- The only logical place for tool storage in my shop is on a Death Star. Especially when your tools are named after Star Wars characters. The Death Star Tool Storage build is fun, but uses a variety of woodworking techniques that you can apply in your own shop.
You can make this as complicated or uncomplicated as you would like. But I hope this gives you some ideas for unique and creative storage solutions for tools in your shop. Have fun, its woodworking.

Love this…and the planer should be called “Flatooine”
I could not agree more 🙂
R2-Feed Through 🤣🤣🤣 dude keep up the great videos!!! Love the names so far, you've got a good thing going. Keep up the great work!
lolololol Feed Through. Thank you very much, glad you're liking the videos
@@Lincolnstww No man thank you for quality videos!! I like the style of your vids and I can't lie, the Star Wars theme had me jealous 🤣.
R2- feed through needs to be it! Genius lol 😆
Gotta agree about going with R2 Feed Through. The Dewalt being on that dolly screams "droid" to me so it needs a droid's name imo. Still like "extractogorth" for the boom arm extractor.
Obi won has taught you well......
I was wracking my brain through the video and then saw this comment and thought: dammit, that's just a perfect name...
The Starwars reference names for his equipment had me rolling….Worth watching for that alone!
Gotta mention one….”Ryobi Wan Kenobi” killed me…I literally wept with laughter at this point😂
Thanks!
Darth Planueis, the Wide. As in Plagueis, the Wise.
Dang it I came to say this too!
Awesome
Perfect!
My first thought was BB straight… but R-2 feed through is really good
Seriously... How does this video not have more likes? TF is going on with the internet these days? And props to the guy that suggested R2 feed thru. Quality name.
The "Cad Plain" and "R2-Feed Through" comments are definitely your front-runners. Great build!
That might just sound funny in my head, but what about Princess (P)Lei(n)a ? Love your videos by the way :)
Said it then saw this. Lol. Perfect
I think you were one of the first Eric - But this will be tough to beat.
My wife said this too.
Niiiiice project. Excellent use of Cad Plane to flatten the panels!
This is great .. not just the Death Star shelf which is incredible but the whole Star Wars theme you got in your shop. It's amazing. Well done.
Thank you Brett
BB Plane It!!! The Death Star is EPIC!!! May the 4th be with you...
Thank you Rob
My daughter wants one now, I guess I know what I’m making next.
At the 3:25 mark... Having something like this is an “absolute lightsaber”....
Hahaha that would have been a better line
This will be a day long remembered.
I wish I could double love this comment
I don’t know why or how I just found your channel. I’m a machinist who turned hobby woodworker during the pandemic. I can certainly appreciate the bit on the crosscut sled being “off”. That joiner tip to eliminate the fence error is one of those “slap myself I should have thought of that” moments. Don’t get me wrong I love my festool and Dewalt but It’s also refreshing to see a video that’s not a tool commercial. Keep up the great work!
The nerding out is strong on this one.
4:25 Lincoln showing off the steady hand skills and ignoring the flat side of the guide plate on the router👏🏼
The round side is what you want to use when using an edge guide - not the flat
Love this guy! I want a shop tour that focuses on telling a story with the tool names. Just Loved how you did a project tour of them like that. Totally getting a screwbacca shirt!
This is so good. So glad I found this channel. Humble, hilarious, informative. Thanks for the great content.
Thanks for watching!
Music and editing so epic I thought I was back in theaters! Keep on crushing it!
Great video and very funny!
Never smiled so much watching a RUclips before! May the force be with you!
watching on may 4th 2023! haha great video!
Great content! Can't believe this is one of the less watched videos on the channel; this is pure gold.
Came here to say this. The reveal was epic.
I love your explanation of the in/out sequence at the jointer. That's the simplest way I've heard it. Made it easy to wrap my head around
Thanks Mike. Its totally changed my panel glue ups. Sounds like you have a jointer but its the same idea without one on the table saw. Up and down instead of In/Out
I'm sure you have it named by now. would love to see what you went with. However, if you're still thinking about it there is always the Planedalorian.
