Coming soon on Finnegan`s Garage " The Wife wants more power in her boat and we are installing a Steve Morris LMX. I would have to install a turbo screen. With my luck I would loose my glasses or hat and have it kill the turbo
My hat flew off a few years ago while racing a good friend of mine and got sucked into my turbo. It's 1 hell of a ride when your running about 130 mph and come to almost a dead stop. What really sucked besides having to buy a new turbskie is the water that came rushing in from the back of the boat and swamped the hell out of my new LSX build. Luckily it didn't swamp all my Holly electronics 😱👍😂
@@LymerPnB The 711 in gameover is already a sick Brodix aluminium block and with the cubes it has and the turbos on it, it could easily crank out 3500hp. The problem with gameover is that the suction hardware on the bottom of the boat where the jet drive ingests water is not yet properly calibrated and at a certain speed the boat is so far out of the water that it can't suck in any more water and hits a speed limit and the engine goes revving to the moon.
@@robertlawler1387 well see when you raise your head up slightly over the windshield the wind sorta grabs it and does whatever. I love Peter's facial expressions, they are priceless!! He is incredible with what he is willing to put up with your shenanigans, obviously a real cool guy from his videos. You guys fit well together
Sick build! 21 daytonas are one of the fastest hulls I know of, the power to weight ratio is really good. That thing is gonna rip once you get it tuned right! Bet that red and black is as hot as it looks after being in the sun for a little bit.
So nice of you to get all the bugs worked out of the wife's boat for you. She will have fun when you have both boats running, you can enjoy the lake together.
There’s some times an issue with the crank sensor picking up noise from other hunks of metal other than the reluctor wheel. Others have moved the sensor to the front of the crank on an external wheel to solve it.

Thanx! Great episode. Now we are ready for more car stuff.. #1 Caddy, #2 Blasphemi, #3 Race truck and then the Ramp truck if that one is not strict Roadkill stuff 🤔
Blasphemi is back home. so is the ramp truck. will be working on both here real soon. As soon as the engine for the Caddy arrives we'll be back on that project.
@@FinnegansGarage I'm definitely looking forward to seeing some progress on the caddy, it is going to be such a cool thing to see that land yacht flying down a track 🤟
Happy 4th ya Guys A Pleasure to meet ya I agree Kevin That is a beautiful hull Glad things are working out well with it Mike That's a great family Hotrod Enjoy vacation
I always had the old ball valve setup on the engine feed line to try and set the flow. Usually after a couple good header burns I’d get the temperature where I wanted it lol
Eliminator did a killer job on the hull and you guys built it to the perfect spec! It looks super stable at high speed! Are you bringing it out to any events soon?
I appreciate the how the boat became that color excerpt. I want to paint my Mastercraft red but haven't figured out how yet! The pickle-fork jet boat rocks! Looks killer.
Just scuff it real good and shoot some epoxy primer on it. Once you decide to go with a multi stage paint, everything is pretty much the same as painting a car
I think what you’re experiencing when you let of the throttle and the boat delays to slow down is that the air has packed into the tunnels and you are riding on the “cushion” of air and when you let off the throttle it takes a moment for the boat to settle back into the water
Honestly I think the most important part of this build, isn't the epic looking hull, it isn't the sweet Texas speed twin turbo power plant. It's the fact that Mrs. Finnegan approves!! 🔥🔥🔥
In a safety critical application like a jet boat, you should 1 MILLION PERCENT have turbo guards. one hat, one pair of sunglasses etc. and you're getting a water enema.
Bad ass boat. Would love to see a V drive build though. Jets are cool and all but it’ll never be as fast as a v drive with the same build. Having reverse is a pro though
V-drive boats are badass, and a ton more straight forward to get set up, though I've seen a few of the higher horsepower ones detonate the v-drive and those aren't exactly cheap to replace, too bad that pickup they had with the v-drive got stolen
Summer has officially started now... the boat is on the water! Great seeing Kevin and Pete on FSM! One question, does Dave go out in a chase boat just in case?
You should do a calibration with puddins fab shop. He’s been redoing a badass mini u-haul trucks, he’s currently putting a box on a Datsun on custom air suspension. I think that would be a fun calibration.
I could have sworn I saw co2 bottle on the boat. But I like the wastegate design with the screw on retaining ring, I always hated trying to hold it with alot of pressure and thread bolts in.
That one run all I saw was a microfiber coming loose into the path of an exposed turbo inlet, thankfully there was a handy ziptie around before that went catastrophic
I caught the KSR version Mike

Correction, installing the engine from game over.. so they can install a SMX into gameover

If your hat stayed on untill 130 it needed to come off so a helmet might fit.

