Give me some feedback! It is so much more interesting for me when I get feedback from you . I also really appreciate knowing from which state or country you have just watched my video. I enjoy sharing with people from everywhere.
This channel is based on decades of experience. Everything explained is authentic, genuine, and fully tested. Take note that I am not sponsored by anyone. You have my honest and raw opinion.
Synchronized captions are available in English and in French.
Hello from the Chicago suburbs! Not only do you explain HOW to do something, but you talk in detail about WHY the solution works best. I really appreciate that. You're a great teacher. Thank you!
Thank you Diana! I very much appreciate having feedback from the video aspect too 👍
You must have recognized a clip from Chicago in that video...😃✌️
Thank you, Eric for sharing all your Design secrets with us in your classic Holly, informative and detailed style. That is so helpful to the rest of us watching. :-)
I’m binge watching watching you from sunny California, USA.🇺🇸😂
I love your solutions: simple, cheap, comfortable. And most important, you have tried a lot of solution before suggest something
Effectively! I think that you must have used, tested and improved things before sharing it. When I first published my van tour, I was already using my van for a year. You do not want people to reproduce none tested solutions with errors... Thank you for feedback. It is much appreciated 😃✌️
I am watching your videos from the UK. Having watched quite a few I must congratulate you on the quality of both the information and advice. I have spent a substantial amount of time in my own stealth camper. With many years in different environments and seasons over many many miles and the key is keeping it simple. All your advice and technical approaches are well grounded and work. For all those who aspire to attempt this adventure listen to the words from this man. I promise you he will save you money, time and so much grief.
I so often tell people it only looks simple when you see someone doing something they know how to and understand it. Believe me that is not very often. Eric is just such a craftsman.
Elbow oil 😂! We would say elbow grease in New Zealand. Very similar, same meaning, but the slight difference makes me smile 😊
Nice! Thank you for your comment 😃✌️
"Elbow grease" for sure afaik( Western USA)
Hi from Australia. In the process of building a campervan 🥰
Wonderful! You will never regret this! ✌️
Australia 😃
I already found a ton of information about solar roof showers, but yours gave me new ideas. I thought of the challenge of how to stop the water from moving over the whole length when braking suddenly. I like your idea.
Greetings from a Dutch living in Madrid
Thank you for your feedback 😃👍
Eric: the Zen Master of Vanlife! Love all your videos. Started watching you when I lived in Kyoto, Japan, now in Huntsville Alabama.
Thank you Michael for your comment! Japan to Alabama! So cool! 😃👍
Good morning to you, Eric Enjoys Earth!
I come to you from the "thumb" of Washington in the Pacific Northwest area of the United Ststes of America.
I am privileged to live near the beautiful Olympic National Forest, which is one of the world's few temperate rain forests.
I always derive much good from your videos.
First, there is your desire to help people succeed by sharing your experience- tested knowledge. I hope to incorporate much of what you have shared in your videos into a wheel- chair- user- friendly build for my family and me.
Second, you share the how and why of each likely solution in such an accessible, respectful manner. Three, because of the first two, your videos remind me of my dear departed father, and the comments about customs officers wanting to open the ends of the tube reminded me of when I took fishing poles to Mexico as gifts to my late husband's relatives.
Thank you for bringing good to our lives!
Thank you Melody for your very nice comment! You made my day! 😃✌️
Another deeply practical solution, well thought out, and using actual science. The thing that stands out about your minivan camping is not just experience, but a solid education underlying your choices. Thanks from the Mid-Atlantic.
Thank you my friend! This is an awesome comment very much appreciated 😃✌️
Eric, you put so much thought into everything you do on your van. Your explanations and photos of each project are detailed but simple to follow and understand. I look forward to your videos. Thanks.
I'm following along from Wisconsin USA, on the south shore of Lake Superior.
Thank you Kathy! I am very glade of your comment. It is quite a source of motivation! You made my day! 😃✌️
The water tube baffles are a great idea! Such a simple and effective solution.
Thanks for your feedback Nate👍
I can't find them for sale anywhere in the UK :/
Not even sure what to search, though.
From Minot, ND - USA. I would not have considered so many points, such as ensuring the water cabinet does not thrust forward like a torpedo. Thank you for mentioning all the things you think through. It helps me to look at challenges in new ways. Very neat shower!
Thank you Shannon. I am glade to be of any help and that you appreciate my video 👍😃
Between Eric and Bruce Parks, I've learned so much to help me with my Sienna build out. Thanks!
It’s a pleasure David! Thank you for your appreciation 😃✌️
Enjoying all the detailed contributions. I've been born and lived my entire 72 years in a 3rd world country. I want to add to the nice details, a common one that all dominicans would use if you don't have enough water and or pressure in the solar tank: a container of some 3-4 gallons and a jar. Always pleased with the chanel.
Thank you for your appreciation et sharing your experience. ✌️
Thank you for the new video. I recommend your videos to other people frequently. Keep posting!
Thank you Scottie! It is much appreciated 😃✌️
Eric, I just watched your video from Western North Carolina. Anticipation and then excitement when I see you have posted.
The solar shower is brilliant. The baffles…sweet. I don’t believe I have seen that in any other DIY project. Also, the simple way you pressurize the system.
It is so very obvious how much time and effort you put in to any of your projects before you post them.
Thank you for your quality work.
Thank you Robin for this awesome comment! I really appreciate. «Calculate is as good as working» my grandfather used to say! Showing tested stuff is essential! Thanks! ✌️
Quebec, Canada. I am not yet at a build stage, but will keep all your instructions for possible future use! Thank you so much for taking time to share your solutions!
Learning to avoid mistakes is the best! Enjoy planning your project. Thank you Marie for your comment ✌️

