It would be so cool to see you guys do a whole tiny house decor series. I know that's something that would take a lot of resources and all that. But I feel like there's a lot of really good space-saving diy opportunities in something like that.
Here here and if it were done for a worthy cause I'm sure they'd find a sponsor willing to take it on. Lowes? Ikea?
@@bluecurlygirl Seconded!

The charger extender thing is definitely a game changer!
I would love to do the charger extender shelf.
I keep a surge protector under my couch, pull it out when needed
Who makes the charger/ extender? I can’t find it on Amazon.
I have USB port in my lamp and it’s a game changer for sure!

Can they just redecorate my life. Thanks.
EmiiHeff seriously!
EmiiHeff ha! I know what you mean.
ruclips.net/video/TAQFQmIBA2Q/видео.html
Me too!
Y’all had me goin for a minute... I thought that you were going to leave that bin of *hamster* stuff just open for everyone to see
Cat?? You mean whatever rodent thats in the cage on the bench??
Issa hamster
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Alisha Catherine Renee Swartz lol whoooooops yes
You guys should do a basics video where you show how to mount shelves and put in ceiling hooks and whatnot. Like a how-to reference for your projects if somebody is nervous about a diy because they don't know how to do the rest
On different surfaces too! Not everyone has DRYWALL. LOL
Please do more small space hacks!! (Like for studio apartments) I love these and they are really helpful!
Miss Optimistic I’ support your comment!
Agreed!!
They are upgrades, and not hacks!
Maybe a decor series for people who rent apartments? I always get scared to alter things in an apartment I don't own, but want to make my apartment look how I want! Please and thank you :) ❤❤
Did you tell her where her remotes are hidden...😂😂😂😂
ahahahaha yes
I literally think only about that haha
bwahahaha
Omg you're right 😂😂😂😂😂
lmaooooo😂😂😂😂😂😂
So glad that Becky went back to being a brunette - it suits her so so good! I think that while watching every video since then! She just has beautiful hair!
publicmiriam I’ve been watching a lot of OLD tsg vids and my fav was the blonde
I think she looked really good with blonde hair.
Kamisa me too, but it only really matters how Becky feels about her hair 😋😋
Mercedes Winter Yeah definitely. And I do understand it so so good if someone wants a change now and then. I am changing my haircolor literally every week, cause i like the brown but I am always unsure and I really like the process of coloring or uncoloring hair. 😂 Thats my kind of craft.
Mercedes Winter I have to go back and check for the blond hair, dont have a picture in my head right now.
I've got a pet turtle and his filter, lights, and misc. necessities can be a bit of an eyesore! More diys with pet encolsures that are functional + cute would be so so appreciated :)
Rachel same here! I have a chameleon and her stuff just takes over the whole table
@@JessRodriguez1111 My floor has never been cleaner (my guinea pig gets it all to himself and loves it) but the amount of pet supplies I have is ridiculous. I recently donated some supplies my crabs and guinea pig have outgrown or dislike, but I still had to install a shelf and clear off my desks... not to mention the animal enclosures and cords!
Axel Powers right! I wish I could afford one of those enclosures that come built into something, you know the ones with like the cabinet at the bottom and the cage on top and it’s seamless. I’m thinking of scouring the furniture section at the thrift shop and seeing what I can find in terms of storage and if it’s ugly or doesn’t match my decor I can just sand/stain it or paint it
Sorry Girls helping me live my best small space life 🙌
Wow you girls did a great job !! The room looks really pretty !! Please more room or apartment makeovers !!!
I love this since I have a tiny living-and-sleeping-and-eating room!!!
this is like

PLEASE READ
Timbits cage is WAY to small hamsters require a minimum of 450 square inches, there are plenty of ways to do this there are 40 gallon aquariums, bin cages, diy cages, and plenty of businesses on line that create large cages. If you could please pass this on to timbits owner so she can provide with a long healthy life. In no way am I trying to hate on anyone just trying to educate :)
thank you for commenting this !! there’s never an excuse to not provide an animal with the space and things it needs to be happy. i really hope they saw it and made some improvements to the hamsters living conditions :3
Also don't put rodents near windows like that, they are susceptible to drafts which could make them sick.
