This only tells me that the Blake association wasn't founded by red John... He was just a part of it... The Blake association must've been a group of people who were at the top of line, top of the curve... A number of people... Seems like the producers and writers had many more story lines to tie into this story, but they stopped...damn it, why did they stop 😔
I would really prefer if they didn't make thus weird Association which includes half of all police, FBI, it is just and absurd. Red John is already a scary, powerful and mysterious character, making this organisation was just an overkill, few cops in FBI and Bertram on his side would be just okay, but half of California killed it Also, what really pissed me of is that Tattoo thing is super stupid, first of all why would secret organisation use an identification system which does nothing but gives authorities a chance to just easily wipe out everyone the moment they realise the meaning of Tattoo. Secondly, why the fuck didn't FBI and other agents make everyone show their shoulders when they discovered that all cops from Association had three dots there, very embarrassing
They didn't have any evidence that that's what the tattoo really meant. I haven't watched this show for a while but wasn't Jane the one who told the CBI that the tattoo was a symbol of membership? If so, all they have to prove it is the word of a man who isn't an CBI agent and who has a closely personal view of the case which could make his judgment unreliable.
@@magmaticgames You hit the nail on the head. Jane and everybody else learned about the tattoo when Red John killed Kira Tinsley and left her alive. The problem with the Blake association and the front half of season 6 in general. So much felt rushed and it cam crashing down to quickly.
Actually the Blake association makes a lot of sense, it just needed to be explained more thoroughly. A huge thing was that Red John had a lot of friends at the right place and the right time so him having some kind of organization makes sense as to why he was always a step ahead of Jane. As for the tattoo. While the reveal of the tattoo itself was contrived, the only reason Jane was able to figure it out was because three members of the Blake Association (four if you count Brett Patridge) were on his list and he confronted them at the same time. It is why Kirkland never knew about it. The only way for someone to find out about the tattoo is if you capture multiple members of the Blake association at the same time. And like Kirkland, before anybody gets close, because you have an organization made up of cops, you just kill them and cover it up. And in the case of Patridge, you remove the tattoo off of any suspects.
The Matarese Circle. Robert Ludlum, a complex thriller, turn after turn. Excellent read. All members had a blue dot or circle tattoo the breast male and female. Though it was an international cabal. People in power. Many secret organizations have identifying tats or marks. Many have members who are people of wealth, and or power.
They really...really overplayed the Blake Association thing. It got totally absurd towards the end, and they made RJ nearly supernatural in his ability to escape accountability while reaching into the heart of police investigations etc.
Not really. The members of the association only started to act so brazen because too many people started finding out by the end and they were trying to shut them all up. Until they couldn't handle it and it went out of their hands.
I think the way to say it isn't about the Blake Association. Red John had a certain aura, a charisma. Rosalind Harker, Sophie Miller, everyone who ever came in contact with him was struck by a sense of awe, intrigue, fascination. So it's only natural he leveraged this and basically created the Blake Association. In a way, it makes him getting away with all his crimes believable rather than a lone wolf serial killer managing to do so on his own. However... The issue comes with the outcome. It's impossible to justify his defeat and it was arbitrary and dumb.
Watching this now it feels like they had other stories this could have went from finding red john to then finding away to shut down the Blake Association all together but I think they focused to much on Red John
Actually, the color palette was cold, because it represented the darkness, tension and sadness that was happening in the plot, it goes hand in hand with the FBI offices.

The real life Blake Association didn't like it? The Head Vampire complained to the Head of the Studio? 🤣
That's what they think. When RJ reveals himself he explains that he was the Black Association
everyone in making the mentalist priceless.
@Netflix should add this show ... I want to rewatch it but don't want to download it.
They did but got removed sadly.
It's on Amazon Prime!
Netflix Japan has it.

Never read Ludlum, huh? Many superb thrillers, ( fictional) can seem ludicrous in real life. Key word FICTIONAL.

THANK YOU. I thought the RJ thing was so overdone, I stopped watching because of that.

Oh, the Blake Association...
Anyone have a lore breakdown of the Blake Association

Gotta say, color palette in the later seasons was ugly

Schade das es nicht auf deutsch ist
Nah to bad for you
There are plenty of German subtitles. Dubbing shows from another language is a travesty. Mainly for kids who haven't learned to read subtitles yet.