Hi Eric,
My name is Danny Coffey and I live in Visalia California that is by Sequoia national Park.
I want to thank you for your van life videos and your wisdom and experience that is awful nice of you to share with the rest of us.
I worked hard all my life my wife passed away my kids are grown and I am going to enjoy my van life but I appreciate your wisdom and experience.
I'm going to build my solar shower like yours and I thank you so much for all your tips and experiences save me the misery of building my solar shower on my van thank you so much.
I especially never thought about launching the torpedo forward and putting the restrictions inside of the tube and I love your shower because it's simple.
And I love how you pressurize it again thank you so much for your wisdom and your experience of Van life and willing it to share it with the rest of the world
Thanks
Danny Coffey 😁
I will be watching more of your videos on the reflectix and everything else that you have to share and offer thank you again
Love your van life videos especially sharing your wisdom and experience with us newbies that do not have any experience thank you
Danny Coffey 😁
Hello Danny! I am sorry for your lost. I am great full to help you with your built with my videos.
Thank you for your great comment. If you have questions, do not hesitate. Enjoy planning your project. You will never regret it. So much fun to travel, discover and contemplate 😃✌️
Golden moment of van life engineering 👏👏👏
Thank you my friend ✌️
10:37 cheers from Poland! I've seen most of your videos during covid, when the idea planted in my mind. Now that I bought a proper car I've started the process of conversion and I'm watching your videos again for ideas and solutions 💪
That's awesome! I am glad to be useful in your project! Enjoy the project! You are going to have so much fun with your van!
Poland! Cool!
✌️
@@ericenjoysearth2756 The most challenging part is that we have 186 and 189cm of height so hard to squeeze a proper bed to be able to sit on it while in day mode but I'm trying a few options before finalizing the project. I got Peugeot Rifter long with automatic transmission - very pleasant to drive. The whole process of inventing, creative use of space and planing is a separate hobby I guess 😁 Thanks again, cheers!
If you can sit on a seat when it is not converted, than you can sit with enough room! Enjoy your project 😃✌️
Well, not really as when sitting on a regular seat there is a lower floor for legs so that's extra ~20cm. When a seat is flat it goes into that space. But anyway, if the whole conversion was easy, there won't be a place for the creativity ;-)
Well said! Creativity is the fun part 👍😃
Eric, you are my VanLife real life HERO! Thanks for sharing your experience, expertise, & vanlife ENERGY! 🦸🏻♂️👍🏼 If you are ever in San Diego, CA, I'd love to meet you in person! I can host you in my house, and prepare a good home cooked meal to pay you back for all your contributions to the vanlife community. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 Jon
Thank you my friend! I really appreciate your comment and offer. I am glad to be useful in your project. Your gratitude comment is a source of motivation! Thanks 🙂✌️
From Arizona, USA. Thanks, Eric. I investigated several of these tanks on the internet and wound up with one similar to yours. But, nowhere did I find anyone installing the baffles in the tube. I intend to modify mine now to include the baffles. If I plan to cross international borders I will also modify the ends to allow access. I was a divemaster for a shop in Tucson, AZ and we made 3 to 4 trips per month to Mexico and the Sea of Cortez. On one of those trips I was hauling 15 scuba tanks for the class in my pickup. Crossing on the return to the USA a new border patrol officer wanted me to dismantle all the tanks, but fortunately an old timer was there who recognized me as a frequent crosser for the shop and let me go. You never know what they will ask you to do.
Thank you for sharing your experience. This is a very good one! I am glade that you will enjoy a travel and custom safe shower! ✌️
I love Arizona 👍
Greetings from NW Florida! I’m doing a Chevy express van and will be implementing this system. I imagine a first glance people will assume it’s a plumber van. Stealthy and hygienic! Thanks for the tutorial!
Hi from South Dakota, USA!! I've watched 100's of these videos and yours are by far the best in terms of simplistic innovation that is not over- engineered. I have a 2012 Honda Odyssey. I'm currently trying to devise a setup where I can keep one of the second row seats usable for when I'm on the road and then remove it as needed at night to pull out the bed.
Thank you Meghan for this awesome comment. I really appreciate. Enjoy your project 😃✌️
Hello from Malaysia. Just wanted to say thank you for sharing all of your valueable information with everyone for free. And i feel calm watching your videos. Cheers Eric.
Thank you! I really appreciate your comment ✌️😃
