- In this video, you will learn how to properly wash your clip-in hair extensions. The hair extensions in this video are 160g Luxy Hair extensions in color Strawberry Blonde. You can get your own Luxy Hair at www.bit.ly/Luxy... | FAQ:
Q: How often should I wash my clip-in hair extensions?
A: The less you wash your hair extensions, the longer they will last you. We recommend to wash your hair extensions every 15-20 wears or so, depending on how much product you use on them. Remember, since the hair extensions aren’t actually attached to your scalp, they don’t get oily like your natural hair and therefore don’t need to be washed as often. The only reason you need to wash your hair extensions is to get rid of excess product buildup, or if you’ve worn your hair extensions about 15-20 times and they need some refreshing.
Q: Do I need to wash my Luxy Hair extensions before I wear them?
A: No, Luxy Hair extensions are ready to wear straight out of the box! You do not need to wash them before wearing. Hair extensions are a hygienic product and therefore is completely safe to wear right out of the box.
Q: What products should I use on my clip-in Luxy Hair extensions?
A: We highly recommend to use natural, and organic hair products if possible. Make sure the hair products are sulfate free, alcohol free, and are designed for color treated hair or hair extensions. This will ensure that your hair extensions have a longer lifespan.
Q: Do I need to wash my clip-in hair extensions after curling to make them straight again?
A: It’s an option, but again, unless the hair has lots of hairspray and other product buildup, we wouldn’t recommend it. Instead, you can gently brush the curls and the product out with a soft bristle brush from bottom to top, use heat protectant, and use a hair straightener on a low to medium heat setting to straighten the set. Luxy Hair extensions are real remy human hair, therefore, can be washed and styled just like your own hair.
Q: Do these hair extensions dry straight?
A: Luxy Hair extensions are of Chinese origin, therefore, should dry straight. Be sure to brush the extensions straight before air-drying overnight. Some sets could be potentially dry with some beach waves, however, as mentioned earlier, can be styled with hot styling tools to achieve any desired look. Just be sure to always use heat protectant and your heat styling tools on a low to medium setting.
Q: Why aren’t you washing the actual clips/wefts in this video?
A: This is a personal preference. If you feel the tops of the tracks and clips need to be washed as well, you can definitely dunk the entire set under the water and wash the same way. If the main reason for washing is to refresh the hair itself and get rid of product buildup, not washing the tops of the wefts is simply a personal choice. This will also help the hair extensions air-dry faster. You can clean the clips separately with a Q-Tip.

I am so glad I clicked on this. I was putting all my extensions in a tub of water then picking out one at a time and washing it, they were all getting tangled with each other. Then I saw this and thought huh, duh of course, what was I thinking. Goes to show you how we can miss something so simple LOL!!

If I put to much oil after the wash of my hair extensions, how to I fix them from look sooo oily? Should I rewash my hair extensions? Please help!!
Could you please do a tutorial on a 6 strand round braid? I saw many pancord versions, but they didn't help as much.
That was a really good video, thank you for that...but you did not wash the part that attaches to your Hair, isn't that the most important part to also keep clean is the part that you attach to your Hair?
We're glad you found it helpful! When you wear your Luxies, you're mainly styling the hair with product, which is why it needs to be washed. Product is rarely applied to the base of the weft, which means you can skip washing the part. 💗
I got the weft wet and I think its damaged. That is not mentioned at all in this video. Do not wet the weft!
this channel is best
Is there a hair oil that you’d recommend for drying?
i like grapeseed oil for shine and moisture
perfect thanks!
I got the luxy conditioner and the mask conditioner do I need to use both? Or eighter one at a time should do it?
Hi Ana! Hope you are enjoying our new wet line! For your Luxies, we suggest washing every 25-30 wears or so. You may also apply the Repairing Hair Masks when you feel that the hair needs some moisture back into it. Please reach out to us at info@luxyhair.com with any other questions. We're here to help! 💗
Thanks !
Hello Luxy Hair
I dye it so how can I grab it like that? Have to put all hair in the bowl.
Hello! Please tell me, where do you get such beautiful fonts for the name of the video?)
For the conditioning part, can I use leave in conditioner instead ?
Yes! We suggest any shampoo and conditioner that is alcohol-free and sulfate- free. 💗
I live in India, I'm not able to get Luxy hair here. what should I do?
The Website says they ship worldwide. www.luxyhair.com/pages/shipping-delivery
Is This the Color Dirty blonde?😊
Yes! 💗
So how often should someone do this?
I got my weft wet! I think it did something. I wish these companies gave us instructions as to washing extensions instead of going on You Tube.

What colour is this
I just bought them and had them sewn in. After a day I want them out as they are tatty and feel fake already
What if it's cetyl and stearyl alcohols? From what I heard, those are consider hydrators and draws in moisture. I heard Denat Alcohol Alcohol, Ethanol, etc are the drying ones. Thanks for the video; very helpful.
How often should you wash them???
Hi Monica, We suggest washing your Luxies every 30 wears or so. 💗
What color is this one?
When you put the deep conditioner on the extensions do you have to put the extensions in a shower cap or can you leave it out?
You may leave them out as well, and then rinse off in the morning. 💗

ruclips.net/user/mimiikonn
very helpful cuz i just bought a new one today. thank you! 😘😘😘
We're delighted to hear this, Ella! 💗
I don’t want to condition because they’re too shiny and soft, which doesn’t look like my hair. I want them a bit dry
I m in Dubai how I can order luxy hair?
🎀 perfect thanks! ;o) 🎀
Do you need to condition can you not just shampoo wash it?
Yes, you will always need to condition your extensions since they don't receive the same oils your natural hair does. Just using shampoo will dry them out which can cause tangling/matting. Sometimes, even skip the shampoo and only co-wash your extensions with conditioner! 💗
What color is this?
This is our gorgeous Strawberry Blonde shade. 💗
But you dont wash the upper part of the extensions
You may hold the top of the wefts when washing, as this may be easier for you. 💗
i miss mimi
Could I just leave em in my hair or do I have to take em out to wash em? sorry I’m lazy 😂
2:28 she said Sksksks
NicolePinelli stop hahahahahah
where is Mimi?
Are you supposed to sleep with them on?
Hi love! No, we do not suggest sleeping with your Luxies, as they will tangle with your natural hair. It only takes about 5 minutes to clip them in and out, so you got this! 💗
😘😘😍😍😍😍
“Great”
mimi
Is that mimi's sister
Rimsha Khalid no
First like ❤️
