My friend bought one around 2 years ago for around £350k I know it’s a lot of money but don’t see them coming down much more it as you say a very special car oh well off to do the lottery

I have a 2rs and a new gt3rs (and had the old 991.2 3rs weissach) Give it the beans man, it's easier to drive than the 3rs minus the brakes instant feeling. It has fantastic traction. Love it.

Great to see you back Damian. Good show mate. I would love to drive one some day but i can't see it happning. My wife picked up a 718 boxter gts 4.0 a couple of weeks ago and i absolutely live the engine in that. Its a hoot to drive.

100% agree with you about driving the PDK in full manual mode all the time - I also HATE the lurch down through gears on 'kick down' - horrible - I always take full control then I know exactly what I'm getting at all times.

Sounded a lot better than I imagined it would, was expecting it to be quite muted like a 911 turbo. The GT3 is more of a screamer being n/a, but as you said 200bhp more and a shed load more torque makes it worth it. Agree on the spec also, that is a fine example.
Indeed the GT2RS is a BEAST, and one worthy of your garage! 340K is not cheap, but not expensive either given the price of new performance cars. This is a limited number and will only INCREASE in value due to the reasons as you state in your summary. Do it!

I totally agree re the colors and the looks. Menacing is the correct word. It's the only word to describe it. And the silver and black combo is awesome! Somehow I still like your GT3 Touring more. ;-)

.Congratulations on a fantastic in depth review of what is in my mind the greatest 911 of all time..As..someone who drives a fairly modified 997 turbo i have lusted after a gt2rs since its launch. If i ever found myself in a position to buy one i would not hesitate for a minute. I really do think you should go for it.

Great review of a great car. Just to point out that actually the 991 GT2 RS Clubsport was specifically developed for the new GT2 European championship launched by SRO. Over the seasons Porsche have released updates, the most significant being an Evo package making them even wider with bolt on fender flares like the original 993 GT2. Their next race is Spa 24hr weekend. 👍

I know absolutely bugger all about them, however I now feel enlightened. I don’t have a problem with the extra tan (even the sun visors), however tiz a little pricey but then again most road going rocket ships are. 🤷♂️ FUN THOUGH!

Just get a GT2RS and take some of the lead out of your shoe and that should level you out to a GT3 level!!

I drive myself a GT4RS and it’s awesome, GT3RS and GT2RS pales in comparison sound wise, but sometimes I miss the manual shifting and the only car I’d trade the GT4RS for is the .2 GT3Touring, a 991R or a 964/993RS. The new 3RS is just boring in comparison. Very fast, but sterile and clinical experience.
For Goodness sake! Just buy it. You know you want it. Once in a lifetime experience.
You experienced the F40. Now go for the GT2RS. We want to see more of it on the carguys.

Actually, the 917 had NACA ducts at front and 936 had the side intake as a NACA, the "Jules" car. 908/3 had them at rear.
In the late 1960s you could find them everywhere in racing world.