Hello from Los Angeles, California. I am born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. Enjoyed this informative video because I am not interested in hooking up systems to my engine. My father enjoyed traveling by car and camper and so do I however, I have not invested in a trailer at this time. I work full time so I am a weekend traveler. I had watched your video about your van build and your reasons for building this way. Another great video. Thanks again for taking the time to explain your solutions to common issues DIY travelers come across.
Thank you Karen for sharing and commenting. It is always interesting to read about people perspectives. Thank you for your appreciation ✌️😃
Hello from the Yucatan, Mexico. I like your shower build. I especially like the baffles you put inside the pipe to stop the water from sloshing back and forth.
Thank you Mike for your feedback 😃👍
Eric, Thank you for another problem solved! I'm from Goldendale Washington and am a 65 y.o. grandma just starting my van conversion in a 1998 Oldsmobile Silhouette.
I love your videos. ❤️
Thank you Sue for your appreciation! You will have so much fun to travel! Enjoy realizing your project 😃✌️
Hello from Boston, MA! I really appreciate the simplicity of your solutions. It’s easier for DIYers to replicate than the much more expensive professional van conversions. It’s also comforting that no permanent change is made to the minivan structure. This way, if a van life is not really to your liking, you are not wasting too much money and time anyway.
Exactly! Plus you won’t lose everything that you have build since you can transfert your conversion fournitures into a new van with less mileage!
Thank you for your feedback Xinzhong 👍
You’re an inspiration to me! We became homeless recently and the only thing we owned was our van! You have my mind working overtime on projects to make our life better while we come out of our situation as we work to save $$. I’m obsessed! Thank you! My 1st project is going to be the bed! I’m stoked!
I am sorry about your temporary situation. As always, things always finally get better. One thing brings to another, you may enjoy the freedom of always having your home on wheels with you! I am glade to be of any help with my videos. Enjoy your new project my friend ✌️
Thank you my mind is fired up with ideas. But my 1st project is making that bed of yours! I’m loving it!!
Great! 😃✌️
Another excellent video Eric! Looking forward to part two. You don't post often, but when you do we can all count on yet another high quality well thought out video well worth our time. Best wishes from Edmonton Alberta.
Thank you Rolland this is a great comment!
I was too much enjoying summer! But I have written a few videos that will follow more rapidly! ✌️
The water disk to slow sloshing is ingenious, and end caps are good idea too. Thanks
It’s a pleasure my friend! 👍
Thank you Eric. I enjoy your videos so very much. You clearly put a lot of thought into each build and video. I particularly like your idea of putting a screw cap on each end of the tank. I hadn’t thought about the fact that customs would want to check inside the tube. I also loved the water sloshing animation. Watching from California 🚙
Thank you Laura! I very like your comment. I really like having feedback also on my videos. I really enjoy that animation too. It is fun to watch knowing that I made this with manual drawings! ✌️
Keep them coming Eric. I love your videos and have used a lot of your ideas. I don't travel in a van, but I do travel in a Prius which is kind of a smaller version of your Sienna. At 1:49 on your video, you drove right past the off ramp to where I live. I'm in Hollywood California - but I'm in the Hollywood Hills - in an area called Beachwood Canyon which is part of Griffith Park. Really great hiking up here. Next time you're in the area let me know and I'll show you all of the hidden staircases we have in our canyon and take you to our village cafe. In the meanwhile, happy trails to you.
Thank you Laura for this cool comment! Reading it, I was seeing your neighbourhood in my mind! I am looking forward to go back. I like California so much! 😃✌️
The tank baffles are a clever addition and WELL worth the little extra effort! Much safer and easier to drive.
Completely agree! Thank you for sharing 👍
❤ from India. I have subscribed because of your honest practical solutions for making van life possible for everyone. Besides, you are not creating videos for making money by showing unnecessary things to viewers but to help them by showing your actual real life experiences. Thank you very much.
I really appreciate your comment! Thank you! Welcome to my channel 👍
@@ericenjoysearth2756 😍😄🙏🏽
Thanks Eric for another great video. Greetings from San Francisco!
Thank you Clinton! There’s a nice kick clip of San Fransisco in this video. I personally like to watch it each time! 😃✌️
Hi I live in North Carolina and I am a new empty nester. Spent a lot of time camping in my 20s. I got flooded while sleeping a few times and was really over tent camping. I have bought a mini van for my dog and I to camp in. I found your channel just in time... I have bought a tri foulding chair to bed. Looking forward to camping beach to the mountains 😎😃😄

