I find it amazing how the tree of life has three spheres that correspond to the three outer planets. The outer planets were discovered about two hundred years ago and Hermetic Qabalism have been around longer. I'm guessing Western Hermetic Qabalism had its roots in the Renaissance revival, and I remember you saying before to remain fluid in our interpretations. The tree of life has 22 paths, just happens to be the same number as the major arcana. So I looked up the history of the tree of life and the Rider Waite deck and the tree of life went through an evolution from the late Middle Ages while the Rider Waite was first published in 1909, coincidentally when people began using tarot cards for divination. Tarot cards were originally created for games. Whoever made the Rider Waite had the tree of life in mind.
I do talk about that in my courses on my website. But essentially, it’s all theory and correspondences. Those outer planets were only found recently so traditionally they are not in tree of life theories.