I love these vids and the Star Wars fandom! You are one with the force and the force is with you. Now I NEED to make a Death Star shelf for my man cave!
It was nice to see a more care free and comedic channel, Star Wars is the icing on the cake. Death Star is amazing.
Awesome Video! Thank you for the great content!
When that LED was turned on, I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of nerds gasped all at once, and were silenced in reverence. I believe something wonderful has happened. LOL! Can't believe it took me so long to see this one; the stream of puns had me hooked.
WHOA THAT'S AN AWSOME BUILD!
Fellow Star Wars nerd here! Love the Death Star shelf! If you haven’t named the planer yet, how about Darth Planer? Or Plane Solo? 😆 any ways, love your vids!
I laughed because I watched this!!! Well i did skip to the end and saved some precious time!
Planakin Skywalker came to mind, but R2-Feed Thru is pretty strong whoever came up with that 🏆
Emperor pulp-atine? Great content - keep ‘em coming!
The force is strong in this video
Awesome build. Love your vids.
Great build!Really enjoyed the video!
beautiful design. Great video
You really did have me laughing out loud. The names of the tools and of course, the action shots with the hand tools... entertainment at its best. A simple, but fun result. Nice job 👍
Forgot to say happy Star Wars Day too!
Thank you Chris, glad you liked it. Definitely an easy but fun build. It will probably be a while before I do another build video. It sure adds a lot of time to the process.
How did not find this channel sooner?
Hopped to this build video from your tools video. Holy crap how perfect for me I'm an intermediate woodworker who loves Star Wars... I will definitely being visiting your merch shop and buying just about every sticker and label my tools as well... eventually I'll get all your shirts too.
Keep up the good work!
Thank you very much and let me know how you like the stickers - your support is much appreciated
that was fun!
If you haven't named your planer yet, (just found your channel and love it) I think it should be called the "Airsplaner " with a pic of an Airspeeder above.
Thanks for the entertainment and edumacation
Awesome video as always 👌
My entry might be a little to obscure, but you could go with Darth Plane (Darth Bane).
Or...Planakin Skywalker.
Damn, it’s hard for the planer. 😅
Thank you Jamie. Good suggestions too
So late but DARTH PLANER :D
I want one... Great look great build... great fun...
Dude that In and Out method is amazing. Thank you!!
No problem, glad you found it helpful!
Dude this was great, and super fitting that you released this video today! I didn't know about the names of your tools, but that's hilarious. I've been wrecking my brain trying to come up with a good one for your planer.
The build, and video where both excellent - well done. And May the 4th be with you!
Thanks Jon
Jar Jar! Using the boom arm!
Planakin Highlopper. Fun video, thanks
The force is strong with this one! Nice job!
Thank you Michael
Hi from Ontario, Canada. What are you, like six episodes in, and you have become my go to RUclips channel. I have the same size shop, you are putting on everything I would put on if I had a channel, and the Star Wars stuff is a great bonus. Great work. Keep them coming!
Les thank you very much for the kind words! I'll do my best to keep them rolling, next video will be completely outside the box but should be a fun one. thanks again for the support it means a lot
just found your channel... love the Star Wars theme in your shop!
Thank you very much!
Looks great
Your channel is fantastic, never stop!
Thank you Marco
I use Dowling jig. It works quite well. My oldest son wants a smaller version for his room. Thanks for the inspiration.
Well done! Perfect video for May the Fourth!!
Thank you, glad you liked it
I was smiling the whole time I was watching this video, even on this cold rainy day! Really well done with the project and video overall. May the 4th be with you!
and with you
No clue how I missed this one back in the day, but I think this is my favorite video from you 😆
The light-planar. The tool of a woodworker. Not as clumsy or random as an orbital sander. An elegant tool for a more civilized age.
lol "an elegant tool for a more civilized age"
ahahaha, I'm dying. That's too funny
Thank you Larry the cable guy
OMG, this is so sick!! Awesome!!
thank you
Love this!
Just found you channel. Woodworking and Star Wars combo how could I not subscribe….. this is the way!
This is the way
Really enjoy your humor and this as a project not just a tip video (although it has some great tips in it)
Awesome I/O trick. Definitely using that. The Star Wars references are great.
