for a closet but you're right that would be awesome!
I’d love one as I dial back life to recover from loosing everything after needing both hips replaced. I’m down to bare bones at 48. This would allow me to work my assoff for three years and save all I can and have a great life! It’s incredible!
That’s a great way to look at it! We all need to find joy in life, even when things are tough.
This thing is so cool! I LOVE the kitchen slide out that serves as a huge shower and bathroom that actually look usable! Love the colors too. The convertible bed that slides is so clever, as is the upper bed that descends. I could see the top bed being a challenge for older folks with mobility issues, but otherwise it looks very comfortable. The sofa conversion looks a bit shallow for taller folks and when the bed was folded out, the cushions looked uneven in elevation. It may have been the camera angle though. lol. Overall, this thing is badass! I love it. 😊❤️ thanks for sharing.

Really amazing innovations. The slide-out kitchen is my favorite. The two queen beds are great. Love that you can completely lower the top bunk or partially lower it for bunk beds. The travelling storage space is so awesome. The ease of unloading outdoor essentials is a fantastic idea, especially for older people with bad backs! I'm not crazy about having a cassette toilet. Also, the kitchen sink is too small. Wish I could afford it! Thanks!

I really enjoy how thoroughly you go through all of the quirks of this weird trailer. I like the windows, hate the shower/kitchen and lack of storage. $80,000 to start! What strain of ganga is Sylvan smoking? They need to cut that price by 1/2 and then I'd consider it.

love watching your videos and dreaming. 80,000 for all the ways this can be used I didn't think was bad. Big Windows, 2 big beds, BATHROOM indoor /outdoor kitchen....... seems pretty neat. But it is a dream.
It’s a lot of camper for the money but NO ONE Should Pay $80K because that is the MSRP. I agree, it's a dream.
CCC is only 580lbs? Never mind the price, that alone is a dealbreaker. If your tanks are full, you’ll only have 50lbs left for all your stuff. It has some cool concepts though.
We were a bit disappointed with the CCC of the Vast too. I think the kitchen added a lot of weight. If the fresh water tank was full that would only add about 250 pounds but CCC is still lacking. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting. We appreciate your support!

This is great! Way less expensive than a B van and more versatile!! Of course you’d have to have the appropriate towing vehicle but a large SUV could do the job I think-plus you’d have storage room in the SUV

I love this trailer (not that I’ll buy one at $80K, but I can dream). That kitchen / shower thing is awesome! This would be fabulous for my sister who brings her electric wheelchair. I bet they could mount a wheelchair lift in the back.
It doesn't really cost $80K. lol That is the MSRP. It's a buyers market so you can expect to negotiate 35 to 40% off of the price.

Great video and cool camper but for 80k (not including the tow vehicle) I would go in a different direction.
Never pay MSRP!!!!!! It's a buyers market so you can expect to negotiate 35 to 40% off of MSRP...
This is ingenious! I would ask for a different color. Also, I would like the hub over the wheels to be steps to reach the roof easily.

As a tab 320 owner I understand the price you pay for build quality. When our family grows i can definitely see this being our upgrade choice. I would probably pick one up used because I'm cheap but totally love the design. I like small campers because they can go anywhere and well because I'm camping not living in it full time. I enjoy the outdoors so big windows are a huge plus. So many amazing things about this design. People try to compare these to the mass manufactured junk and wonder why it's twice the price. It's one of those things where you have to see it in person to understand why it costs so much and research the factory to see how they build them. My 9 year old tab still gets mistaken as being brand new.

I think the trailer is really neat. I love the innovations. One problem I see is with all those sliding components. A couple of trips out camping and those slide mechanisms are gonna get full of dirt and debris and never work right again.
Glad you liked the Vast! Since this is manual and not electronic I think the slide mechanisms will work great. I actually really like that bathroom/shower design. Nice and big and spacious. I wonder if they'll ever make a cover that can go over the kitchen stuff outside to keep it covered/ keep it secure so you can put the awning in but kitchen out.

If someone had small kids they could push the lower bed forward and lay down some cushions for little kids to sleep in the back. And older kids could sleep on the bottom bunk.

They could make it to zip on a tent to the back door, making it a 6 sleeper with extra storage space for clothes and bicycles with either a blow up mattress or an extra mattress that's kept under the sofa when travelling
