Did anyone else ever get addicted to the Falsies push-up DRAMA....it was in a black and pink tube which was skinnier at the bottom, another one for me was the lash stiletto ultimate length, then the other one I remember loving is ...the Volume express the rocket mascara in the dark blue/purple tube with pink print on it...... but yeah those were my top three Maybelline mascara
Spot on, I agree 100% with all the makeup categories. Maybelline and Lash Princess are my favorites in mascara, but with prices rising I think Essence will definitely become my go to now! 💟👍💯
such an informative video!! ive been on a no buy for about a year to use up my stash and this helps a lot with what I should look out for as I come out into the market looking for replacements. :)
@@slashedbeauty the matte putty and primer infused blushes are amazing! Also their micro fine misting spray is an urban decay dupe. They're batting 1000th lately!
Great video 🥳👍🏾. Maybelline mascara; Essence liners & hi lighters; NYX glosses; L'Oreal foundations; L.A. Girl concealers; Milani primers & lip products; E.L.F. just about EVERYTHING 😍; W n W shadows & highlighters.
Just now caught this video, I totally agree with all your examples and choices 😊 Essence is one of my makeup addiction brands, I have 6 of their palettes and I love their brow products 💯
I think your analysis is spot on, but for me, one of NYX's strengths has also been in their lip products as well. I find their lip colors to be key...so many drugstore brands have good formulas but boring and predictable shades that always feel dated to me, with the exception of some of Maybelline's discontinued colors in their bullet lipsticks.
I agree with all of them except for Nyx. I think their strength is eyebrow products. It always has been, and even more so now with their newest releases. I also halfway agree with Colourpop. I think their strength is the super shock formula, but not just the eyeshadow, the cheek products as well. It's still so unique
Very interesting how there's so much of a difference of what works from person to person-- their super shock blush does NOT work for me, idk it just won't show up no matter what shade I buy. The highlighter I like though. As for NYX brow products I think their shade selection is really weird and leans warm. Luckily black works for me when my hair is colored.
@@slashedbeauty I'm fair skinned with blonde hair, so it would make sense we would have different experiences regarding pigmentation. As for the blonde shades in the Nyx brow products, they're almost TOO cool toned for me!
Looking great, Miranda! I couldn't agree more with your thoughts/recommendations in this one. (Which is why you are my favorite youtube creator!) I recently purchased two super shock shadows for the first time from the Colourpop website. Both, unfortunately, came broken (so I see what ya mean!) but I'm still going to try to get some good use out of them!
Those Essence liners are really good! And for $3.00 too! The Espresso shade is super dark, stays put, even on the waterline, and doesn't run on my oily skin. Love their 6 pan eyeshadow palettes too. While I do enjoy their ..I 💜 Extreme..mascara, I like Maybelline Colossol and Elf's Big Mood just a bit better.
Hi, Miranda - love this kind of video. It would be great to see the one-brand gram video next. 😉 I agree with you on elf, L’Oreal and Wet n’ Wild. I am not a fan of NYX anymore and we don’t have Colourpop in the drugstore here in Canada. I feel like Revlon does an amazing job with lip products AND foundations; I usually rely on L’Oréal or Revlon there. Another brand that is coming up the ranks in my opinion, (especially having gone Bunny-approved) is Covergirl. Their face products, including concealers, foundations and blushes are some of my favourites. Have you tried their new lip renew lipsticks and ageless mascara? Impressive.
Thanks for the recommendation!! I do agree Revlon has great lipsticks, I think they're the brand's bread and butter. Definitely considering a part 2 to this so I can cover more brands!
I agree those are the best drugs store products. I love the Milani lipsticks flor I have all the shade.Wet wild eye shadow pallette. I also love elf products need to try the primer . The other products I need to try is color pop. Thanks for sharing.😀💄🎨💕💛💙
Never used false lashes my lashes are naturally long I’ve tried the other day for the first time and laughed so much at myself! Lol doesn’t make a big difference for me the L’Oréal one is my favourite!
Surprised you didn't mention blush, bronzer, or highlighter from the brands. I do love Physican's formula. But milani's sliky bronzer is so good! Like elf's putty blush and bronzer. Surprised you didn't mention revlon or pixi as well. But pixi is a little more expensive and revlon is a hit or miss.
I was focusing on the one product category each of these brands does well-- I think out of these six brands in particular there were clearer strengths than blush, bronzer etc. I should definitely do a part two though to cover more brands!
Do want to add, drugstore mascaras are better than high brands. Maybelline and L'oreal are my top brands. Essence is good too but I notice I lose Essence mascara fast lol.
If ELF ever runs out of their Power Grip primer, buy their Jelly Pop collection primer. It's exactly the same thing, same amount, same price....and smells like watermelon!
@@slashedbeauty thank you for the confirmation! I love the jelly pop watermelon smell but I am happy we have the grip primer as a replacement because I know a lot of people doesn’t like scent on their primer or skincare.
@@slashedbeauty idk ig jus being a crackhead lmfaoo. I saw your deodorant crystal video from four years ago and you said you were a senior seven years ago then i started thinking ab how imma be a senior next month and idk😭
LOL! Yep, This year is 11 years out of HS for me 😛 I dont even know if reunions are still a thing, because with social media we all keep tabs on everyone anyway!
Do you agree with my thoughts? What drugstore makeup brands would you want to see in a part 2?
Absolutely
Please review your favorite concealers on both higher and and drugstore
Also new mufe foundation, shiseido foundation or any best foundation of all
I have a concealers short on my page, you can also find it on my IG under my reels!

Yep, prices are rising so much lately!
For me Nyx is really good when it come to lip products (not the first versions but the lattest).
Loved that video
They do make some great lipsticks!
Profusion is amazing at their eyeshadows!!
I'm just getting back into Profusion!! Love what I've been trying so far.
Yes I love NYX EYELINER as well as their LIP LINERS
I don’t know if I’ve tried the lip liners!!!
Where have you been all my youtube life?… So glad i found you🥰

I totally agree with you 😊 the best products from all these brands are so on point 😊😊😊
Walking on eggshells!!! Stawwwwp! ❤️🎉 lived for it back in the day!

I love the Maybelline sky high mascara! I really like the nyx lip juice gloss.
Ooh I haven’t tried those yet, thanks for the recommendation!

That’s a great point!! They always include more uncommon shades.
I would also love to hear your thoughts on Rimmel London
You know it's weirdly been harder to find Rimmel locally to me. I wonder how they're doing. Haven't heard about a lot of their releases lately
I really like their new range ‘kind and free’, the powder and the skin tint are bomb

Wet’n’wild eyeshadow>>>>
Lasts long summer days & sweaty weddings
Yes!!!
what would you say elf’s strength was ten years ago? are those products worth trying now?
Probably their eyeshadows. I've had hit or miss experience with their newer palettes.
Randomly, your teeth are so beautiful. 🤩
Lol thank you! Coincidentally I’m currently sitting here with my face half droopy from getting numbed for a cavity today 😂😂
What about Revlon? Almay? Covergirl? Neutrogena?
There's a part two 💕
