  • This is a shorter video showcasing my new RoadShower 7G. While playing around with it I noticed I could make some improvements so I thought id make a short video and share my ideas with you! Enjoy!
    PS. I mentioned this in the video but I just wanted to make sure the leaking is coming from some crappy QD fittings that I have and NOT from the Flexzilla fittings.

    To those asking I copied most of his ideas and they worked wonderfully, except I used a green 10 foot flexilla hose (looks great) and was the perfect length to wrap around both side and mounted the quick fists with four 1'' carriage bolts from Home Depot (5/16th I think) same diameter as the include mounting bolts but shorter. I had to drill out the hole on the quick fist (MINI) to allow the bolt to fit. My original hose from the road shower cracked at the bend point and I was disappointed with the velcro and c clamp attachments so this was a wonderful upgrade to find. Thanks, very smart ideas.

    Great video! Like the rubber hose extension idea and modified mounting (i hate the original clips). Assume you keep water in the hose under pressure all the time as there’s a lot of volume in that extended hose! The idea of turning it around is fantastic as I dont really like the big product label lettering!

    Hello 👋 question : When you consume let’s say 60% of the 7 gallon , do you have to pressure the tank again ? I assume the pressure will be much less when the tank is full and pressurized @ 65 PSI.

    • @CodeBrownProductions
      @CodeBrownProductions  5 месяцев назад

      You don't have to repressive it but it is nice to do so as you get a more consistent flow

  • @RickReardon
    @RickReardon Год назад +2

    Great video! Couple of questions for you. First of all, the link to the hose goes to unavailable. My only question to you, is what is the length of hose you are using? I have the Roadshower 10G. Also, have you had issues with water coming out or not coming out? I have had what I think are air bubbles and it is becoming common place. Just wondering if you have had issues like this? I pressurize it to 65psi when I fill it. BTW- Your quickfist mod is legend!

    • @CodeBrownProductions
      @CodeBrownProductions  Год назад +2

      I can't remember the length of the hose. It's just long enough to wrap around the back side and the front. So no issues with water flowing, the valve works just fine. Only issues that I've had are the pressure cap blows off at 45psi instead of 55psi. Also I'm prolly gonna get ride of the quick disconnects as no matter what I do they just leak. I'll switch them to just standard connections. Also thnnk you for the kind works man I really appreciate it!

    • @RickReardon

      @@CodeBrownProductions Thanks for the response. I am looking at a 25FT hose since the one it came with is 7FT. Also- I hear you on the quick connects. I think I am going to get those out of the picture and also take off and reseal the valve this winter and put on a new pressure cap as well after I dry it out.

    Hey mate, love the video and will be doing the same. Question! How food you mount the roadshower to your platform? I ask because I’m goi g to need to mount to rhino rack pioneer platform and the slats run in the opposite direction to Yakima platforms. Justin in Wagga Wagga NSW Australia.

    • @CodeBrownProductions
      @CodeBrownProductions  10 месяцев назад +1

      I didn't use the slats I used the cross bars that go side to side under the slats. The bolts are long enough that they can reach down under the cross bars In-between the flat panels. This allows the tank to be nestled In-between the flat panels for extra support.

    • @CodeBrownProductions
      @CodeBrownProductions  Год назад

      You're gonna get mixed questions on this one. The manufacturer says it's not for drinking water. But I've seen several people do it. I do for what it's worth but I am from the generation that drank out of a garden hose

    • @lakorai2
      @lakorai2 11 месяцев назад

      According to Yakima no. If you want to drink out of this get an RV rated hose that is rated for drinking water.
      Rubber and Flexzilla hoses contain chemicals that are bad for you.
