    I saw the Hellecasters 4 times back in the 90s in Southern California. Their concerts take you on a journey and then bring you back again into reality when the show is over. These guys are from another planet. Just simply amazing.

    Fabulous guitar playing here......but also let's give kudos to the drummer who kept up that shuffle on his drum kit for 13 minutes without missing a beat!

    He learned that from Albert Lee? Albert is the Tele master period amen.....

  • @edgeofeternity101
    @edgeofeternity101 6 лет назад +4

    I being much drawn to the tele, and having built my own, find it remarkable that the instruments being played are so far removed from from the thing they are trying to emulate. It's perhaps just an oddity, and that the guitars are the result of personal preferences, and then the name hits me like a ton of bricks. I guess I'll just pick up my nocasters and run.

    • @joshshannon
      @joshshannon 4 года назад

      edgeofeternity101 nocasters are badass. I want an Esquire

    • @tomformanek3312
      @tomformanek3312 3 года назад

      The tele is only the platform. It was a workingman's guitar. A lot of country guys love the original. A lot of rock guys upgrade components. A rule that has been broken by Brent Mason. Springsteen and Gatton both went for blades or stacked pickups. No matter what, changes are somewhat limited, so the soul of a tele lives on somehow. Purity is for the staid. I built a Fender with Don Rich in mind and a Korean Hamer T5M with G&L MFDs. The fun is discovery.

    • @edgeofeternity101
      @edgeofeternity101 3 года назад

      @@tomformanek3312 These guys are so great, yet don't get a lot of exposure. I had a cool project off brand Tele, it was a rare Gretch with a very chuncky fat neck and HUGE headstock, kinda like a old Vox. It was a solidbody. It was a really quality guitar. I put a set of Bill Lawernce single coil blade pickups from Bill and Becky, and I wish I hadn't sold it, It was a really nice guitar. I seem to always have a project going on or on the back burner. We had CNC machines at work, and I could cut pickup pockets or bridge pockets, or cab faceplates.Not sure of brand, but was MIJ

      Hi Jeff. I remember writing this comment but have to revisit it. I live the playing but think it might’ve been overkill. How long can a lead go on for? Minus any melody it detracts fr the song. Just my. 2 pennies though.
      Make no mistake though I wish I could chicken pick like that….