I know I'm late, but thank you! I was looking for this. :)
I was here to say the exact same thing. I saw the cage in the thumbnail and thought "I hope there isn't a hamster in there..."
I saw a hamster ball on the floor, so he probably does get to roam around the house.
The electric outlet idea is so good and useful.
and that Charizard LOL... very unexpected.
WOW this was such a great video :)
Thanks! 💪
I know this might be a costly project but can you make a diy platform bed with storage?
Tyshaya Cherry yesss and a Murphy bed would be cool
I think Becky build a platform bed in one of the vlogs!
I did a tutorial on 2 versions and 'handy dad' has two really good tutorials on platform beds with storage! Really fun to build :D
If this is something you’re interested in, I can share my own cost effective hack, a no-install alternative to the platform bed. I came up with this years ago when wanted something similar to what you’re describing for my own studio apartment (but with deviations). At ikea I stumbled their ‘Stora’ wooden loft bed, a double mattress width frame. I wanted to be able to sit and move around freely but use the space underneath so I shortened the wooden legs to just the right height (it has a support beam mid height so this doesn’t compromise the structure). I have the bed in a corner and put shelves at the right height for access plus a side shelf drilled onto the box frame side to give me an area to put things (it has a ridge so things don’t tip off the edge). I also added posts on the corners to hold curtain rods, turning it into canopy bed,aka I could close off my sleep area from view for company and when I sleep (I used a sari for the curtain as it was the perfect length, just covering the bed but not the space below). Underneath I put a converting sofa bed rather than storage as well as a hybrid table/storage shelves with lamp and a comfy chair. The under space is a small social area that converts to a guest space, the sofa pulls out. I added a curtain that tucks under the stairs when not in use but acts as a privacy screen for guests. In a pinch the curtained area has also been used for storage when needed. This opened up my entire space, looks great and the cost by comparison was minimal. It started as a stop-gap measure but I’ve come to love it so much for years now that I quickly gave up on the platform idea in the end! In terms of construction, no professional assistance needed either. Just a friend, a saw and a drill for shelves/folding table extensions. I highly recommend it!
@@risac.8384 can you post pics
I don’t have a pet but can you do some pet diys please
Kui on their Facebook page they have a show for pet diys!!!!
Julie Moerike thx but ... I don’t have Facebook
@@Joy-io9te I think you can access it, you just can't comment on their vids.
lmao
ur a whole mood
Daniella should definitely put more bedding in the cage so the hamster can burrow!
Yes and the cage is too small. Hope she upgrades to a 40 gallon breeder tank soon!
Alternatively, can you do a vid on making a weirdly large space be cozy
I need this
Well technically their loft is just a large open space but defining some spaces really helps make cozier spaces!😊
@@emily.t11 Oh yeah, I see what you mean. My room is like "big" but not HUGE and I haven't seen a lot of stuff as far as like how to set up a space like this and make it feel more homey
Some possibilities are: put up a room divider, or a big shelf that's open to both sides (the classic from ikea), or even just a chest of drawers. Difine different areas with rugs. Don't be afraid to put furniture (like a couch) in the middle of the room. If the ceiling is also high, hang some art high. Put up alternative lightsources (not just the big ceiling light) so you can light just the area that you are using. Alternatively: embrace it. My friend has a huuuuge living room. They have one very simple but cozy couch on the narrow side under the window with a little side table next to it. From the ceiling hangs a single enormous light bulb. There's a gigantic persian carpet in the middle. That's it. The floor, carpet and couch are all warm colours, and walls and ceiling are a creamy white. The light is also warm. Even though it's so empty, it feels cozy. And it makes for a great dance floor once you roll up the carpet! 😊
Oh yes cause I've been to apartments with tall ass ceilings it's like walking into a bank
i just have to tell you this is the first video i've seen of yours IT IS SO AMAZING!! i am going to search for more. i'm a disabled wheelchair bound single mom of 3 who homeschools. we just moved into a very small house. these projects are AMAZING for us!!! we can't put a table in the dining room. the fold up table will work perfectly with my wheelchair and can be used for our homeschooling. there are 2 plugs in strange places per room. the plug from amazon IS a real game changer. even the idea about the remotes will help us. THANK YOU!!
