I always liked Chet Atkins and bought many of his albums when I was a kid. I was watching the fingers of the guitarist playing behind him, he was playing in unison with Chet. I guess that is why Chet named all the musicians before he started, they are all amazing.👍👍

My dad used to play this at square dances in the USA (down south)! Thought I'd google a steel guitar version of the song & see what I'd find . . . HOLY COW YOU ARE GOOD!!! Absolutely great! I never dreamed I'd hear a version like this (unbelievable!) from an Englishman who most likely has never been to a Saturday night square dance at a VFW Hall where the Orange Blossom Special is practically their National Anthem (nothing political intended)!!! ...signed, not Bob Gross Music, Bob's wife, Linda . . . but Bob loved it too!!

jeannie bell Same here. Don’t be discouraged; I don’t think there are more than a handful of players who could shine Chet’s shoes. Tommy Emmanuel is one of the few guitarists inspired by Chet who can also make my jaw drop. But there will only ever be one Authentic Chet Atkins. So sad that he’s gone.

Sadly, on my birthdate, June 30th. I've played a long time too. My dad brought home his album in the early 60. I saw him at a matinee concert in the late 70s. Nobody showed up. He invited everyone down to the front. I sat 9 feet from his hands as he played. That's Paul Yandell, the other guitarist. He's great also. But, Chet was the front bow of the Titanic.

Well, there's not much to say. Two masters of the guitar, Chet and his partner Paul Yandell. When you listen it's sometimes hard to tell the difference.
Chet is playing the Gibson Country Gentleman which he helped develop after leaving Gretsch. Equally well sounding.

Interesting anecdote, for those who loved Chet...in one of his last interviews before he died, Chet was asked if there was a guitarist alive that he would actually pay money to go and see. Without hesitation, he said, "Doyle Dykes". If you liked Chet, you will love Doyle. If you don't know who he is, please take time to check him out......

Chet Atkins is the best of all time. He just makes it look so easy-its not! And he has always the greatest taste. I wonder why he does not play with a Bigsby? This set looks like Austin City Limits which was always a great show on PBS. that tapping maneuver he does at 2:17 is incredible playing.
