I put Yakima Showdown kayak racks on top of my 78 inch cross bars. I also put a cross bar on my truck cab to serve as a tie-down point for our kayaks. The towers are simple to install and adjust as needed. These racks are great game changers.
Hello. Currently showing availability on the OverHaul HD online: www.rackattack.com/truck-racks/yakima-overhaul-hd/ Our individual store inventory level will vary, but feel free to check with the store nearest to you to confirm availability: www.rackattack.com/stores/ Thanks!
Do they make a bracket to hold a hi-lift jack on this rack? I've ordered the towers, top bar, side bar and the ReTrac cover adapter set (from you). My wallet was tired at that stage. However, I might be looking to add the MaxTrack holder things on my sidebar. Can the Overhaul towers still be locked on and off or is the RX track addition only bolt-on and off?
No HiLift Jack specific carrier at this time. The Tonneau Kit 1 is a bolt on application and uses the Yakima SKS locks, here's a link to the PDF instructions: assets.yakima.com/Product/instructions/8001155/1
I just installed this exact setup. With the exact spacing. When I put the Yakima Skyrise HD on top, the tent bar attachments (even at maximum distance) were 3" short of being able to drop into the HD bar and lock. Any suggestions?
I was hoping there was a way around shortening the sidebar and the distance between crossbars while still mounting a tent up top. Thanks for your help!!
@@erichill6611 I know I'm a little late to this discussion but you can try to flip the two brackets around on the tent on one end. That would be one mounting bracket with the lock and one without the lock, flip them 180 degrees. I just put my Skyrise HD together today and was wondering why exactly the instructions tell you to make sure the mounting bracket "twist nuts" all need to face the same direction. You can squeeze another 2 or 3 inches of distance in between the mounting points effectively allowing you to space out the rack a bit more. This would be for aesthetic reasons in my opinion because I feel like it looks kinda funky having the rack squeezed together to fit the tent and not spaced out all the way, even on a short bed. Could be worth a try but I haven't contacted Yakima about it either so anyone's two cents on this would be appreciated. I'm not sure if it would create a warranty issue or if having the twist nuts on each end, facing a different direction, would cause the tent to go flying off for some reason. Seems to me like it would be just as sturdy.
I plan on buying one of these real soon for my roof top tent set up. I would like to see this on a F150 or similar full size truck. As well see the vertical posts at lowest setting to the highest setting. Thank You for the review!
Thanks Jose...be sure to subscribe to our channel, as soon as we have a chance to install the rack on an F150 we'll definitely upload a video. The crossbar height can be adjustable from 19 to 30 inch to suit your needs. Here is the configuration for the F150: www.rackoutfitters.com/yakima-overhaul-hd-truck-rack-towers-set-of-4/ www.rackoutfitters.com/yakima-hd-bar-large-68-inch-set-of-2/
Hello. The OverHaul HD includes Yakima's SKS locks to secure the uprights to the bases and tamper resistant bolts are used to connect the bars to the uprights. Overall, very good theft deterrents. Thanks.
What is the point of selling a locking cable that does not include the lock cylinder? Talk about a scummy way to double dip into a potential customers pocket.
The intention is to allow the user to match up all of the lock cores for their complete system, it's Yakima's Same Key System, (SKS). If each individual item included locks a system could end up with several different keys to manage.

Crossbar spread must be between 26” and 40.5”
for the SkyRise Medium. You'll just need to fine tune a little.
@@rackattack so I will have to take the extension out of the sidebar? Leaving just the one piece!
@@erichill6611 Yes. Here are the instructions for the SideBar showing the process. assets.yakima.com/Product/instructions/8001153/1

They sell Lock Cylinders by itself, which is like selling you the car key without the car :D
Wow everything is sold separately have to buy all different pieces, rip off
Hello. As a multipurpose system, the optional accessories are to customize the rack for the users specific needs. Thanks!
What size cross bars are those???