I wish you kept the shelves white, and the mirror with tiny frames... Too many things on the shelves.
I love the table and the idea of the back shelf + the blinds
Jemma J or just a simpler larger mirror
I agree! I was thinking the exact same thing as I watched it. The mirror doesn't really go with the aesthetic of the room. I felt like the shelves were a bit too cluttered. The white furniture was supposed to bring brightness to the room, but the cluttering would only take up more eye space and cast more shadows.
I don't get this too. The beautiful dark brown shelf has to go white but then they keep these wallshelves and "hidden" shelf behind the couch in this bright wood which zero goes with the wallcolour. And then the clutter EVERYWHERE makes the room even more tiny and... cluttered! Tsssss
I totally agree. I was shaking my head so many times as I was watching the video. The shelves and mirror should have been white and the Hamster table should have been left the same color - it was so beautiful. They should have used a lighter color blanket and pillow for the sofa to lighten it up. The sofa is big and dark and it was sucking all the light. The blinds was a good idea and the fold down table too. I would have stained the table or made it a bit darker color to take eyes of it.
At the end of the day, a home has to be livable. If you have a small space, it's very very hard not to make something "cluttered" because at some point you have to set something down _somewhere._
I really like that back of the couch shelf thing
theres a super similar folding table at ikea for people who arent as crafty
My favorite thing about y’alls videos is how realistic they are. Not everyone is going to try to make their space like a magazine, but you guys always make it look and feel like a functional home:)
I will love to see a video where you do a shelf or some decor on heating radiator and safe stuff to put in. I have 5 in my house And i feel that they take away space and could be potential shelves, but I would like to know your opinions
The pillow pocket just saved my life!
I need my medical equipment and supplies near me at all times but my high loft bed has made me resort to using a bedside caddy which is ugly. Now I can use my fancy pillow!
Lots of fantastic tips and trick. Girls this makeover is gorgeous...love it!
It’s amazing, especially considered they don’t spend money to buy many new furnitures, not even re-paint the wall, and the room just got much better 😍😍😍
Really cute video! However, the hamster needs more space. A 40 Breeder or 50 gallon or bigger with a deeper substrate would be more adequate, hamsters are super active and need more space than a lot of people think! I THINK the dollar per gallon sale is still going on at some pet stores so you can get a cheap tank, or you can usually find them for good prices on Facebook marketplace or secondhand, or even make a tub enclosure. You could make a whole video “upgrading my hamster’s enclosure” or something like that.
Also I saw you had a hamster ball! Please don’t put a hamster in that, it hurts their back because they don’t have a choice to stop having their back arched. It can cause back problems in the long run :( idk what species you have but if it’s a Syrian you’ll need a bigger wheel, good on you for getting a wooden one! Lots better than plastic or especially a wire one.
Really nice room designs otherwise though.
Unfortunately I don't think they'll listen. They were told about the minimum recommend space for a hamster in their hamster video a while ago. Even erinsanimals comment it. It's such a shame because they have all the power tools they need to make a diy cage. 🙁
Fati Gonzalez Yeah, it really isn’t hard at all to make a custom tank or enclosure. Here’s to hoping that they see all of the comments telling them improve it and act on it!
Our 2 hamsters had 1,5sq m and 2 wheels each 1foot diameter! And NO BALL!!! Never!