Its a great trick!
Love your humor.
Thanks!
I just recently saw this. It's really neat. You asked about a name for your planer. You may have already named it and/or someone may have already suggested this. My thought is Plancor like rancor.
So awsome!
Well done! So much of my shop storage is cobbled together crap and this makes me jealous!
Thank you!
Outstanding
For the planer maybe Admiral Akboard.... it's a flat! Great videos just binging through them
Its a flat! - lol well done
That is badass and even useful. Great vid
Glad you liked it!
Love your content and the Death Star shelf, I think it fits with the color red behind it but also looks really good with blue as well!!! Keep up the great work, also I found someone that for a second I thought was you but it wasn't. Striking resemblance though. I am planning on starting a channel for woodworking or building as well and I use your videos as well as others to use as a guide to help me. Thank you for that alone and hope you check them out when I upload. Still going to be a little while. Today's date is 1/29/2024. 😁 Happy Building
Saw a thumbnail of another video with this in the background. A friend and I made a smaller version knowing nothing of woodworking for her boyfriend last year. It holds LEGO minis. I love your stickers and videos. Following you now.
Very funny vid. Especially the ending. 👏
I don’t know about name for the planer, but an arrow showing the feed direction with “This is the way” would be dope.
lol thats a great idea
Planer destroyer 😁 Really like your videos. A nice combo of craft and humor
Thank you!
Cool build! All the silly Star Wars tool names had me rolling. 🤣
Love it!
Thank you! Glad you like liked it
I came for the project but I stayed for the puns!!!! Awesome man. Keep it up!
Thanks!
First time watching you and I am laughing out loud at the name of your tools!
The Planedalorian. -> This is the way.
Great vids!
thank you!
DeWaltka......awesome video!
I'm a fan of Flatooine, also Cad Plane. Asajj Thickness or Savage Thickness, Boba Flat, Jango Flat (or if your blades are bad, Janky Flat), Ice Plane-et Hoth.
Super fun project- nice to see it fully armed and operational!
brilliant!!!!
Refreshing👍🏻
Ha. Awesome build!
Thank you. Not a lot of crazy techniques on this one, but for one reason or another it was a really enjoyable quick project.
Okay I came across your channel with the what not to get tool list but it was this video that got me to subscribe! Star Wars themed tools FTW!!!
Welcome aboard!
insanely good video
May the force be with you. I could not figure out what to do with one of walls in my room so you just gave me idea. Thanks to youtube for suggesting me this video.
May the fence be with you?
Suggestion for planer name: Emperor Planepatine or closer to his name Sheev Planepatine
"Let the wood flow through you"
That's a popular suggestion
Howz about Jar Jar Planks?
Love the channel BTW - Definitely going to build this shelf!
Hahaha jar jar planks is a good one. Glad you're going to build the shelf
Awesome
Thank you! I recently began following Mason Wood shop, and thanks to him for recommending your channel.
Could you please provide detail on your boom mechanism (great idea); make/brand of router circle cutter and details on your miter box dust collector. I appreciate folks with a sense of humor, your videos confirm laughter is the best medicine.
Grateful to follow you and Mason Woodshop!
Haven’t read all the comments but I was thinking of Planer 1. Sounds cool.
I liked this video so much that I'm giving it a second view for the youtube algorithm. I like how Master Yoda's post was into the future before even the video was published. That dude is on another level.
yoda appreciates you
@@Lincolnstww appreciates you Yoda does***
Boba Jet, Tie Miter, OMG between you and Bob at I Like to Make Stuff, you've taken all the good Star Wars tool names!
Fun!
Awesome.
I know I'm late, and I didn't have it in me to read all the comments, so if someone said it already then so be it, and although space themed, it's not Star Wars. 'Planer of the Apes' ...love your channel, just subscribed recently, and love the humor infused into the great tips and end products. I'm definitely building the boom arm for my dust collection (shop vac with dust deputy). Thanks for doing you. Darcy
Great videos. Keep it up. Definitely have to say Plane-do Calrissian