Thanks! from Vancouver, Canada. 🕊
You are welcome!
Vancouver 👍
I have found that shower tents last a maximum of one year when you leave them set up all the time. I have had to buy a new one every year I have been vandwelling. Usually, the zipper wears out due to UV degradation. But the tie-down points also tear out easily. They are really only designed to be used for a two-week vacation, once a year.
Thank you Grant for sharing your experience. I hope that your comment will be read by many. 👍
Showers make a huge difference to me. Having a gym membership is better than nothing but still not ideal! The only problem with your system is maintaining your stealthiness. I am 90% urban camper 💜
Never had an issue. There’s a lot of workers who store things in a cylindre on their van’s roof...
Thank you for your comment, and for sharing your experience. I totally agree, gym are not always where you want them...
✌️
Would have been nice to have a parts list like to did in shower cabinet video.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge it's a great reflection of your yard camping .

Watching from the BAY AREA ❤

Hi, i am from Australia, i love your practical solutions.
Thank you! Love Australia 😃✌️
Hello from Belgium. Love your video's with no bullshit. Great stuff man. This was the first time to see seperations in a watertank. Awesome idea
Thank you! I much appreciate your comment. 👍😃
Hi Eric, Very well put together. Neat and simple rooftop camper shower. You explained it very well and very easily unstandable for a DIY. Im planning to do one for my Vehicle. Thanks for the video and explanation details. Cheers from India
Thank you for your feedback! I really appreciate 😃👍
Eric, thank you so much! I have used many of your ideas for my Honda Odyssey conversion and the result is that my van is much nicer, simpler and more practical than many others I've seen in my travels. Adding a shower is my next project so this video comes at a perfect time. Well done on adding the baffles in the pipe! I've been watching some ABS shower videos while I do research and you are the first person I've seen address the problem of water sloshing back and forth. I had already planned on adding them but hadn't figured out how yet, this is a great solution.
Thank you Eddie for your comment. I am glade that you enjoy your Odyssey conversion! It is a pleasure to have contributed to your project. You will certainly appreciate the shower! 👍
👍🏼 As a former plumber and park ranger (Minnesota), I have to hand it to you: the shower baffling is a great solution! You have so many good, helpful ideas for camping without too much expense! Thanks! 😎✌🏼
Thank you for you nice comment. It is very much appreciated 😃✌️