Damn. I just got schooled on hamsters. 🤓 📓 🖊
ah Yeah, a lot of people don’t know much about them and get them because they think they’re easy and small, that’s why it’s such an important thing to lead by example and provide the right enclosure 👍🏻
2 years later and I'm still rewatching this video. Loved the hacks.
I love how Becky and Kelsey do men stuff like hard core building and making hard stuff and professional, this is the feminine life I signed for
Story Time Girl
"do men stuff"?? U see, it all starts from ur stereotyping. It is not "men stuff".
Jemma J I think she meant “stereotypical men stuff” as in what society views as manly, or men type work .
@@jemmaj2919 she's literally saying that she admires how they don't give an eff about stereotypes. They exist. Denying this would be ignorant.
NorthernLights society calls it “men stuff” that’s just the truth . I own a whole tool box with all kinds of tools to build/fix just about anything .... and yet some people would still be surprised by the fact that I am not subscribing to gender roles or stereotypes . She said nothing wrong in my opinion .
@@jemmaj2919 i didn't mean it like that, i actually am happy that women are breaking the stereotypes and i should've put men stuff in quotation marks cuz that doesn't exist if a woman is capable of doing hard stuff so be it, u go girl
I’ve watched a lot of small space videos but this one actually has a lot of non-obvious ideas. Love the pillow pocket and the lined storage bin.
Talk about Becky with the good hair! 💁🏻♀️🍋
Nicia Dibben what do you mean?
Excellent ideas. That shelf behind the couch moves the forward a few weeks bunches, opening a very useful storage space between the back of the sofa and the wall. Could be a great place to store ugly, rarely used items like tools or folding chairs for extra company.
Just a tip from another hammy owner- I've heard not to keep hamsters in direct daylight! ✌
Also, should not be kept in aquariums - they do not provide enough of the air flow. It is a bit on a smaller side as well but I saw the walking toy for the hamster so I guess the owner is trying.
@@marta_na_moto Aquariums are fine for hamsters, when they're the right size, they're not suitable for mice though who do need a lot of air flow through their cage because of their sensitive respitory systems
you guys should make a video all about polaroid pictures and what to do with them! example; polaroid wall, ways to display them and unique things that we havent seen before...
Ditch the laundry hamper/coffee table
Omg the pillowpocket is GENIUS!!
if you added hinges to the shelf behind the couch like you did the desk, there would be added storage behind the couch.
Tip #4 is amazing to me. That is so handy. The outlets never seem accessible and that would help a lot.
Can you do something with Polaroids like painting on Polaroids or cute picture displays
it is actually so nice to see girls not only arraging stuff but actually BUILDING stuff, and some of these tips are really unique and smart :D
Can you guys do decor/ organization hacks for cars??
Uuu, that would be really amazing! Great idea!
Nataly Orozco yessssss
Practical, attractive, affordable, and do-able. Excellent work! Thanks for sharing.
i would love to see more videos like this! the room makeover + hacks idea is great
You guys should make more episodes like this. All this about getting spacious vibes is great.
This is so great, it looks amazing! And so many great tips for small spaces :)
i love that you made these diy and affordable, especially because i've noticed that sometimes tiny living things are expensive (because they're on trend) you go girls!
small bathroom space next
Yes please!
This video is amazing! my bedroom is 2,5 x 4,5 mt square so its really hard to make it look big, but this tips and especially the little bar behind the couch with the plugs are going to help a lot !
I love this video :) the thumbnail was way deceiving in terms of how amazing the reveal was at the end... what's the opposite of clickbait?
I do that blind hack in my guest bedroom. The window is a dormer and I take it to the ceiling and fill the entire dormer with it. It draws the eye up, which is needed in a room with a slanted wall. The room is small and there's only room for one end table. So where there's a chimney bump out near the head of the bed without the end table (the bed is butted up against it), there's a box shelf attached to the chimney facing the end of the bed. This allows guests to leave a cup of tea or wallet or book, etc. The wood was trimmed out and stained to coordinate with the end table.
