Hello!! I'm Ecuadorian and vegan too ✊🏻❤️. I went to Atacames one week ago and I ate de same haha (Salad, lentils, rice). Sadly, it's kind of difficult to find prepared vegan food, but if you are specific in what you would like, they will understand, even when the order could sound a little bit weird for them haha. However, I can say that Ecuador has all of the products for having a happy and healthy vegan lifestyle. I'm so happy of finding your video. 🎉 I wish the best for you ✊🏻
Esmeralda is so beautiful, also you can visit Puerto Lopez another city of the coast of Ecuador ubicated in Manabí and Manta is another city full of beaches that I recommed you to visit
I've lived in Cuenca eight years, and we keep hearing about how dangerous Esmeraldas and the coast has become, due to the drug cartels, as well as human trafficking. What am I missing here?
You are not wrong. Paulette (my tour guide), kept saying to avoid Esmeraldas. Even the Atacames has persistent petty violent crime issues. Always be vigilant.
Los q vivimos acá sabemos cómo esta nuestra ciudad hace 2 meses ESTAMOS MUCHO MEJO UN 80 X CIENTO MAS SEGURO. LAS PROVINCIAS MAS GRANDES SI TODAVIA ESTA PELIGROSO COMO GUAYAS PERO ESMERALDAS ES MUY TRANQUILO GRACIAS A DIOS
Its dangerous but only in specifics places, you know, dark places rural zones but in the center and in the turistics places is safe. Esmeraldas is beautiful, the nature, the beaches, the sea food, there are also severals great hotels. Like ecuadorian I recommend absolutaly visit Esmeraldas Atacames 👍. Ah and also you can take a tour is a safe option too.

Oh no!!! You're vegan. It's very hard to find vegan food in ecuador. Even if you order just plain white rice in ecuador, it may not be vegan. Many people will cook rice and add lard to it. Same with anything fried, it could contain lard or talo.

Is there a self-catering option, including supermarkets in Atacames? I'm really not cut out to live on fried plantain and ceviche.

nosotros como humanos en general destruimos y contaminamos todo lamentablemente.