Love your van build videos! We're trying our own thing, but it would have been much less suffering to try to do it like you did yours. Miles to go! :)

Hello Eric, I'm from Germany. I like this outdoor shower concept! I am still in the progress of finishing my MiniVan, so there is always room for inspiration.
You are a talented animation drawer, first the bed, now the water sloshing. Never seen this in other video's - thumbs up! I will use your method of drawing all foldable bed parts and the frame on paper to make sure, my own idea will work and the measures will add up. Thanks for that inspiration also. :-))
It’s a pleasure Lennard! Thank you for your comment. It is much appreciated! Enjoy your project! ✌️😃
You are so smart!! I appreciate all of your visuals, drawings, animations. I am such a visual learner and they really help. Thank you!!

Thank you Jose for your feedback 👍😃

hey Eric, great vid. Here in the UK huge numbers of people are taking your advice for all things van life as it beats the lockdown holiday restrictions very nicely. Great work.
Wow! This is very cool to be useful to help you go through this! Thank you for sharing 😃✌️

Thank you for this great video! This is the best shower solution I have seen!
You made my day! Thank you for your feedback 😃✌️
Watching from southern Idaho, USA. I love the idea of adding a chipped removable end and the baffles. I was first going to build myself one of these systems but change to another idea.
Thank you for your feedback!
Idaho 😃✌️
Hi from Sweden, thanks for the good advice Eric. The tube and restriction disk design reminds me of technique used in large oil trucks for the same reason; avoid large forces by the liquid moving.
Exactly! Much more safer! Thank you for your comment.
Sweden 👍😃✌️
Hello from central Europe, Slovakia
Thank you for such a helpful diy van shower. Plan on using your ideas for my van build. Hello from California!

hi Eric, thank you for your videos from Milan, Italy!
Milan! Cool!👍
Thank you ✌️
Bravo Eric! Toujours informatique!
Montréal
Merci! J’aime Montréal! ✌️
Hello from Ontario! Another informative and helpful video, Eric. We’re in our 70’s but still want more adventures. Small travel trailers are so poorly made; ‘egg’ fibreglass campers aren’t available in Canada; we can’t even get a cargo trailer manufacturer to do the basics for us to convert. So now we’re back to your simple travel solution: a Toyota Sienna. We are Toyota people! ❤ My only issue is that at our age we need a ‘bathroom’ at all hours of the day and night. As soon as we figure out that problem, we’ll be ready to do your Sienna conversion. With COVID-19 keeping us from travelling safely by air to other countries, van life is a way to keep exploring. Thanks again.
Hello Hazel!
Effectively for many reasons a minivan is such a nice way to travel. Since you need to go to the bathroom anytime, I would place it right between the fridge and the sink cabinet (half behind the driver’s seat). To give more space to use it at night, if you can reduce the length of the bed it would be more roomy. To be able to use the cabinet door under the sink, I would switch place the sink to put it on the same cabinet, but on the rear of it rather than in the front (van perspective talking). I didn’t measured anything, but this is the first idea that comes through my mind this morning... Enjoy your project and go have fun! 😃✌️
@@ericenjoysearth2756 Thanks for your ideas, Eric. We’ll measure it up and see if it will work. Hubby is 6’1” so needs a long bed. 🤔 I like your attitude: Go Have Fun!
Enjoy planning your project ✌️
Yep, you keep proving your stellar ingenuity. ;)
Thank you Julia! Your comment is more than awesome! 😃✌️
Another Great video. It won't be too much longer before I'm ready for my first adventure. I've used your bed, cabinet and now the shower and curtain. I'll send you pics, from outside Nashville Tn. when I'm done. 1 1/2 years into this build. Thank you Eric, Mike
Congratulation Mike! You are going to have plenty of fun!!! Thank you for your appreciation and for sharing about your project 😃✌️
Hi from Turkey. Good ideas. I will use some of them 👍
Turkey! Cool!
Thank you for your feedback 😃👍