Timbit's cage is wayyy too small...
You could also use some of the wood from the table to add a shelf to the bottom of the bench, and add a couple of bins there for additional storage.
The crime of this video was not showing us Timbit
So happy to see the shelf behind the couch. That is what I was going to do in my living room dining room combination area.
👍💖👍
I saw the couch shelf hack on Buzzfeed and a huge complaint was getting electrocuted if you split water on the plug ins.
Makes sense but I guess then if you're clumsy don't put your glass there 😂
You can knock over a glass and it dribbles down the table onto a plug on the floor, too. You can knock over a glass on your computer. You can knock over coffee on your couch. Just be careful.
TeacupTempest put your drink on the COFFEE table instead
Hack is never used correctly anymore. It simply means click bait.
Can you do a video on power tool recommendations? And also budget friendly options!
Can you do a boy's room? Pleaaase!!
YES
That is such good idea. I try to fix up my BFs apartment but he's so worried that it'll lose the man cave look.
Please do this!!!!!
Aren't we over the boy-girl stuff in 2019? 🤔🤔 all their bigger DIYs are gender neutral. This is, too.
@@masha7377 So the guy can't have his place looking the way he wants because it's 2019 and it must be gender-neutral?
@@danxfour huh? I think you totally misunderstood me 😂😂 OP was requesting "boy stuff" and I just think that there's no such thing as girl room decor and boy room decor, at least not for adults. I agree that a cozy yarn wall decor might not be the most stereotypically "manly" thing, but they have plenty of stuff that can be used and adapted for everyone. 😊
@@masha7377 Okay, in that case you do have a point :)
I love this video! I'm a junior in college right now and love to find these kinds of ideas for my future house. However, I am and will be in a dorm/apartment situation for the next 5+ years... could you guys do this same kind of video but for a temporary housing situation in which drilling holes in the walls is not ideal?
Who's that pokemon?! lol
I would appreciate if you guys can solve tool storage in an apartment issues. Tool storage is so difficult because I don't want to designate a precious closet for it nor spend a ton on a nice piece of furniture to put it in (like your structube piece).Decorative & functional is what I want. Please help because the struggles are real.
That would be Charizard.
I use to be really into Pokemon.
@@Kaitlyn_B97 I'm aware! :) I was referencing the bit Pokemon does before commercial break lol And if they don't do that anymore, that sucks!
@@Kaitlyn_B97 r/wooosh

Agreed. Tool storage
Just wanted to say this video was so helpful! grommet through a wall shelf behind the couch is worth 10k likes alone. Thanks for creating, sharing, and most importantly adding the links in your description. *Subscribed*
a laundry basket as a coffee table???
That remote/pillow storage hack is GENIUS!!
It's not a hack. A hack is something you do to a tree, or not so legal way of getting into a computer. Then of course there is hacking up your buddy or in-laws!
I really wish you had painted the whole space a brighter white.
sumaliworld if Dani is renting then a lot of landlords don’t let you paint the apartment, or if you do you have to pay a certain amount of money and then paint it the same color it was before you leave
Oh heck no so much white reminds me of death! My fiance was completely wrapped in white blankets the day I had to have him removed from life support!
For The pouf / extra seating thing they could have picked one with storage in it. But this room turned out amazing!!!
Could you guys do over a room Marie kondo style
I did the curtain tip because I saw it somewhere before and it works!!
I have a small space I would like to volunteer! 😂
You can also store things that you don’t need frequently beneath the shelf behind the sofa which is a plus
If that's a hamster in there, the tank is way too small. I dont care if it doesnt fit with your "decor". An animal isn't a fashion accessory, so dont treat them like one. Please do some reading about the proper care for which ever animal you have in there.