I was so afraid that yellow rag was going to come loose and get sucked into the turbo @24:10
Looked like a few more seconds and it would have came loose at least.
love how compact the turbo system is.

I love how clean and low profile the instal is. Cool boat indeed 😎
Absolutely love that hull design. You can rip in those in almost any conditions... Well, choppier than most jet boats would like. Just smooooothe!
Congrats Mike, that's a Chip Foose quality looking job. The engine is amazing!
"BIg Jet boat Dynos you can ride" I love it. Brilliant! That is it exactly.
Heard that too👍

Just bought my first jet boat 20ft 77 Sleekcraft …so we are learning together…thanks Mike and Pete!!!
Thanks!

Gate valve works better my friend👍🏼
Gate valve that feed line from the bowl to engine. A bit more precise. Just does not look "cool"....
Really inspiring to watch Finn. Keep it up!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Pretty awesome. Boats are so temperamental & I can't imagine how much that increases with a project like this.
Beautiful boat and workmanship, I still think u should call it "Game On", the sister to Game Over.
Always awesome seeing what these legends are capable of! 🙌
Two smart guys right there.

The boat turned out bad ass have fun this weekend with it hope she digs it I’m sure she will
The boat is cool, but I want to see more of that Datsun wagon in the background!
Super cool boat. Great to see Kevin from KSR on your channel

Alright, you talked me into it. I'm getting an old Eliminator, LSX with twin turbos and see how bad I can mess it up!

what a clean set up bro.
I wish I could have Pete tune my c10. he had that boat running sweet!!!
FREEKIN awesome 👍
Been waiting for this.
Better than I imagined half way through.

I worked at Marlin Boats in lamination in 1987 and 88 so I know how fiber glass is done. Nice boat
Kevin is the man with the plan
Cruising 75, my jet only goes 60 on a good day! That’s a nice float!
Lol!! Same!!!
You guys need more HP and pump work!
@@aztommy1687 More HP just went in. Gained 600RPM, +120 HP. Just need to dial in the handling. Pretty squirrelly when you get out of it now.
Kevin's "chooooobody" @12:45... Nope, it's not a cleetus McFarland video! 😂😂😂
Mike as Hannibal from the A Team, chomping a big cigar, chin in the air, “I love it when a plan comes together !”
Pete is the man...🤘🤘🤘

GOOD JOB guys !!!
You need a boost controller on this!! Such a beautiful boat!!! nice!
Long time coming , but vacations take precedence. Very interesting video. I hope to see more soon. Many thanks. ps; Boat looks stunning .
When Kevin went Alfalfa around 12 minutes 😂

A pickle fork is my favorite hull for a jet boat!👍🇨🇱

watch closely at 26:05
I know, I was really thrown off by Pete sounding like Dave.
Bad ass boat. Would love to see a V drive build though. Jets are cool and all but it’ll never be as fast as a v drive with the same build. Having reverse is a pro though
I had to bite my lip on that comment made in the video as well hahahaha. V-DRIVE FLATTIES 4 EVER BABY!
V-drive boats are badass, and a ton more straight forward to get set up, though I've seen a few of the higher horsepower ones detonate the v-drive and those aren't exactly cheap to replace, too bad that pickup they had with the v-drive got stolen
Put a hitch ball on the front of the side-by-side. Much easier to manuever down narrow difficult boat ramps
Gorgeous boat ! 🔥🤙
I love the sticker on his laptop!

What was the hose that was loose it was to the right of the turbo looking at the engine cam.
Dang that’s hardcore try running some variable geometry turbos like a exhaust break to help with a quicker decel?🧐
Cool build still curious what happened to all the above transom exhaust laws.
Lol!!!! The faster you go, the younger you look! My wife made that joke about me riding a motorcycle without a helmet on.
Pete and Newbern sound exactly alike lol.
after double stack on springs on test ride all i could see was yellow rag going into turbo (game over) lol
you need to enter that fishing tournament with the wife's boat😅
25:29 is latent jet bowl pressure as well, no?