It's an animal guys 🙄 not an accessory. So all I'm saying is dont dress like it one. Like let's say, you were forced to live in a small walk-in closet. Sure you can live in it but you wouldn't be happy. So why force an animal it way smaller conditions.
No they didn't. But they need a more appropriate tank size. Hamster or not it's small.
Whoever's hamster it is, I'm sure they seen this video and see the comments.
Yeah keeping a hamster in anything less than 450 as inches is literally animal abuse
You wouldn't lock your cat in the closet.....
@@TEO.187 thank you!
That extendable table is a game changer omg!!
PLEASE give your hamster a larger home and more fluff! This is not a large enough area for him.
Sarah Moore I hope you don’t mean like Cotten fluff as that will kill him. But I agree with a larger cage
No fluff as in his bedding
Bedding such as Carefresh (or similar) is one of the safest for hamsters. Cotton/fluffy bedding can be fatal, even if it's just for their nesting area. They can ingest it, or get their limbs or toes tangled in it which cuts off the blood supply.
Yeah like set it free it still belongs to the rat and mouse family ilk get a bird
Let’s be real it’s been months since we first told them this, they just don’t care about the hamster
The bar behind the couch is awesome! and the desktop outlet you put in is SO smart. Must look into this!
You never told het where the remote was now she cant find it 😂
You guys are so corny!! I love it. The space came out great. I can feel the difference.
Please promote healthy hamster conditions. They are such a mistreated animal. Get a $100 ikea detolf and make a diy lid for it. Hamsters need so much space to run and play and at least 5 inches of bedding to burrow and a bunch on toys and chews. Please you guys make everything just make that poor hamster a better living condition.
"Who's the girl right now, Becky?" ahahahaha this so made my day.
Please re do the hamsters cage it’s way too small and not enough bedding!
New freaking subbie! You guys just blew me away with how effective small changes have the potential to make a huge difference! Creative, affordable, and surprisingly simple! Love your personalities and I look forward to watching more of your vids!
I would love to see you guys organize the studio Marie Kondo Style!
becky's hair is everything!!!
Really wish I could use all of these tips for my student apartment, but they have made strict rules about not making any holes in the walls as well as it is concrete walls :/ Thank you for the inspiration nonetheless, you guys are so creative
Command hooks! Seriously they're so useful in rentals!
Lol for my apartment I took a calculated risk and installed things anyway. I just bought a tub of wall putty, filled and painted over all the holes. No one said anything. Obviously that's not feasible for everyone, depending on how strict your landlord is and how much oversight they have.
@@kulsoomjawaid6411 That is actually so smart! Might consider this. Not using any wall space is such a waste of space in such a small apartment as I have
@@alexp9621 I do use command hooks for things as frying pans and pots etc, but i fear command hooks will not hold up things as mirrors etc. I really don't wanna risk it dropping into the floor
@@Afsdsh it'll be fine as long as the frame for the mirror isn't heavy. Check the weight the hooks can hold. They hold up heavy book bags which weigh more than a lot of mirrors.
That shelf behind the couch hack would be awesome for a bed without the space for a nightstand on the side.
did...did they just use call me by your name as a coaster?!?!!! i'm....fine :)))
Really neat with the shelf behind the sofa. And sooo incredibly smart using the extension cord to access the hidden outlets through the shelf, mind blown!
The after makes the room look cluttered.
when you redo someone else's space like this, do they get to keep all the little decor pieces you added? Like the decor on the shelves and the plants?
*the hamster cage is way to small!*
Watching this in 2020 it's crazy how much your content video look and all has exploded to what it is now
Omg the hamster cage!!!♥️
This is why I love the Sorry Girls. You are all so clever. Smart hacks.
I really don't like these tables, they look like a trash can in the middle of the room. And fabric doesn't help much, just looks like a trash bag in it.
agat787 an easy swap out would just be an ottoman with storage
then dont use them
I was thinking they look more like laundry hampers
